While she’s hardly received any screen time, one of the contestants lurking in the background of American Idol during Hollywood week is Jenn Korbee (formerly Jennifer Peterson-Hind), a familiar face to anyone who watches Discovery Kids or The Learning Channel. Korbee was until recently a cast member on their Emmy-nominated children’s show Hi-5, performing with the group at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, daytime talk shows and concert tours since 2003. Korbee put out a country album in 2007, and was preparing a pop CD when she applied for Idol. But don’t assume her experience makes her a lock for the show—her name is conspicuously absent from the leaked Top 36 that’s been floating around the web.
With both Korbee and her husband Tom in the competition (and not on that list), one would expect the pair to finally get a taste of screen time before they’re bounced.
