This year’s Cannes jury doesn’t run low on glamor. Headed by French actress Isabelle Huppert, the panel includes Asia Argento (found in everything from NC-17 art flicks to Vin Diesel‘s XXX), Robin Wright Penn, and Shu Qi from The Transporter among the international coterie of performers and directors. If their appearance at the festival-opening screening of Up is any indication, we should see them in plenty of beautiful outfits before they pick the Palme d’Or.
We’re digging on Beyonce‘s casual, California girl look here, seen as she frolicks on the beach in Monaco while on a break from concert gigs this week. Perhaps she calls this alter-ego Sasha Relaxed? [Photo: Splash News Online]
Eva Longoria Parker looked pretty hot a couple of nights ago stepping out for dinner at Beso’s. A bit 2004 with those tumbling extensions, but amazing by anyone’s standards. We wouldn’t automatically say this is a woman in dire need of a four-hour session at the hairdressers, no? Yet the next day, that’s just what the TV star did, spending the best part of her day at Ken Paves‘ L.A. salon, having those fake hair bits ripped out and put back in again.
The result of all this? Eva looked exactly the same. What a, er, transformation!

You have to admire her range. The same day her skanky stripper scenes in Powder Blue—released last weekend—hit the web, Jessica Biel looked downright museum-ready at the NY premiere of her other May release, Easy Virtue. Accompanied by Justin Timberlake and wearing a Philip Lim dress perfect for a Greek goddess, Biel did a great job of keeping the attention off her raunchy side.
Check out both looks in the gallery below.

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most glamorous events of the year, taking place in the South of France among celebrities, caviar, diamonds, and yachts, but some stars seem to slip up when it comes to working the red carpet. From Sharon Stone showing up to the amfAR benefit in an animal print gown to Natalie Portman sporting an origami-looking dress and Samantha Ronson looking like she just rolled out of bed at the Dolce and Gabbana party, some celebrities just didn’t cut it when it came to red carpet fashion at some of the most glamorous parties of the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. Check out our gallery of Cannes Worst Dressed of 2008!
Everything about the Cannes Film Festival is glamorous, and some stars really bring on the elegance at the red carpet in the south of France. From Milla Jovovich wowing in Versace to Penelope Cruz looking like a vision in white in Marchesa, these stars really dress for the A-list occasion. See who made our list of Cannes Best Dressed of 2008!
Celebrities such as Amy Poehler, Eva Longoria, Ed Westwick, Kerry Washington, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher swarmed Capitol Hill this weekend to rub elbows with politic big shots at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Funny lady Poehler looked simply stunning in black and white, and Demi and her hubby danced while decked out in Neil Lane diamonds (yep, they make diamond cuff links!). John McCain‘s daughter Meghan allegedly tried to throw her weight around, dropping the old, “Does he even know who the f*ck I am?” after security busted her for showing up with three friends and just two tickets.
We’re not sure what any of these stars have to do with politics, but we’re psyched to see the government get glammed up – Michelle Obama can’t do it all on her own! [Photos: GettyImages]
Madonna pulled rank with Rihanna recently, after the young starlet was set to wear a pair of lace-up, Louis Vuitton boots to Monday night’s Costume Institute Gala. Madge called dibs on the stylin’ shoes and Rihanna relinquished the goods, allowing the Material Girl to put the finishing touches on her stupidest outfit ever. Unphased, RiRi wore the Vuittons to lunch at Cipriani in Manhattan yesterday.

David Otunga proposed to Jennifer Hudson in such a romantic over-the-top way, that the Dreamgirl felt it was only right to do the same – so she proposed to him too!
Jennifer presented David with a 5 carat diamond ring last month personally designed by Hollywood designer Neil Lane.
“Jennifer wanted to give him something really special when she asked David to marry her,” Neil says. “It was very sentimental and romantic…they are really in love.”
Jennifer presented David with a handmade “architectural and geometric” platinum and diamond men’s ring, but the only catch was, she didn’t know his ring size. The couple came back to Neil Lane’s L.A. store to get it resized.
“They were so lovey-dovey and so sweet to each other,” Neil said. “He was very protective of her and they are so in love.”

We’ve been trolling through recent Star Trek red carpet photos, looking for juicy morsels in anticipation of the movie’s release today, but sadly the fashions on display fall short of stellar. Sure, Zoe Saldana sported a fairly spacey glittery number, and Heidi Klum flashed many-a-Vulcan salutes along with alien facial expressions. But seriously people, this was a rare opportunity to beam up to the next level of cosmic fashion. Instead, it was nothing short of an intergalactic snooze fest.
Who, you might ask, actually DOES possess the daring to kick it up a notch and wear their fantasies on their sleeves? Who is willing to boldly going where no civilians have gone before? Here’s a clue: one only had to look into the crowd gathered at the LA premiere to catch a few of them posing with Eric “Nero” Bana. In their honor, we present to you a collection of off-the-wall, extreme Trekkie fashions throughout the years. Hopefully you’ll be able to scope some of these fine specimens waiting in theater lines today. And don’t be hatin’ — these are some brave folk!
