The talented stars rounding out this year’s contenders for the Academy’s acting categories have undoubtedly blown us away with their powerful roles. With such a strong crop of celebs vying for Oscar statues, it’s almost hard to believe that any of them have any film credits that don’t quite live up to what they’ve recently delivered to audiences.
But alas, plenty of 2014′s acting nominees have cringeworthy roles under their belts. So what are some of the worst flicks from this year’s hopefuls?
During awards season, celebs feel like princesses. Between December and March, designers send stars endless dress options, jewelers practically throw baubles their way, and A-list stylists clamor to be the ones to pull it all together for them. It can be overwhelming, dizzying — and ultimately, for some, the pressure results in a totally ass-backwards Oscar night look (in 1999, Celine Dion took this literally, showing up in a backwards tux). And then there’s the phenomenon we like to call Big Night Fail, where even the most stylish actresses look dazzling for every other awards show, but trip up for the Oscars (we’re looking at you, Kate Hudson in 2001).
Why was George Lopez lying on the ground? Are Oscar voters leaning towards Jennifer Lawrence or Lupita Nyong’o? Can Liam Neeson take out The Lego Movie?
Is Mary-Kate Olsen about to take a big step? Is Honey Boo-Boo getting a younger sibling? And is Liam Neeson‘s new flick worth a trip to the theater?
By now you’ve probably heard the news that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are engaged to be married. The two gorgeous actors have been dating for less than two years, but they’ve known each other since 1998. That’s when they were paired up as Jackie and Kelso on That ’70s Show. We might have fallen in love with Kutcher and Kunis as a couple over 15 years ago, but they didn’t realize they were total soulmates until long after they were co-stars. Luckily for them, it looks like Hollywood hook ups that happen years after two actors work together seem to actually last!
With only a few days left before this year’s Academy Awards, we’re hoping that what we saw on red carpets this week actually isn’t a harbinger of things to come. There were definitely some questionable looks in the celebrity world as of late, and we’d like to think that folks are either testing the waters or just saving their best looks for Oscar night. Whatever the case may be, let’s make sure we start bringing our A-game, shall we?

There’s no doubt Big Morning Buzz Live host Nick Lachey will put his bevy of talents on display come Monday morning.
