Divorcing couple Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley collaborating on an album together was probably not the brightest of ideas. However, they thought they were different. Although they announced their split in September of last year, the former couple are still working on Avril’s album together – but it’s not going so well! Avril was supposed to release her next album, Pink Crust, in November of last year. That date was moved to “early 2010″ which is now looking more like “mid-2010.” Let’s just take a moment to note that the name of the album is Pink Crust – I mean, clearly, this was doomed from the start.
Deryck is producing the new album, an apparent ode to some rare STD, and a music producer close to the project reveals that there is all kinds of drama going on trying to get this done. “The first eight songs, Avril and Deryck worked with a lot of love and it came easy. But there’s three or four more to do and they just ain’t feeling it. It’ll be a terrific album if they can put this aside for a month or so and concentrate on what matters – the music,” the source said.
It’s hard to whistle while you work when your rocker ex-husband is demanding tons of dinero from all the hard work you have put into your music and fashion lines! Under California law, the money needs to be divided fairly between Avril and Deryck. Not the best circumstances for a healthy working environment. [Photo: Getty Images]
Following Usher‘s divorce, it appears the ladies are fighting over the R & B singer to see who can snag him while he’s single. After a performance at Haze on the Las Vegas strip, Usher decided to take a little rest on a banquette. As soon as he sat down, he was reportedly swarmed by females. “His table was literally overflowing with women,” a source says. Reportedly Usher had to even call in reinforcements to protect him from the wallet-f*&king honies! “They had to bring over additional security guards to manage the crowds,” the source continues.
The “Love in This Club” singer became single again last year after splitting with wife Tameka Foster after less than two years of marriage. He penned a song called “Papers” about the messy divorce from the mother of his two children, portraying himself as a victim in a one-sided relationship. It looks like Usher has plenty of ladies looking to help him get over his heartbreak! [Source: NY Post; Photo: Getty Images]
Despite only dating three months, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift have split. “It wasn’t really developing into anything, and wasn’t going to, so they decided they were better as friends,” a source says. “There was no chemistry.” Aww too bad, they were so cute!
According to the source, it was Twilight star who worked harder at things than the country singer.”He liked her more than she liked him. He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn’t travel much to see him.” Poor Taylor!(Lautner). Luckily for him though, Taylor Swift likely won’t be bashing him in her next song. “They plan to stay friends,” the source says. [Photo: Us Weekly; Photo: Getty Images]
It looks like LeAnn Rimes is waving goodbye to her seven year marriage! The singer’s split from husband Dean Sheremet is now official, after he filed for a divorce last week. Their marital status will terminate on June 19, 2010; other details of the split remain under wraps.
“The settlement shall not be filed in this proceeding due to the parties mutual desire to maintain theie respective rights to privacy,” their divorce document states. It is noted, however, that Dean did request spousal support. Smart guy! Now LeAnn is free to run around with boyfriend Eddie Cibrian – oh wait – she’s been doing that already! They were on for two years, then rumored to be off just a few weeks ago, but then their reps were like, oh no, they are so on. Jake was even rumored to be proposing. But now the Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal breakup rumor is back, and a source confirms to Gossip Cop that the two “are no longer together” and the breakup was “amicable and mutual”. “Gyllenspoon” never did roll off the tongue that easily, so maybe it’s for the best.
The couple met on the set of Rendition in 2007, a film which will join Mr. And Mrs. Smith as being memorable only because of the celebrity couple it created. Now that Reese and Jake are broken up, you can feel free to forget it entirely.

