All eyes were on John Travolta and Kelly Preston at Monday’s premiere of Savages in Los Angeles, but not just for the reasons you’d think. Sure it was their first public appearance as a couple since the latest round of massage lawsuits against the actor, but Travolta and his wife of 21 years, seemed to want to change the story entirely by giving us a big PDA show.

The latest allegations against him seem to have taken curiosity about Travolta’s sex life to new levels. Here’s a little recap of the scandals that have followed the actor since May: Two unnamed masseurs charged him with sexual harassment and battery. Though these two men have since asked to dismiss their cases after holes became apparent in their claims, both have hired attorney Gloria Allred. And now other accusers have come forth, including Fabian Zanzi, a Royal Caribbean cruise steward who also contends Travolta asked and received an inappropriate neck message from him. Robert Randolph, the author of You’ll Never Spa in This Town Again is also suing Travolta for supposedly trying to discredit him as an author. Randolph argues that Travolta and his lawyer, Marty Singer, slandered him in attempts to undercut his book’s claims that Travolta was a gay spa frequenter who hooked up with other male spa visitors.
So, yeah, maybe it’s a good idea for Travolta to stay closer to Preston and away from cozy spa robes.
Sometimes our jobs are very tough around here. We’re a little more than halfway through 2012, and as we very studiously looking back at all the year’s most newsworthy and RT-ready Twitpic’d, Instagram’d and Facebooked photos, we started to feel a little nostalgic. It seems that many famous people have stopped accidentally sharing naked photos of themselves this year. I mean, good for them for learning, but bad for us. Still, there was no shortage of controversial pics — many thanks to Rihanna, who doesn’t care what we think of that white powder or that possibly racist threat against Karrueche Tran. We had some headline-makers, like Miley Cyrus’ non-engagement ring and Leann Rimes’ “fun” shooting range photos. And there certainly were some steamy snaps — from Disney stars like Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale, usual suspects Coco and Kim Kardashian, and even newcomers to the scene like Paulina Gretzky. Not many guys got in on the action, but Usher is worth about a dozen regular men, right? Anyway, enough gabbing, let’s get on to the photos!
Katy Perrydid promise us that her 3-D concert doc, Part of Me, would show everything she was going through while on tour, including her rocky relationship with soon-to-be-ex-husband Russell Brand. Now we’re getting a better idea of just how much she’s showing in the flick, which hits theaters on July 5.
In an interview with MTV News, Perry explained that though it is hard to deal with her split publicly, she wanted to show her fans even the ugly side to her story. “The truth will always prevail,” Perry said. “If you were to have seen that movie and walked out and [my breakup] wasn’t at all mentioned, like it never happened, you’d be like, ‘Eh, this is weird. What is she trying to hide?’ I don’t like to hide.” Read more…
There’s one 11-year-old that keeps turning heads because of her free spirit, mega superstar parents and her newfound celebrity. Unfortunately, the attention isn’t always good for Willow Smith. Over the weekend she posted a picture to her Instagram account showing off, wait for it, a tongue ring. After 699 comments–some of concern others of admiration– according to various sources, Willow said the tongue ring is fake. Phew. We’re all about self expression for children, but a tongue ring may have pushed the envelope a bit too much. Read more…
For many people, June 25, 2009, was the day we lost a legend, Michael Jackson; for some of us, it was the beginning of a sleepless week gathering every bit of news we could about his life and tragic death. For Paris, Blanket and Prince Michael, it was, well, obvs, a lot worse. And in the past week, Paris reminded us as much, as she continued what she started three years ago (when she spoke about “the best daddy” at MJ’s memorial service): Making us love and admire her from afar. Seriously, this girl has some incredible poise. “RIP Michael Jackson .. Dad you will forever be in my heart
We like this latest rumor, courtesy of the New York Daily News, way better than the ones flying around last month about Beyonce snubbing Kim Kardashian in London. After KK and Bey were spotted dancing together at Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne concert in Birmingham, England, on Thursday — and an eagle-eyed fan snapped the above pics posted on @BeyonceLite’s Twitter, we can tell things are much warmer between the two lovely ladies. The Daily News proposes this explanation of why we didn’t realize until now that the two are on quite friendly terms: Kim knows how much Beyonce and Jay value their privacy. Unlike Kardashian, whose very career relies on her penchant for oversharing.
