American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has confessed what we all knew – and were cool with – already. “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” he tells this week’s Rolling Stone magazine. He’s right!
The singer – who is dating hunky interior designer Drake LaBry – continues: “I’m proud of my sexuality,” he confides. “I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”
Adam adds that Idol producers allowed him to handle coming out on his own terms. “I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing,” he says. “I’m an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. it shouldn’t matter. Except it does. It’s really confusing.”
Yet the heartthrob insists that he wants to be known for his passion, not who he sleeps with at night. “I’m trying to be a singer,” he says, “not a civil rights leader.” [Photo: RollingStone]
Susan Boyle has checked out of a London mental health facility four days after being admitted.
The singing sensation is reportedly doing much better.
“As far as I can tell she is absolutely fine,” her brother Gerry Boyle says. “I believe she is with the musical people at a flat in central London. The conversation has now moved on from the Priory to talk about her musical career. She is feeling much better.”
Good thing she is back and healthy! Judge Simon Cowell promised to get her a record deal, and Idol judge Paula Abdul is making sure he keeps his word. “If he doesn’t live up to his promise and make sure she gets a record deal and has a great chance…I’ll kill him!” [Source: People; Photo: Getty Images]

Everyone’s favorite obviously-gay singer, Adam Lambert, hit up the Guys and Dolls night club last night in West Hollywood with a sextastic male friend. The American Idol star kept a tight grip on his dreamy companion as they exited the hot spot into a sea of paparazzi.
Adam’s mom Leila was recently asked about her son’s sexuality, but she stayed mum. “We signed a contract with Idol and unless it has been set up by them, I’m not allowed to answer,” she said. There’s really no need for her to break her silence, as this picture really says it all. Now can we please move on? [Photo: Splash News Online]
Everyone’s favorite American Idol runner-up may come out on the cover of next week’s Rolling Stone. When asked about his sexuality in the past, Adam has only said, “keep speculating.” A source reveals that the gifted and gorgeous crooner “didn’t want it to be an issue during the contest, but he’s fine with his sexuality.” Could this mean we can expect an official statement within the pages of the iconic music rag?
The insider’s claim is backed up by Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, who tells the ladies of The View today, “I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet]. I think he was always openly out.”
During the competition, Lambert told People magazine, “You should own who you are and what you’re about, and never make apologies for it.” Amen, Lambert. We love the guy no matter who he bones, and we suspect his fans do too.

TEN GREATEST AMERICAN IDOL CONTESTANTS OF ALL TIME
Hours before Britney Spears was supposed to perform at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, a creepy ex-Idol hopeful was arrested after peeking into the windows at Britney’s nearby Calabasas home.
Authorities arrested Miranda Tozier-Robbins, 26, who was wearing camouflage and toting a camera at the time of her arrest. She was cited for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Miranda reportedly auditioned for the fifth season of American Idol by singing the Britney tune, “Everytime.”

The picture above, while ridiculous, is a visual expression of our excitement that American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino will be starring in her own VH1 reality show. Apparently the Lord was listening to the prayers of millions! Since the beginning of her fame, the singer has been open about her struggles, surviving a rape in high school, raising her daughter as a teenager and facing her illiteracy. We can’t wait to watch her day-today life unfold on our TVs. Here’s the official word from VH1:
VH1 will follow Fantasia along her life’s journey — a journey full of both ups and downs — and will share how she deals with life and the seismic aftershocks of fame. The show will reveal Fantasia’s “reality” — her life as a blossoming recording artist and a young single mother who has achieved great success, but not without her share of hardship along the way. Nevertheless, Fantasia continues to persevere with the courage to live life with an openness and sincerity that her fans have come to love her for. The series is slated for an early 2010 premiere. Jennifer Hudson popped into Ellen today to talk about her upcoming tour and the American Idol revealed that had she not become the Grammy and Oscar winning sensation she is today, she would have pursued her surprising plan B.
“My second option was to be a tattoo artist because I like to draw,” Jennifer said. Ellen then joked that not a lot of tattoo artists look like her.
Although the Dreamgirl endured a horrible tragedy earlier this year, some things in her life are still going strong, like her engagement to David Otunga.
“We like to ride bikes,” Jennifer said about what she and her beau like to do for fun. Be careful what you wish for! Ellen rolled out a fabulous tandem bike for her and David to share. [Photo: Getty Images]
“Kelly Clarkson pregnant” has been high up on Google Trends all morning, which perplexed us as she very recently revealed that she doesn’t want kids. “Oh, my God, I have no desire,” the singer told USA Today. “I would not be a good mother.”
So what gives? According to speculation on The Insider, it’s just “weight gain.” You’d think the fine citizens of America, in which 63 percent of the country is overweight, would be able to distinguish a couple pounds of water weight from a growing baby belly (seriously, WTF is wrong with you, America?) . After all, it’s the two things we’re most obsessed with in the U.S. But what’s most troubling to us is the assumption that Kelly’s gained something other than commercial success. That’s all we’re looking for these days – bellys to criticize or celebrate – even when there’s no reason to do so. [Photo: GettyImages]
Casey Carlson may have dashed her American Idol dreams tonight, but we have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of the true bikini girl. Beyond her vocal butchering of Sting’s “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” Carlson slathered her performance with awful facial ticks, winks, and leg kicks. Given her history of modeling, we had expected a bit more of a stage presence. The judges seemed to have little to say beyond, “Well, you’re hot.” See more pics of the (most likely) fallen contestant below, representing the University of Minnesota as a calendar girl for Campus Girls USA.
