12 Reasons Why Taylor Swift Could Be So Darn Surprised

Taylor Swift has won a record busting number of awards over the course of her music career, yet her mind continues to be blown every time they announce her name. Last November we brought you a video collection of Taylor’s super surprised faces, and now a year later she’s still just as shocked! In fact, we don’t think we’ve ever seen someone so aggressively surprised as T-Swift last night at the American Music Awards. It’s as if she’s witnessing a super natural event! Is there something we’re missing here? We’ve done a lot of thinking and come up with 12 reasons why Taylor could possibly look so dumbfounded. Check them out in the gallery below!

AMAs Most Questionable Fashions: We Can’t Make Up Our Minds!

Of all the fashions we spotted on the red carpet and onstage at last night’s AMAs, there were some that were clearly awesome and others that hurt our delicate eyes. But then there was the middle ground. The outfits that confuse our sense of right and wrong. Daring, but maybe too much. Awful, but maybe in an interesting way. Gorgeous if only they fit better.

Maybe you can help us out: Were Justin Bieber‘s tiger-striped pants hideous or hilarious? Should we admire J.Lo‘s nude bodysuit on the grounds that it showed off her assets? If Jennifer Hudson looked so uncomfortable in her super-short gold dress, does that detract from its hotness? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter @theFABlife.

The “Super Bass” Girls Belt It On The AMA Red Carpet

So many singers out there rely on pitch correction, insane costumes and complicated studio tricks to distract from their vocal imperfections. But that’s definitely not the case with 8-year Sofia Grace and her cousin Rosie, better known to the world as YouTube’s “Super Bass” girls. The pint sized divas delivered a pitch perfect rendition of their favorite Nicki Minaj song  live on the red carpet for VH1′s very own Kate Spencer last night at the AMAs. There were no computers, producers or backup singers in sight; just guts and a  hefty helping of soul! Even though they admit to being really sick of singing that dang song already, the girls still give it their all. What pros! Are we witnessing the birth of the next Adele, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry? Check out the clip and let us know! But one thing’s for sure: These girls are the real deal.

AMAs Worst Fashion: Christina Aguilera’s Bandage Dress And Other Catastrophes

While some of the stars brought their A fashion game to the AMAs last night, we’re convinced that a few others let their stylists leave for Thanksgiving break early. Surely a professional would prevent Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera from choosing the least flattering gowns for their body type this side of our high school prom. Jennifer Lopez managed to land in our best- and worst-dressed lists (and an upcoming questionable list), thanks to her numerous costume changes and unfortunate decision to continue plugging Fiat in the middle of her performance. Now, we’re pretty sure red-carpet staple Phoebe Price and LMFAO‘s Redfoo were trying to land on this lists, but David Hasselhoff hurt our eyes in those boxers. Keep your pants on, Hoff. Please.

AMAs Best Fashions: From Retro Jenny McCarthy To Futuristic Justin Bieber

Because of their convenient timing, the American Music Awards are the perfect opportunity for the country’s biggest music stars to plug their fall releases as awesome gifts for the holidays. And last night, some of those stars were wrapped up as perfect gifts for our eyes. The style theme of the evening swung back and forth from playfully retro — Katy Perry, Karmin‘s Amy Heidemann and Jenny McCarthy — to starship-ready futuristic — Nicki Minaj, Heidi Klum, Justin Bieber (though his leather number was kind of future-by-way-of-Michael-Jackson’s-Captain-Eo).

While we were dazzled by the choices of Nicki (she’s here twice!), Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Katherine Heigl, we also suffered a bit of whiplash from some looks: Jennifer Lopez‘s many costume changes landed her on our best, worst and questionable lists. Justin Bieber and Katy Perry also straddle the best and questionable lists. Stay tuned for more photos and opinions from last night’s show.
