Kim and Kris, Russell and Katy, Demi and Ashton…We all know it’s been pretty rough out there for celebrity couples. But through it all, there’s one duo who has never faltered. We’re of course talking about BBFs George Clooney and Brad Pitt. These first teamed up on the big screen in 2001’s Ocean’s 11, and they’ve been tight ever since. “Brad is one of the great guys,” George recently told the Hollywood Reporter. Sadly, it seems like their bromance is mostly a long distance affair. “We’re good friends, but it’s different from what people think—meaning we don’t spend a lot of time together. He has been to my home in Como; we motorcycle together. But until recently, I hadn’t seen Brad in a year.” Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Or something like that!
But seriously, these dudes really seem to care about each other, and the enjoyment they get from each other’s company is clear in every picture. They’ve shared screen time, and now for the first time their sharing Oscar nominations! Clooney got the nod for his role as the “back-up parent” in The Descendants, and Brad for his portrayal of Oakland A’s manager and stats wiz Billy Beane in Moneyball. So in honor of their duel moment of glory, let’s take a look back at their most adorably bromantic photos. Enjoy!

When Meryl Streep signs onto a role, she signs on. From transforming into a frigid nun for Doubt, to a free-spirited former disco dancer in Mamma Mia!, to the chicest b*tch to ever hit the silver screen in The Devil Wears Prada, Streep doesn’t merely rock a wig and prosthetics, but totally embodies her character. Most recently, she wowed crowds (and may very likely nab an Oscar) with her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. The voice! The pearls! The teef!
To honor one of Hollywood’s best and to prep for the Academy Awards on Feb. 26th, let’s take a minute to admire a dozen of Meryl’s movie makeovers.
Is there anything more perfect than Oscar nominee Brad Pitt? He’s got the perfect wife, perfect career, perfect kids, perfect smile, perfect muscular physique and … let’s stop there, because while we could go on all day, we’re pretty sure none of you need convincing. Even his fashion missteps are perfect, in their own special way! It’s true. We can’t entirely fault Brad for those long bleached blonde locks (it was the ’90s) or even the Kate Gosselin-styled ‘do (also ’90s!). And no one else could rock a scraggly, dreaded beard more grandly than Pitt. Also, most of his, shall we say, less-than-ideal stylings were for a role, or for saving New Orleans, or something. That’s why we are awarding Brad Pitt with TheFABlife’s prestigious Perfect Hair Award (we’ll be on standby if Brad wants to give us an acceptance speech.).
Oh, to be a follicle on that perfectly shaped scalp, or a faint bit of stubble along his perfectly chiseled jawline, but we digress. Check out Brad’s Hair-volution through the years and tell us which look is your fave!
It’s overcast in Los Angeles today, but that didn’t stop this year’s batch of Oscar nominees from smiling at the annual Academy Award luncheon, honoring them and their competition at the iconic Beverly Hilton. Celebs like George Clooney, Viola Davis, Melissa McCarthy, Brad Pitt and Michelle Williams popped into the press room in between cocktails and kept reporters laughing with their banter and silly answers. I was there, hiding in the corner with my laptop, and it seriously sounded like the inside of the Laugh Factory. Who wouldn’t be happy hobnobbing with their A-List peers over some seriously good food?
Some of the best behind the scenes moments…
George Clooney was the first of the talent to hit the press room. “I got here early for the booze,” he joked. The actor, nominated twice this year, might just be the most beloved man in Hollywood. He knew all the reporters and even ribbed one guy about his vest. “Did your wife make that?” teased George. I’ve never seen a man charm a room of people so effortlessly as the Cloonster. Even more delightful – his gorgeous, silver hair. Sorry Anderson Cooper, but a new number one Silver Fox has arrived.
Do your movies keep filling up the direct-to-DVD dollar bin? Do they often complete the phrase “the worst film since…”? Do they make less money than we did that time we went to a Coinstar? Well, don’t let that get you down, because you could still be in the running for Oscar glory! Every year, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation names the most terrible films and performances of the year. Sure, it’s gotta hurt to be named the absolute worst of Hollywood, but just know that you’re in surprisingly good company. Check out the gallery below to see some Oscar winners who have also been up for a Razzie!
