The next generation of fashionistas is already making its presence known. And each has a completely different style profile from the other. Consider the photograph above, with shots of our three fashion-forward young ladies, taken at the Kids’ Choice Awards. One the left we have the punk rocker, Willow Smith, who wore the hell out of her trilby and pink hair. May we also mention that she’s just 11 years old? What’s the bet that her alternative style is going to get better and better with age? We’re looking forward to seeing this cool chick’s evolution.
In the middle, we have the very pretty 13-year-old Madison Pettis and she’s already the babe of the bunch! We love how fresh-faced she looks with those masses of curly hair, youthful coral mini, and let’s not forget that thoughtful (teenager) touch of turquoise nail polish. She’s definitely going to keep on wowing us on red carpets as she gets older. Finally, on the right, we already have the certified sartorial star, Kiernan Shipka. How appropriate is it that this 12-year-old stars on Mad Men, because her personal style skews towards elegant and slight retro. She’s the classic young lady of her generation and one only has to regard her chic, messy updo and pleated dress to see that.
So there you have it. Three young stars. Three totally different styles. Which young ladies look do you see yourself identifying with the most?

Taylor Swift And Michelle Obama Grab The Spotlight At The Kids’ Choice Awards
We get that the Kids’ Choice Awards is a casual event, but this year the red carpet was a bit disappointing. Luckily, a couple of ladies cut the mustard and salvaged the situation. Leading the pack was our favorite Kristen Stewart who picked her favorite — a mini dress. What was unusual was the color. She picked a cobalt blue Stella McCartney with lace overlay with matching pumps. Emma Stone looked adorable and quite sedate in a pinkish-beige Antonio Berardi pleated frock. We were also quite floored by Sarah Hyland‘s flowing red maxi by Myne. That long center-parted haired hair was the perfect choice to go with it.
Selena Gomez‘s Dolce & Gabanna may be a controversial decision here, considering it’s pretty much a bustier and tiny, printed skirt. But fashion is all about selling it, right? And she’s looking so happy and confident in the outfit, that it’s pretty much sold. Just like the always age-appropiate Amandla Stenberg who sparkled in a Tony Ward Couture dress and gold brouges, which we are going to go out and buy ASAP. Wearing the same designer was Kelly Osbourne who looked flirty and adorable in a one-shouldered, flounced black dress and hot pink pumps. It even made her pale lavender hair look good! Karina Smirnoff in a ladylike white lace Ema Savahi and Jacqueline Emerson is an electric blue Alice + Olivia shift and a crazy good pair of neon lace-up heels round up the list. As always, mosey over to the gallery to have a look!

Taylor Swift won the Big Help Award for her charitable work at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday night. Big award for a big star, but, big isn’t enough to describe the moment itself. Because she had Michelle Obama giving her the award onstage. The FLOTUS, sparkling in a form-fitting silver and black Wes Gordon jacket, presented the award with a speech, saying, “Taylor Swift may be in the news for the award-winning songs and multi-platinum records, but every step of the way she has always made it a point to give back. She’s supported children’s charities, she’s worked to combat bullying, and given over tens of thousands of books to schools and libraries all around the country.”
And will wonders ever cease? There was no surprise-face or onstage histrionics from Taylor. She looked lovely and sedate in a silver Maria Lucia Hohan dress and received the award saying, “I’ve always wanted to meet you! This is amazing. I’m so honored to get… to be receiving this award from the First Lady of the United States — I’m freaking out.” Well, she didn’t look freaked out, so it was all good.
