The biggest complaint about the new Daft Punk album, Random Access Memories, seems to be that there aren’t enough songs on it that you can dance to. Well, squares, if Mad Men‘s Ken Cosgrove can find a way to get it done, that leaves little to no excuses for you. I mean, Francophile disco robots have not even been invented yet in the 1968 of the Mad Men universe, yet the accounts guy in charge of freaking CHEVY is able to bust a funky jitterbug right in front of Don Draper without so much as a glow stick hanging from his neck. On Friday, Fast & Furious 6 hits theaters marking the sixth edition of the series that has spanned twelve years. Once again, the entire cast is back, including Jordana Brewster who portrays Mia Toretto – Dom’s (Vin Diesel) loyal sister and Brian’s (Paul Walker) husband. VH1 Celebrity put Brewster in the driver’s seat and quizzed on her own driving experience and who she’d beat in a real race.

VH1 Celebrity: How many times did you take your driving test before you passed?

Jordana: Once, which was really good. There was a ticking clock. If I didn’t get my license I wasn’t going to be able to get insured for the movie. Within a week of taking my driving test, we were flown to Las Vegas for this special driving class. So I had to pass or I wouldn’t have been in the movie.

So you didn’t have a driver’s license growing up?

No I didn’t. I grew up in New York so I basically always took the subway everywhere or taxis or the bus.

Can you drive stick like Mia does in the film series?

No. I tried. I told (director) Justin Lin I was going to learn how to do it. And then I learned in a parking garage in Westwood. It was so boring and so complicated at the same time. You know I went up and down this parking garage. Then the instructor was like, ‘okay, so you’re ready to hit the streets now.’ And I was like, ‘no, I think I’ll pass.’ Luckily all we have to do is fake it. And Paul is kind of an expert on what to do and I just ask him, ‘does this look believable?’ And that’s how I do it.

What’s your favorite car from the film series?

I really liked the 95 Volkswagen Jetta GLX that Jesse drove in the first one but I also like the 70 Dodge Charger R/T.

What’s your go-to way of getting out of a ticket?

You know, I tried once with a cop. I was really close to my house when I got pulled over and I really had to pee. I told him that and he didn’t care. He gave me a ticket anyway but he stopped traffic so I could get to my house faster. But the cops are real tough in LA. There’s no room in getting out of a ticket there.

Everyone knows that the high school prom is the greatest most important day of your life! Or at least one of them. Definitely in the top 10 days…or 20. Right guys? Maybe not, but it would probably make the top 100, though. Perhaps? OK, but we can all agree that prom is definitely a day in your life. Unless you didn’t go. In which case, that’s cool too.*

Yes, it’s true: Prom is kind of lame. It’s just a fact. No matter how great the DJ, our big nights NEVER matched up to the epic spring flings we saw in the movies. Those on-screen nights filled with young romance, snazzy outfits, cool cars, great music, choreographed dancing and underdogs coming out on top set our hearts on fire and our imaginations into flight. Our Mens Warehouse tux and awkward slow-dancing to Edwin McCain just couldn’t compare. But in honor of prom season, we’ve decided to revisit some cinematic proms that were wayyyy more memorable than our own.

15. American Pie (1999)

Although the four friends make a pact to swipe their v-cards by prom night, the actual dance is probably the least memorable part of the entire movie! It’s kind of lame, the music sucks, and dudes struck out with their dates left and right -just like our prom! At least we didn’t publicly wet ourselves, though…

Fred Armisen’s Top 5 Music-Related SNL Sketches

This weekend’s season finale of Saturday Night Live was an especially emotional episode, one that saw beloved cast members Bill Hader and Fred Armisen bid the show a fond adieu. Hader’s big farewell sketch was, of course, the epic wedding between Stefon and Seth Meyers, while Fred Armisen was joined by a calvacade of indie rock legends—Carrie Brownstein! Steve Jones! Aimee Mann! Michael Penn! J. Mascis!—for an emotional performance as his punk rocker alter ego Ian Rubbish.

