Check out which songbird said the above quote after the jump. Hint: Her daddy has two first names!
Mariah Carey turning “Heartbreaker” into “Love Hangover.” Whitney Houston singing “I Was Made To Love Her” right alongside its legendary writer, Stevie Wonder. Céline Dion, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain and Carole King sharing the stage for a rendition of Carole’s “You’ve Got a Friend.” Cyndi Lauper and Patti LaBelle performing a stripped-down version of Cyndi’s “Time After Time.” Destiny’s Child doing Diana Ross’ “Upside Down.” Jill Scott trying her hand at the contemporary classic “(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman.” These are one-of-a-kind performances you’d only hear at VH1 Divas, and there are tons of them available for your fawning in our Divas Vault.
We have plenty more to look foward to when this year’s VH1 Divas premieres (live Thursday, Sept. 17 at 9/8c), but for now, we’d like to find out which past Divas performances are the fan-favorites. And so, we’re taking a poll via Twitter to determine the Top 10 Divas performances of all time. Check out the Vault and vote for whatever your diva-loving heart desires. (Please limit your votes to only the performances that can be found at the Vault.) We’ll tally the votes and post the Top 10 videos that scored the highest here at the VH1 Blog on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
You can vote in two ways: in the comments section of this post or by hitting us @ our Twitter (http://twitter.com/vh1) with the name of the performer(s) and song title (if you tweet, include the hashtag #vh1divas). Feel free to vote as many times as you’d like (although if you vote for something, like, 1,000 times, we’ll probably notice and stop counting your votes — just be prudent, K?), and then check back Wednesday to see how your favorite diva fared!
Remember: Voting ends Wednesday, Sept. 16 so hurry up and tell us which diva performance is the best!
As if Heidi Klum wasn’t graceful enough, balancing a powerhouse career as a supermodel and host of “Project Runway,” while keeping hubby Seal and their soon-to-be family of six smiling, Heidi found quite a slick way to respond to Karl Lagerfeld‘s dis of her career. The Chanel designer recently snarked, “I don’t know Heidi Klum. She was never known in France. Claudia Schiffer also doesn’t know who she is.”
Heidi responds in the new issue of Page Six Magazine, saying, “I don’t know why [Karl] said that. Maybe he wanted to be in the paper? Maybe he doesn’t understand what I do? It’s bizarre to me that he says he doesn’t know who I am because he’s dressed me in the past. I’ve worn Karl Lagerfeld. Not even Chanel—his line. Lagerfeld doesn’t just send random things everywhere, so it was a big thing for me [to wear his label] to the CFDA Awards a few years ago. I don’t know how he missed that, when he dressed me that time. But you know, it’s cool. People can say whatever they want to say. You can’t please everybody, and you can’t live your life wanting to please everybody either.”
Take that! [Source: Page Six Magazine; Photo: Rankin]

Six-months pregnant Kourtney Kardashian covered up her baby bump with a baggy top – even while going for a swim! – while spending time on Miami beach this weekend with her babydaddy Scott Disick. Expecting their first child together around Christmas, the couple made the most of the Labor Day weekend by having a lazy Sunday afternoon together, and looked adorable while doing so. Cuddling up on the sunloungers and messing about in the sea, these two made impending parenthood look like a beautiful Calvin Klein-style commercial. Cute. [Photos: Splash News Online]
Eff those fat accusations! Jessica Simpson showed all the haters that you can be a buffalo chicken wing-loving Southern girl and still work it on the runway just as ferociously as a rail-thin model who maintains a steady diet of Marlboro lights and Pellegrino. Jessica was a guest model at the Ozlem Suer fashion show in Paris, France today and strutted it in a gorgeous black gown. Own it! [Photos: Splash News Online]
Fads may come and go, but denim’s popularity never dies. This fall, denim trends include everything from the rolled and relaxed look (favored by stars like Halle Berry) to the super skinny pant (Lauren Conrad and Jessica Alba) to jean jackets in every shade. Experiment with an acid-washed mini one day and cut-off jean shorts the next. If you can dream it, denim can do it.

Lady Gaga appears almost naked in the new issue of V MAGAZINE, but when she’s not showing off her Gagas, the Lady is working it out in some plastic pink and blue peel off shades. Lady Gaga also poses in a blue Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquiere dress and Acne shoes. Check out her new spread in V MAGAZINE. [Photo: Mario Testino]
Solange Knowles may be a globetrotting diva, but the songbird showed that she doesn’t require a posh private pool at the Four Seasons in order to work on her tan. Beyonce‘s little sis’s tanning venue of choice on Tuesday was none other than the general public patronizing Central Park in New York city. No hotel key or velvet ropes here; Solange and a pal lounged on a blanket while listening to music, reading Dwell magazine and even chowing down on a sandwich and some chips for lunch. Solange is just like us! [Photos: Splash News Online]

Sex and the City 2 has been filming for no more than a day and the glamorous outfits already abound, excluding Sarah Jessica Parker‘s 80s-inspired disaster. SJP was seen yesterday bounding down the sidewalks of Manhattan in gold sparkly Louboutins and donning a chic wrap dress. Later that day, she strutted in a vibrant purple number accessorized with an oversized pink purse. While we’re worried about the plot lines of this seemingly unnecessary sequel, there will no doubt be plenty of fashionable eye candy. Which first day outfit looked more fabulous?
