The west is going to get a little wilder when They Die By Dawn hits the big screen! The action flick starring Nate Parker, Michael K. Williams, Erykah Badu and Rosario Dawson tells the stories of real life African American cowboys from the past, teaming up, kickin’ ass and taking names!
Nicolas Cage has played some pretty insane characters in his day, which is why we guess it makes sense that Dreamworks honcho Jeffrey Katzenberg asked him to provide voice to Shrek, the lovable green ogre in the film of the same name. But amazingly for a guy who has made The Wicker Man, Con-Air, The Rock, and Bangkok Dangerous (we could go on), Nic turned him down!
VH1′s Emmy winning Rock Docs series is back with Downloaded, a brand new documentary about the rise and eventual fall of Napster. The movie was directed by Alex Winter, who is (perhaps) best known for his role as Bill S. Preston Esq. in the two Bill & Ted movies. On the red carpet at the world premiere of his newest film last night, we stopped him on the red carpet and asked him about the rumors that he’s going to be re-teaming with Keanu Reeves for a new installment of the universally beloved movie franchise.

The Daily Mail just reported that the delightful Anna Kendrick has officially split up with her longtime love, Edgar Wright. Heartbreak is always devastating, but Anna is so lovely and Edgar is such a funny and talented director (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Shaun of the Dead) that this is especially sad.

Okay, so obviously, I know who Jessica Chastain is.
She’s now a two-time Academy Award nominated actress. She’s appeared in countless popular and critically acclaimed films in the past few years (including Zero Dark Thirty, Mama, The Help, Tree of Life, and Take Shelter). And for one dark day, I was under the misconception that she was romantically involved with Tom Hiddleston.
That said, I still have no clue who Jessica Chastain is.

But tragically I’ve been held back by my total lack of acting skills, directing skills, or any film-related talent whatsoever. Oscar host Seth MacFarlane did not, as he predicted during his opening monologue last night, wake up to any headlines this morning proclaiming him the Worst Oscar Host Ever. The creator of Family Guy and Ted DID earn himself a bit of backlash from Buzzfeed for his sorta sexist song “We Saw Your Boobs,” but many people who voted in our poll about his performance liked that he showed no fear in taking Hollywood’s A-List to task.
