This year’s Cannes jury doesn’t run low on glamor. Headed by French actress Isabelle Huppert, the panel includes Asia Argento (found in everything from NC-17 art flicks to Vin Diesel‘s XXX), Robin Wright Penn, and Shu Qi from The Transporter among the international coterie of performers and directors. If their appearance at the festival-opening screening of Up is any indication, we should see them in plenty of beautiful outfits before they pick the Palme d’Or.

Eva Longoria Parker looked pretty hot a couple of nights ago stepping out for dinner at Beso’s. A bit 2004 with those tumbling extensions, but amazing by anyone’s standards. We wouldn’t automatically say this is a woman in dire need of a four-hour session at the hairdressers, no? Yet the next day, that’s just what the TV star did, spending the best part of her day at Ken Paves‘ L.A. salon, having those fake hair bits ripped out and put back in again.
The result of all this? Eva looked exactly the same. What a, er, transformation!

The same day her skanky stripper scenes in Powder Blue—released last weekend—hit the web, Jessica Biel looked downright museum-ready at the NY premiere of her other May release, Easy Virtue. John McCain‘s daughter Meghan allegedly tried to throw her weight around, dropping the old, “Does he even know who the f*ck I am?” after security busted her for showing up with three friends and just two tickets.

Madonna pulled rank with Rihanna recently, after the young starlet was set to wear a pair of lace-up, Louis Vuitton boots to Monday night’s Costume Institute Gala. Madge called dibs on the stylin’ shoes and Rihanna relinquished the goods, allowing the Material Girl to put the finishing touches on her stupidest outfit ever. Unphased, RiRi wore the Vuittons to lunch at Cipriani in Manhattan yesterday.

David Otunga proposed to Jennifer Hudson in such a romantic over-the-top way, that the Dreamgirl felt it was only right to do the same – so she proposed to him too!
Jennifer presented David with a 5 carat diamond ring last month personally designed by Hollywood designer Neil Lane.
“Jennifer wanted to give him something really special when she asked David to marry her,” Neil says. “It was very sentimental and romantic…they are really in love.”
Jennifer presented David with a handmade “architectural and geometric” platinum and diamond men’s ring, but the only catch was, she didn’t know his ring size. The couple came back to Neil Lane’s L.A. store to get it resized.
“They were so lovey-dovey and so sweet to each other,” Neil said. “He was very protective of her and they are so in love.”
