The 20 Most Brutal Celebrity Beefs Of 2012

The 20 Most Brutal Celebrity Beefs Of 2012

The holidays are a time to celebrate goodwill for all human kind. And that’s cool and all, but that stuff gets sort of old after a while. So now let’s take a minute and take a look at all famous folks who didn’t get the peace and harmony memo! We’ve assembled our list of the top 20 most brutal celebrity beat-downs of 2012. Join us in a chant of “Fight fight fight!” and check it out!

20. Rita Ora vs. Rob Kardashian: Rita Whora’s Revenge

Rob Kardashian didn’t handle his heartbreak all that great following his split with Rita Ora. Instead of posting passive aggressive Facebook statuses like the rest of us, he went on an all-out Twitter assault against his former flame, claiming that she cheated on him with 20 dudes, and coining the obvious pun, “Rita Whora,” which became a trending topic soon after. #Revenge? #SmallVictories

Stitches required: Just 1 for Rob’s broken heart.

From Homeland To The Petraeus Affair: 5 Reasons 2012 Was The CIA’s Best Year Ever

Claire Danes in Homeland

Some call 2012 the year the world will end (we’re looking at all of you Mayans out there). Others will remember it as the year they spent in a fog of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe.” But who does 2012 really belong to? The CIA. Yes, you heard me. The agency that President Truman created has been taking 2012 by storm. We break down why your favorite intelligence agency dominated the news and pop culture.

1.Homeland – Never mind any real-life accomplishments the agency made this year. By sweeping the Emmy Awards with six wins and much critical acclaim, Homeland certainly helped make the CIA relevant again. As we left the Bush era’s torture wielding Jack Bauer and entered an Obama White House, we needed a new kick-ass hero to dominate our sets. Our protagonist came in the form of the ever complex Carrie Mathinson (Claire Danes) whose keen intelligence and questionable judgment calls make her one of the most compelling characters on television right now. And despite the occasional face-off with most wanted terrorist Abu Nazir, working with top notch intelligence officials seems even enjoyable for Carrie. I mean, where else can you have Mandy Patinkin as your mentor while simultaneously having an affair with a turned P.O.W.-turned U.S. Congressman? Only at the CIA.

2. Argo – In addition to the small screen, the CIA dominated the silver screen this year too. Directed by and starring Ben Affleck, the film is based on the declassified documents of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis that kept the country on the edge during the Carter administration. The movie’s receiving much Oscar buzz for its script and hilarious supporting performances by the epic Alan Arkin and John Goodman. (We’re still telling everyone, “Argo f— yourself.”) But what made this movie so great was the extraordinary true story that the CIA saved six U.S. hostages by pretending to be a Canadian film crew scouting movie sets in Tehran. This is the kind of story you wished happened in the CIA, but never expected would actually exist. Argo fulfilled our dreams of what it would be like to be real spies. Let the role-playing begin.

From Emme Anthony To Willow Smith: We Look Back On The 30 Best Dressed Celeb Kids Of 2012

We know that all celeb kids are cute. Obviously. We have eyes with which to see. It’s just that some celeb kids have a preternaturally developed sense of style, while the rest of us are wearing old soccer t-shirts with grape juice stains. As adults. So while we are more than happy to squee over the most shabbily dressed bundle of joy, we’d like to give props to the Best of 2012 celeb kids and babies, from Moroccan Scott Cannon to Suri Cruise, who will be dictating what America will be wearing in five to ten years. Or right now. We already feel compelled to wear short pants, bow ties and pull-ups. Don’t tell us we can’t because we already stopped listening!

Oh My, That’s A Lot Of Thigh! 2012′s Top 15 Ranking Of The Leggiest Celebrity Thigh-Baring Gowns

2012 Top 15 Most Daring Thigh Baring Celebrity Gowns

Sexy, often scandalous, and forever sensational — throw in a thigh-high slit into your gown and you’re going to get completely eyeballed. The more daring the cut, the more looks it’s going to get, so you know that celebrities love this major red carpet trend. 2012 has been the year for thigh-baring gown slits as our stars went all out to show as much leg as possible. Most of your most beloved ladies and ours opted for the style, so we decided to pick the top 15 most incredible leggy gown moments and rank them. We’ll start with number 15 and work our way up to numero uno. Of course, all the photographs, numbered accordingly, are in the gallery below, so have a look and a read and tell us whether we got it right in the comments section.

