Michelle Buteau is something special, and that’s not just because we just found she was once the audience warm up comic for The Maury Povich Show. She’s also been on Comedy Central, performed at Caroline’s Comedy Club and won New York’s Underground Comedy Festival’s New Comic Contest. Not enough? Michelle Buteau also hosts a podcast called “It’s Your Journey, Boo!” where she and her co-host take solicit from people with odd jobs and weird hobbies.
Now what should we know about you?
And wash that down with a bit of stand-up from The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.
Recognize Amanda Seales? Probably. The 31 year-old happens to fall under almost every creative category under the sun: Comedian, Actress, DJ, Artist, Radio Host and finally, one of Best Week Ever‘s newest cast members. Amanda’s already been all over clip shows, so you might recognize her from the likes of TRL’s Greatest Moments to The 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s. You might also recognize her as “Amanda Diva”–a former nickname under which she put out DJ sets and co-hosted MTV’s Hip-Hop POV.
That all seems pretty interesting. What else you got?
Lower East Side native, Michael Che, is the youngest of seven children which makes him automatically the funniest. We can’t be positive, but with that type of built-in audience, he’s gotta have the chops to dole out some serious comedy.
Nice to meet ya, Michael.
Check him out on The Late Show With David Letterman:
Pete Lee knows he has the best name. He even shows up the other well-known Pete Lees on his personal website. But we’re pretty sure we have the one we want. Pete’s been telling jokes on Comedy Central, CMT, Sirius and he even played a doctor on TV. Seriously: on As The World Turns. (We couldn’t make that up if we tried.)
So tell us, Pete Lee, what’s up?
And after you watch this you’ll never be able to forget his name:
This year, Jared will perform his own half hour special on Comedy Central. You can also see Jared every week as a cast member on Best Week Ever. He has appeared on John Oliver’s New York Stand-up Show and TJ Miller’s Mash-up. He was a delegate for Comedy Central’s Indecision 2012 and works as warm-up comedian for The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Jared lives in New York but is originally from West Virginia. West Virginia is a state and is not part of Virginia.
If Ali Wong rings a bell, it’s because you might watch TV. That’s good, because she’s been everywhere from The Newsroom to The Tonight Show. And now, Best Week Ever! She’s also Los Angeles-based and 2011’s Variety Magazine’s “10 Comics to Watch”–meaning, you should be watching her. Literally. On your TV.
Now what’s so interesting about her?
But, Ali, what do you think about American Apparel?
How quickly these things come and go. #BestNightEver was trending today, apparently for a Clear campaign (#BestScalpEver?) and if anyone knows about the Best ____ Ever, it’s us. That being said, we were curious who was having the #BestNightEver and what they were doing…
Excited for Best Week Ever to make it’s triumphant return to your TV this coming January? Entertainment Weekly is, and so are we. 2013 is shaping up to be a great year, and it’s not only because the world decided not to end in 2012. Brand new cast members (get used to their faces, because you’ll be seeing a lot of them on this very blog) Pat Dixon, Pete Lee and Amanda Seales told Entertainment Weekly about their sexiest TV and movie moments and the most annoying things of 2012.
