Edward Norton To ‘Victimize’ Woody Harrelson In Cannes

woody-harrelson-edward-norton

On May 17th, during the Cannes Film Festival, Edward Norton and Woody Harrelson are set to battle it out on the poker table, but it’s all in the name of charity. According to Ed, Woody is going down.

“He’s more of my victim,” Ed says. “I love to take as much money off of him as possible.”

The event, which will take place at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, will benefit the Wilhelm and Karl Maybach Foundation and the Sunflower Children’s Foundation. Although Ed likes to victimize his pal while playing Texas Hold’em, there is one card shark who makes Ed a little nervous – Spiderman‘s Tobey Maguire.

“I hear Tobey is so good – almost pro-level – so that’s a little intimidating,” the Fight Club star says. [Source: NYDN; Photo: Getty Images]

Heath Ledger’s Last Film To Debut At Cannes

Heath Ledger‘s last film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, will make its world debut at the Cannes Film Festival on May 22nd.

Heath was in the middle of filming the story of the traveling carnival when he suddenly died in January of last year. Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell volunteered to finish Heath’s role, and each gave their salaries to Heath’s daughter Matilda.

The fantasy film is about a traveling show where members of the audience must choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom.

This year Heath won an Oscar posthumously for his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight, which his family accepted on his behalf and dedicated to Matilda. [Source: Hollywood Reporter; Photo: Getty Images]
