Susan Sarandon‘s daughter Eva Amurri is celebrating her bachelorette party at Lavo in Vegas on Friday. It’s clearly not the era of blushing brides anymore considering the invite (see above) where Eva looks all come-hither in sheer, white and black-detailed lingerie. She’s marrying ex soccer player Kyle Martino, who met his fiancee at her — and this is fate’s hand, clearly — at a lingerie shoot for Maxim magazine. What we’re kinda having a problem with is this — why would anyone want to have such a public bachelorette party with a bunch of random, sweaty people? It seems like such a Kardashian-Paris Hilton thing to do! And that invite is very ‘pimp my wedding’, isn’t it? Looks like every little bit of a celebrity wedding can be encashed now. Do you think it’s in poor taste?

Last weekend, Nicole Richie had her bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Two things are significant about that: 1) That means Richie is obviously closer to tying the knot with Joel Madden and 2) Richie invited her pals, Christina Aguilera (remember how they’re besties?) and Samantha Ronson which reportedly cause some Lohan drama. What other kind of drama is there these days?
First things first though, a source tells E! Online that Richie and Madden are planning a December wedding, so if that’s true, it means Richie still has some time to prepare. Reportedly, she hasn’t even picked out her wedding dress yet. (But we’re dying to see what she wears, we’re kinda obsessed with her look lately.) She just chose to have her bachelorette party around her 29th birthday to combine the celebrations.
And as for the friend dramz, Lindsay Lohan was apparently upset that Ronson was out of the country (and that she wasn’t invited to the festivities) and a source who was at the party said “It was really annoying Nicole that Lindsay kept trying to track down Sam during her bachelorette party. Both Nicole and Christina Aguilera told Sam to stay away from Lindsay. They told her forget about Lindsay and her drama and just have a nice weekend.” And these ladies know from drama!
Let’s not let that overshadow the fact that Harlow and Sparrow‘s parents are getting married soon, though. Finally, the cutest family ever makes it legal!

Katy Perry started off her weekend like a total celebrity – mobbed by paparazzi at LAX, her fiancé Russell Brand was arrested after an altercation where one paparazzo tried to take an inappropriate photo of Katy. (Perry tweeted about the incident, writing: “If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman #don‘tf*ckwiththeBrands.”) Then, twenty four hours later, Katy was in Vegas engaging in what has become and American rite of passage, her own bachelorette party, complete with binge drinking and Cirque du Soleil.
Sure, not everyone who has their bachelorette party in Vegas is accompanied by their best friend and party giver, Rihanna, but it all sounds refreshingly normal and fun to us. On Saturday afternoon, Katy, RiRi and 25 of their closest friends hung out at the Hard Rock Hotel pool, drank, Tweeted about drinking, and then took the official transportation of obnoxious partiers everywhere, the stretch Hummer limo, to the Cirque du Soleil show where they met the show’s cast, then headed to dinner and a strip club. Personally, we can’t get over the part where they met the cast at Cirque – just look at them all. We’re used to Katy and Rihanna being the flashiest people in the room, but they can’t even compare with these people!
For more pics of Katy’s hen party (as they say across the pond), check out our gallery below, it’s quite a cast of characters. And as for Russell Brand, he was charged with misdemeanor battery by the LAPD and was later released. All in all, a busy weekend for the pair.