15. Sophia Bush: The actress went all out and showed some slinky leg while wearing an orange David Meister Signature dress. She accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, Christian Louboutin shoes, and a Daniel Swarovski clutch. If there’s any place to take the fashion plunge  — or cut — it was definitely at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards after party at the Boom Boom Room in June in New York City.

14. Kristen Stewart: Kristen rocked it and rocked some leg in a gorgeous golden Elie Saab dress with Christian Louboutin shoes at the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Germany Premiere at CineStar in November, 2012 in Berlin.

13. Jada Pinkett Smith: Jada Pinkett Smith showed just how toned her legs are in a bright orange Atelier Versace gown and Jimmy Choos at the Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted premiere during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival in May.

12.  Carrie Underwood: Did we expect to see Ms. Carrie Underwood’s very shapely leg in her Abed Mahfouz couture chiffon gown at the 47th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards in Vegas in April, 2012? Not at all, which is what made it even more awesome.

11. Beyonce: Beyonce isn’t just all about being bootylicious. She’s pretty darn leggy as well, as was proved by her gorgeous Stephane Rolland gown at the 2012 BET Awards held in July in L.A. this year!

10. Miranda Kerr: This supermodel has legs for miles, which is what brough her to the number 10 spot on our list. And her bronzed Collette Dinnigan gown showed them off to perfection at the 2012 AACTA Awards in Sydney in July.

9.  Kat Graham: Kat Graham’s gams were a force to be reckoned with in her Maria Lucia Hohan gown at the MTV Movie Awards in L.A. Angeles, in June, 2012.

8. Kim Kardashian: Kim Kardashian klassed it up at the 2012 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS benefit during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival in May this year. But not too much, because her mustard Elie Saab gown had a daring double slit that showed off those legs!

7. Nicole Scherzinger: Why hello, Nicole’s leg. Please to meet you. The singer showed off her shapely stems in a Cengiz Abazoğlu dress with Giuseppe Zanotti heels at the U.K. premiere of Men in Black 3 at Odeon Leicester Square in May, 2012 in London.

6. Rihanna: Ri-Ri was all about the leg in her minimal Giorgio Armani custom gown at the Stella McCartney Special Presentation in London in February this year.

5. Nina Dobrev: Nina Dobrev sparkled and showed off major leg through a major slit in her electric Elie Saab gown and Jimmy Choos at the 2012 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS benefit during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival in May this year. Read more…

Professional hotties Kate Upton and Brooklyn Decker look straight out of the pages of Sports Illustrated, while Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima are simply heavenly.

So tear off the wrapping paper and dive in to our terrific 2012 retrospective of everyone’s favorite two-piece. Happy Holidays!

Renesmee, Sookie, Magnus And More: 25 Supernatural Characters Who Dazzled Us In 2012

Anna Paquin, Joseph Morgan, Mackenzie Foy and Godfrey Gao

Around this time last year, we made this list a roundup of our favorite vampires of 2011 — though we named Bella Cullen as our fave, it was Damon Salvatore who ruled your hearts. This year, we took a look around at our favorite movies, TV shows and books and discovered that, while the bloodsuckers of True Blood, Twilight and The Vampire Diaries were still among our faves, they had some competition from other supes, too. There were the characters wielding magic for good or evil — Snow White and the Huntsman’s Queen Ravenna, Beautiful Creatures‘ Lena, The Mortal Instruments‘ Magnus, TVD’s Bonnie. We had a nice crop of werewolves — Teen Wolf’s Scott and Derek, Nightshade’s Calla, True Blood’s Alcide. And then, of course, there were gods, genetic mutations, time travelers and Shadowhunters. Whether they were on the page, the screen or both, these beautiful, dangerous, ever-seductive heroes and villains made us feel a little bit inadequate for being mere humans. But there’s one power we have that they don’t: the ability to vote on which of these 25 characters was our favorite of the year. Take a look at the gallery and then vote!
