Cannes Fashion Update: Rita Ora, Berenice Marlohe, Cassie Show The Long And The Short Of It

The ladies have killed the fashion at the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival. Since last week, we’ve seen plunging necklines, cocktail dresses, minis and back-baring gowns. We’ve even seen a sexy pantsuit or two. The styles are split down the middle between short dresses and full-length gowns, with a handful of ladies opting for trains that recall the looks of silver-screen sirens. Celebs like Cassie, Tessa Ia, and Isabelle Huppert chose a more leggy look, with Cassie taking the sexy route while Tessa looked more pretty and prim. On the other hand, Rita Ora chose a ’50s Hollywood all-white gown and Kelly Brook chose to shine in a body-hugging full-length dress. New Bond girl Berenice Marlohe caught our eye with her shiny gold number, too. Check out which celebs kept it short and which of the ladies chose length at Cannes.

Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian And More Play It Casual At Cannes

While many stars have put their most glam foot forward at the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival, some have decided to keep it casual for their photocalls with simple threads. Brad Pitt suited up with a simple olive green jacket and pant and a plain white v-neck T. (Pitt and others later put on their black-tie best for the premiere of Killing Them Softly, but we’re glad he got to relax a little first. Also, no bow tie in the world could make his long hair and beard look dressed up.) Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton arrived in stylish, yet comfy ensembles — Kim in an all-black pant jumper and Paris in a colorful shirt and black leggings. Of course, every lady that took the casual route in the past few days was still seen with 5-inch stilettos. Since many stars showed up and showed out at Cannes opening day and continued to wow us throughout the weekend, it’s nice to see a few celebs in breezy getups befitting the Mediterranean setting of the film fest.

Jessica Chastain And Salma Hayek Go Glam, Shia LaBeouf And Tom Hardy Go Grunge This Weekend At Cannes

As weekend hit the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival, it seems like the gals and the guys took very different approached to the dress code. Starlets like Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Cheryl Cole stepped out in gorgeous floor-sweeping gowns, and A-list actresses like Salma Hayek and Diane Kruger hit the red carpet in bosom-bearing low cut couture that left photographers screaming for more. The guys, on the other hand, seemed to take significantly less care on their appearance. Shia LaBeouf looked scruffy with a half-beard and his long unruly mane slicked back, while Gerard Butler also shared the five-o’clock-five-days-later shadow. But the king of the WTF fashion this weekend was Tom Hardy, who took grizzly to new heights with greasy-looking hair, unabomber beard, and a thousand-yard-stare that makes us wonder if he swam the Atlantic to attend the festival. Check out more glitz, glam and grunge in the gallery below!
