Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much makeup, hair product and designer clothes you throw on – you’re not gonna cover up the fact that you’re not at your best. And that’s just the feeling we’re getting when we look at these photos of Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton at the Whitney gala last night in New York.
It hasn’t been a great time for either of them – Mischa’s show “The Beautiful Life” was cancelled after a spell in rehab that she is TOTALLY over, and Lindsay is now rumored to be dating a married man after having her probation extended (she’s denying it, however). Both girls desperately need to take some time out; Mischa needs to get herself a proper stylist and Lindsay needs to eat some fruit and vegetables. And that’s just for starters. [Photos: WireImage]
Horrific fashion was abound at Spike TV’s Scream Awards over the weekend, and two traditionally tantalizing ladies let us down. Jessica Alba looked sad in a conservative metallic number while Megan Fox‘s attempt at retro in red came off frumpy and forgettable. Both their ensembles and facial expressions were less than enthused, but who looked more miserable?
Other fashion disasters included Eliza Dushku‘s unflattering sequined frock, Christina Ricci‘s boring black satin tunic, and Jaime King‘s ill-fitting patchwork dress with wacky hair. Johnny Depp made a rare appearance at the Scream Awards in his usual “eccentric” garb. See pics below. [Photos: Getty Images]

Do you have your Halloween costume yet? Why not borrow Lindsay Lohan‘s genius idea from last year. “It was actually a really good Halloween,” Lindsay said of her ’08 holiday. “My friend Christie and I went to dinner with Karl Lagerfeld and the gang that he was with…I didn’t dress up, I just wore Chanel!”
Oh and what fantastic idea will she come up with for this year? Surely her media-happy father Michael Lohan will Twitter his suggestions, then mom Dina will respond. Such a cute family. [Source: FoxNews.com; Photo: Getty Images]
Last week was a glamorous one for Elisabetta Canalis, who joined boyfriend George Clooney on the red carpet at three film premieres—each for a different film of his! For a change of pace, the pair left London—where they pimped The Fantastic Mr. Fox on Wednesday and The Men Who Stare At Goats the day after—to hawk Up In The Air at the Rome Film Festival last night. Capping a series of poor fashion choices, Canalis combined the loose bodice of her hanging-by-a-nipple Goats slip with the mixed-fabric madness of her Fox ensemble, throwing in a see-through panel back for good measure. As if jealous Clooney fans didn’t have enough reason to hate her.

She’s already Britain’s sweetheart as one of the “X-Factor” judges, but could Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole cut it as a solo artist? That was the question obsessing the UK’s tabloids as Chezza took to the stage this past weekend to perform her solo single “Fight For This Love.”
Wearing a red military outfit that Rihanna would be proud of, Cheryl put on a storming performance that many of her (lackluster) “X-Factor” wannabes would do well to study as Pop Performance 101. Surrounded by around 30 men in uniform (which always helps), Chery’s sexy and fierce performance put her doubters to rest. As well as creating a new sexy zone by exposing her hips rather than anything else.
“It’s really going to pain me to say this, but that was incredible,” Simon Cowell said of his co-judge’s performance. Watch the clip above and judge for yourself – we say a new star is born… [Video: YouTube]
Avon $eem$ to think Fergie $mell$ like monay! The Black Eyed Pea is the latest celebrity to hop on the Avon bandwagon and make a celebrity fragrance, joining Reese Witherspoon, Patrick Dempsey, Courteney Cox, Derek Jeter, and Jennifer Hudson. Fergie will help cook up a yet-to-be-named women’s fragrance, which will first launch overseas before being available in the U.S.
“I love the roster of women Avon has supported,” Fergie said. “Each one is completely different, but they are all wonderful, strong women who have a purpose. It was very important to me to bring what I have to the table. I’m a bit more rock ‘n roll than some of the other artists, and Avon has really allowed my personality to come through.”

We hadn’t really bought the ‘shaggy hot hipster’ look until now. (Yes, we’ve seen Away We Go. Blurgh) Actually, we hadn’t even fancied David Beckham a little bit, ever, until now (it’s the voice). But what curious alchemy has combined the beard and the Beckham and turned it into a whole heap of hotness?
Victoria’s husband played an England match in his home city of London on Wednesday night, and what better gift than to convert the last few remaining women to his charms? It’s got us! [Photo: Getty Images]
Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom was glittering last night—and it wasn’t just the reflection off Spike Lee‘s hat. Alicia Keys and a very pregnant Padma Lakshmi hosted Keep A Child Alive’s 6th Annual Black Ball last night, entertaining a room full of stars with musical assistance from John Mayer and Chris Martin. Among the celebs in attendance were Usher, David Bowie, Iman, Adrien Grenier, Nick Cannon and Halle Berry, whose sequined, cut-crazy dress fit right in with Spike’s hat. Watch them all hobnob in the gallery below.

Enough people have taken a pop at Katie Price in recent times – and yeah, we have too – and it’s not nice to kick an attention-seeking fame-junkie when she’s down, is it? But it’s just too damn easy when the celebrity also known as Jordan steps out looking like this.
The too-small bustier, eye-watering boobage and bright blue stripper heels would be crimes enough on their own. But the skirt made of peacock feathers deserves some shock and awe credits of its own. And we were so drawn to the unholy creation of the skirt that we nearly missed the gravity defying hair. Gah. Someone get this woman a non-blind stylist, quick!