The May-December romance between Rolling Stone Ron Wood and Ekaterina Ivanova appears to be over following his arrest for assault earlier this month. Now the 20-year-old Russian barmaid is telling her side of the story to Hello! Magazine, and it’s not a pretty one. “The whole thing started off like a fairy tale. But then it felt like an evil fairy tale, when Ronnie and I moved into a tower, my friends were laughing and saying I was like the princess trapped in the tower. He went all Jekyll and Hyde. I’d be trapped there with an evil Goblin King.” While admitting their relationship began on a boozer, Ivanova claims she eventually grew tired of the rehab veteran.
I just don’t think he could handle [drinking] so well. Even if he wasn’t nasty, he would start repeating the same jokes and I found them really irritating. When we first met, I drank a lot but then I just couldn’t keep up. He would sit there and drink and I wouldn’t feel the need to. I would say, “You can carry on drinking, but all you are doing is pushing me away.” We would have the best nights out, then I would know when to stop and he wouldn’t. You need to be really strong to live with someone like that. I am strong but I can’t be bothered. I grew out of him. I just thought, what’s the point of being with an older man if he acts about 12?
Jake Gyllhenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are not splitting up, despite rumors to the contrary. People announced that the couple, who met on the set of Rendition in 2007, were finished on Sunday afternoon, crediting a source close to the Oscar-winning actress. Unfortunately for single ladies everywhere, reps from both sides denied the story in a matter of hours (“It’s not true…they’re still together”). How about they seal the deal by having one host SNL again soon and the other show up in a skit? Nothing says “happy couple” in Celebrity-land more than that.

Rumors that Aerosmith can’t get in touch with lead singer Steven Tyler must be true; why else would they keep talking to the media? We hoped the squabbles were over when the famous frontman denied break-up rumors at a solo Joe Perry concert, declaring “I am the rainbow!” before singing “Walk This Way” with his Toxic Twin of 40 years. But recent interviews with guitarist Brad Whitford and drummer Joey Kramer suggest the band may still be going on without him. “I suspect there’s a lot more going on than we know about,” Whtiford told Reuters. “He has a well-documented history of drug abuse, and I find myself very suspicious. I haven’t seen him do this…but the isolation is very typical of addictive behavior.” And with their legendary ’70s intake, we’re guessing they’d know.
“Steven has made some poor choices as of late, and he’s got some bad influences around him,” said Kramer, presumably referring to Tyler’s catfighting girlfriend Erin Brady. “and I think that for the most part he’s his own worst enemy.” With Tyler refusing to admit he’s ignoring the band—and telling the media he’s too busy working on his memoirs to comment—the rest of the group wants to go forward “as some derivative” of Aerosmith, as Tyler may keep them from using the name without him. Is this really how these guys are going to spend their 40th anniversary?

Though it only looked like Steven Tyler was leaving Aerosmith for less than a week, it was still far too long. The legendary frontman hopped on stage at a solo Joe Perry concert in NY last night to deny the rumors and perform “Walk This Way” with his musical partner of 40 years. Tyler and his girlfriend Erin Brady attended Glamour’s Women Of The Year awards the night before. “I just want New York to know that I’m not leaving Aerosmith,” Tyler told fans at Irving Plaza last night. “The break-up – it just ain’t true.” Perry, who used his twitter to say the band would continue without Tyler if necessary, has yet to comment on their apparent patching up.
Watch Tyler deny the reunion and play “Walk This Way” with Perry’s band after the jump.
After 40 years of spinning and shrieking, frontman Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith. At least that’s what fellow Toxic Twin Joe Perry thinks, judging from the flurry of upset tweets he dropped after reading that Tyler would be focusing on “Brand Tyler” in the future.
Read on line st left band to do “brand Tyler”? That’s all I know but like I’ve said hasn’t called me in months.a bit cold forget us 4 guys…What about fans? The people that also love him and put him where he is.after 40 years? And I gotta read it on line?…Last time I phoned him he hung up on me.
Though the band performed a handful of shows in Hawaii and Abu Dhabi following Tyler’s tour-ending fall in South Dakota last summer, relations have reportedly been strained, with the singer canceling their upcoming South American tour. “Obviously, he hasn’t been giving 100 percent for a long time,” Perry told People. “Frankly, the last few months I’ve been wanting not to rock the boat…I still care for him as a person, or at least the person I used to know. But things change.” While Tyler has yet to confirm the rumors, the band hopes to force his hand, possibly by continuing without him. “We’ll probably find somebody else, and then we’ll be able to move Aerosmith up a notch.” But who would dare put their scarf on his mic stand?
