Believe it or not, those amazing Elle Macpherson model genes haven’t just passed on to her two cute sons. No, the supermodel effect stretches far and wide, even to her pet dog. A news release has announced that Elle’s labradoodle Bella Macpherson (ahem) has landed a top “five figure” gig as the face of designer dog accessory brand Dogside.
“We’re delighted to have Bella on board and are certain she will be able to turn the heads of the nation’s eight million dogs,” says a rep. Pix of Elle’s (admittedly) cute dog strutting her stuff are available here – we just hope Elle herself doesn’t have to endure any future diva tantrums and phone-throwing from the newest star in the household. Tori Amos is sort of like the matriarch of eccentric pop stars, but she has some criticism for Lady Gaga, who she fears has more style than substance. The 46-year-old Amos has been in the public eye for over twenty years, but she doesn’t think someone like Gaga has such staying power.
Amos explained, “She’s what I call a meteor – singers who entertain people for a while. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with that. But then there are people like Neil Young who show up at Glastonbury 40 years into their career. And that’s a very different kind of artist. Neil Young doesn’t have to get his bum out on stage!” Now we have a mental image of Neil Young in chaps, thanks for that, Tori.
She’s not entirely critical though, as she thinks Lady Gaga does have a place in entertainment right now. “She wants to entertain people. Right now, half the world is depressed and they need to be entertained. So her timing’s perfect.” We agree with Tori, but at the same time, no one could have predicted the longevity and appeal of a redheaded songstress who regularly credits faeries for helping her write her music. We love Sandra Bullock very much, ever since we girl-crushed on her cool bob in Speed and recklessly attempted a home-cut version of her hairstyle back in the mid 1990s. Yep, it was bad. But even we can’t look past this dress disaster that Sandy’s wearing to the premier of her latest movie All About Steve.
Not even mentioning the shoeboots that actually serve to make her look a bit squat, the frock defies interpretation. As if someone was trying to throw together all this season’s hottest trends – block colors, sports luxe, draping, and a bit of body-con for good measure – but was blindfolded and drunk while doing so. She looks like the winner of a “Make A Dress Out Of Fabric Offcuts” project for kids. And did someone forget to do her hair? [Photo: WireImage]
$800k, to be precise. Cheryl Cole has joined the roster of A-listers around the globe to sign up to a big deal with L’Oreal Paris. The “X-Factor” judge and all-round British style icon is going to lend her (extended) glossy tresses to promote Elvive hair products in the UK. “I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase: ‘Because you’re worth it,’ so to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing,” she gushed.
This seems to be just the first step in Cheryl’s carefully stage-managed global domination, tying in with the return of the reality TV show on which she stars. Her solo music is due out in October – ready yourself, world! [Photo: FilmMagic]
We’re not usually fans of Eva Longoria‘s super-groomed Eurotrash style – with all those twiddly bits, over-formal dresses and bouffed hair, she dresses a lot older than her years (see also, Catherine Zeta Jones). But recently she’s started to simplify her wardrobe, and we’re totally loving this shift dress she was spotted wearing in Hollywood yesterday. Showing off her summer tan, with her hair pulled loosely back and accessorised with no jewelery apart from small earrings, we’re coveting this look.
Check out which songbird said the above quote after the jump. Hint: She had a film made about her starring Angela Bassett!
She may be a doting mother of one-and-a-half-year-old Max Liron, but when Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman passed through Los Angeles International Airport yesterday, the songbird reminded us that she’s still nasty. Christina lifted up her blonde locks to show off her “Xtina” tattoo, as if to remind us that although she can nowadays more likely be seen carrying a diaper bag and baby bottle then wearing assless chaps, she is still a badass. Britney Spears undoubtedly left her crazed fans satisfied as she kicked off the NYC portion of her Circus tour last night. Brit Brit teeter-tottered between sexy and nutty throughout the night as she donned looks ranging from a self-satisfying cop to a magician’s assistant. TheFABlife particularly loves her pink faux fur bolero matched with an oversized hammer. [Photos: Splash News Online]