“She’s hung with them a few times already, but she isn’t saying peep about them,” the source told the paper. “She’s not tweeting or taking pictures with [Beyonce] because she doesn’t want to seem desperate.” Read more…
What if instead of robbing the cradle, you moved in and started looking for a good school district to send the kids? That wouldn’t be so bad, right? Kick-Ass director Sam Taylor-Wood and her leading man Aaron Johnson certainly don’t think so; the 45-year-old bride and 22-year-old groom got married yesterday in Somerset, England, Us Weekly reports. The two are parents to toddler Wylda Rae and baby Romy Hero, both took the last name Taylor-Johnson and will someday soon be old enough for news stories to gloss over the fact that, age-wise, they could be mother and son. Maybe in 7 years? 8? Maybe never?
The marriage has been three years in the making; rumors of their engagement have been swirling since 2009, when Taylor-Wood directed Savages star Johnson in Nowhere Boy. Of course, we know empirically that age ain’t nothing but a number. Alec Baldwin is 54 and his fiancee Hilaria Thomas is only 28, and no one seems particularly worked up about that 26-year age gap! Though, even as we type this, we remember that might be because she wasn’t 19 at the time they got together. Oh well, who are we to stand in the way of love? Even weird love? Maybe weird love is the best kind of love! All the May-December romances in our crazy age gap gallery seem to suggest that it just might be:
It’s models having models up in here! But first, baby news from the woman we model our life after (that’s a good segue, right?)(But seriously, the woman is married to Chris Pratt. Chris. Pratt.) Anna Faris. “He’s doing great!” the Dictator actress gushed at the Samsung Galaxy S III launch yesterday, letting slip that she’s expecting a boy. “We’re growing every day!” The actress and her Parks and Rec star husband are expecting their son in the fall, which means we have over two months to find a spouse…get pregnant…uh, star in several Scary Movie sequels…and meet Sacha Baron-Cohen to catch up with her. Wow, we have not been using our free time wisely at all, have we?
Now to the actual get-paid-to-be-hot model moms: 30 Rock star James Marsden is allegedly expecting a child with model Rose Costa; Marsden has two other children with ex-wife Lisa Linde, from whom he split in October after 11 years of marriage. Marsden and Costa are no longer together, but what better than an adorable baby to bind to insanely attractive people together forever? Meanwhile, Kings of Leon singer Caleb Followill and Victoria Secret model spouse Lily Aldridge welcomed their undoubtedly gorgeous daughter Dixie Pearlyesterday morning in Nashville. No, seriously. Look at this couple and imagine their offspring. There can be no doubt:
It’s always hard when a prepubescent pop star becomes an adult, isn’t it? On the one hand, how could David Letterman be that offended by Justin Bieber‘s new tattoo last night when the Biebs has been getting up to various scandals for at least a year now? “Oh god, how many do you have?” Letterman moaned at the sight of Justin’s new “Believe” tattoo. “Grandpas!” Justin just laughed. On the other hand, we understand. We all want to feel like Justin is still that same cherub who sang, “Baby, Baby, Baby.” Just look at those little tiny bangs! Look at them!
But if the details of Bieber’s increasingly adult life are to be believed, at 18 Justin is deep into Grown Man Territory. Hey, half of you should be really happy about this! The older Justin gets, the less creepy it is for us to have his autographed photo in our cubicle. We mean…in your cubicle. Need more evidence that the only thing still baby-like about Justin is that face? Check out our timeline of Justin Bieber’s scandals below, and weep: Read more…
Tony Parker isn’t taking his scratched retina injury incurred from the Chris Brown and Drake brawl lightly. Can you blame the guy? He kind of needs to see well to play basketball. TMZ reports the San Antonio Spurs player filed a lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court against W.i.P. club for $20 million. In the lawsuit Parker accuses the club’s security of negligence for letting in both Drake and Chris Brown in at the same time. He also says the club knew there was “bad blood between Drake and Brown” and they continued serving alcohol to all parties involved in the melee despite their visible intoxication. Parker is trying to take ballin’ (and we’re not talking about on the court) to a whole different level. Read more…