Both Hader and Armisen were incredibly versatile performers whose contributions to the show will be greatly missed but, in particular, Armisen’s ability to consistently inject an element of musical theatricality into the show will be near impossible to replace. Before he became a SNL cast member back in 2002, Armisen was the drummer for an indie rock act called Trenchmouth, and he always managed to keep his foot in the world of music even after leaving it for greener comedic pastures. Sure, the Lonely Island triumvirate may have launched more huge “hits” with their viral videos like “Lazy Sunday” and “Dick In A Box,” but the songs that Armisen wrote for the show over the course of his 11 seasons always managed to balance rhythm and melody with ample doses of humor (and, at times, a glint of intellectualism even shone through).

Last night Kanye West played Saturday Night Live. Everyone tuned in for those two new tracks, ”Black Skinhead” and “New Slaves,” but we also gleaned a few new things about Kanye, his upcoming album and his peculiar state of mind.

1) Kanye’s not in a great mood

It’s been looking more and more like Mr. West is bumming hard. When your boo is the most famous celeb in the world — and she’s very pregnant — struggle-face pap shots, running into street signs, going toro on paparazzi… it’s gonna happen. After hearing “Black Skinhead” and “New Slaves,” everyone’s officially on notice that Kanye ain’t playin’ with people right now. Do not test him right now unless you have a desire to be turned into an outrageous internet meme.

On the bright side, he’s still making music that’s clever. By Thanksgiving, your favorite rapper will be trying to emulate that Kanye sound.

2) But he has been hitting the gym

Kanye didn’t just show off his new music on SNL, he also showed off his man cleavage. During his performance of “New Slaves,” West rocked a low cut, schmall that showed off his breast meat. As Nas would say, “don’t say the car is topless / Say the titties is out” Clearly, he’s been working on more than music in Paris…

Saturday Night Live Gives Bill Hader (And Stefon) A Fond Farewell

What do you get when you combine a wedding, Anderson Cooper, DJ Baby Bok Choy, Amy Poehler and “Dean Cain‘s List of Homeboys You Don’t Mess With?” You get Saturday Night Live’s fond farewell to Bill Hader and the closure on Stefon’s long-standing flirtation with Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers.

Expectations were high for last night’s Saturday Night Live season finale. Ben Affleck was hosting for the fifth time and Kanye West was scheduled to debut his new singles. However, the night belonged to SNL favorite Bill Hader who had announced that last night’s show would be his last only this past week.

Over the years, Hader has performed in dozens of hilarious sketches (from “Vincent Price’s Halloween specials” to “Al Pacino Calls Wells Fargo”), but his most beloved character has got to be Stefon.

Stefon first appeared in a sketch with last night’s host, Ben Affleck, where Affleck was playing Stefon’s brother. The sketch wasn’t particularly memorable, but when Hader and SNL writer John Mulaney re-envisioned Stefon as a Weekend Update correspondent, they created one of the show’s most popular characters of all time.

For Stefon’s send off, we not only got one final Weekend Update piece from him, but we also got to see him and Seth Meyers united in a bizarre scene that recalled the ending of The Graduate and finally assembled all of Stefon’s party-going pals in one place. Oh, and Anderson Cooper was also there.

However, Bill Hader wasn’t the only one saying goodbye to Saturday Night Live last night. It was also Jason Sudeikis‘s and Fred Armisen‘s last show. The three–along with a few special friends–ended the night with a swan song performance of “It’s A Lovely Day.”

Doctor Who??? Will We Find Out The Doctor’s Name Tonight?

Doctor Who fans are supposed to be in for a big treat–and a big reveal tonight. Not only is tonight’s episode the season finale, but after 50 years of teases, we are supposed to finally find out what the Doctor’s name really is.

So what could it be? We have a few ideas of our own…

‘Why’

what if it’s actually ‘Who’

maybe it’s ‘Jesus’

perhaps it’s ‘Matt Smith‘

Okay, it’s probably not going to be any of those, and yes, we know that some people have already leaked a recording of his name on the internet, but we don’t want to listen because…

More importantly, WHAT IS CLARA’S DEAL? Is she a trap from the Great Intelligence or is she the Red Riding Hood to Rose’s Bad Wolf or is she a manifestation of time or is she Rose and 10.5′s daughter or is she just a hot British girl in a mini-skirt or is she….

All the answers–well, some of the answers–will be revealed tonight.
