Man, this is some scary business to wake up to. P.Diddy was involved in a serious car crash in L.A. A car that was driving ahead of his SUV, made a left in front of Diddy’s vehicle, which T-boned into it. Contact Music says that the accident occurred right in front of the Beverly Hills Hotel. So far, all we know is that the police were at the scene and an ambulance was called, but luckily no one was hurt, even though all three involved — the two drivers and the rapper — did say they were in pain. TMZ has the pictures, and it looks pretty bad as the front of Diddy’s Cadillac Escalade looks totaled. Diddy was pretty shaken and had to sit down on the grass for some time to recover. Apparently no one was cited even though a report was filled out. News of the car crash has also spread within his circle of friends: Russell Simmons put his concern out there by tweeting, “glad to hear my man Puff is ok…” We second that. We’re really glad that Diddy and everyone else involved are fine. Their cars are going to need serious TLC, though!

Fortunately, someone up there really has Kristin Chenoweth‘s back, because this could have turned out way worse than it actually did. The actress has been filming for The Good Wife in Brooklyn, New York, but got hit by a falling piece of scaffolding on set yesterday. The poor thing had to be taken to hospital in a neck brace, on a stretcher after 911 was called just after five in the afternoon. Apparently, a strong gust of wind caused a piece of lighting equipment to fall down, and it hit Kristin “square in the head” and she was “knocked out cold”, according to a witness. To make matters worse, she hit her head on the concrete when she fell. Ouch. The witness dramatically also added, “I thought she was dead at first.” Fortunately, she’s okay now and is being treated for “minor injuries” according to a spokesperson for the New York Fire Department. We hope she heals super quickly and so glad she’s better. A lot of people are talking, quite gleefully, about how accident-prone Kristin is, as she’s taken a few tumbles on both television and Broadway sets. But this really wasn’t her fault, because she’s can’t really control the wind, can she? She did play Glinda in Wicked, but that’s not real people. No real sorcery there. So lay off and just wish her well!

As someone who has repeatedly walked into glass doors her whole life, I’d like to commiserate with Justin Bieber. I’d also like to tell people who have laughed at me because of the fact that I’m the person who walks into glass doors — it’s not funny! And it hurts like hell. Okay, it’s a little funny when the results are comical, but sometimes, those glass panes can knock the hell out of you. We have a feeling that the Biebs is now going to become a cautionary tale about that sort of accident. He was hurt pretty badly because the poor guy actually ran into a glass wall while performing at his concert in Paris yesterday.
He explained what happened to TMZ saying, ” … I was performing and I was going offstage. Basically, I’m in Paris and I’m performing in the tallest building in Paris and there’s a glass wall behind me, but there’s a railing behind the glass. And so I went to reach for the railing and I hit my head on the glass. I guess me and glass windows don’t really go together.” He also added, “After that, I went offstage and I immediately felt really weak and I was walking down the stairs and I passed out for 15 seconds.” This happened after Justin actually went back on after getting clocked by the glass, and finished his set, which he said happened because of “adrenaline.” What a trooper! The singer had to see a doctor afterwards, who said he had to take it easy and that he had a concussion. But Justin says he feels okay now, thankfully. The glass window could not be reached for comment.

We really wanted to cheer Anne Hathaway up yesterday considering her character Fantine has a pretty miserable time in the most aptly named novel — and iminent movie — ever, Les Miserables. That may be the character she’s playing in reel life, and with her slight frame and shorn hair, Anne does fit the part perfectly. But here’s why no matter how frail the actress looks, we’ll never see the sadness of the roles she plays spill over into her personality. You know … like how some actors really live their parts, so if they’re playing grouches on screen, they’ll be grouches all the time? Anne was spotted yesterday was her right arm bandaged up and in a sling. Not the best position to be in, but she looked so sunny, that we wanted to hug her! Anne was in Brooklyn having lunch with a friend, and if we were in her injured shoes, we wouldn’t be looking so happy. But look at that smile of hers! Her spokesperson explained the cast saying, “She had a minor accident over the weekend and injured her wrist.” Feel better, babe. You already look right as rain to us!

You’d think getting a DUI after side-swiping a cop cruiser would be enough to make anyone lay off the booze, or at least seriously consider investing in a chauffeur. But Amanda Bynes is apparently made of stronger (and dumber) stuff. The former child-star was spotted leaving Los Angeles’ legendary Chateau Marmont last night texting behind the wheel, driving on sidewalks, and generally making Drivers Ed teachers instructors everywhere cry. This is Bynes’ second nightclub outing since her arrest last week which landed her in jail for a night. Earlier this week she and her friends were reportedly turned away from the bar that over-served her that fateful night. But Amanda didn’t seem to have any such mishaps last night, as she left the famous hotel/Lindsay Lohan headquarters in tiny shorts and a flimsy top. But her feet are mysteriously covered with a ton of bandaids, so maybe she’s been walking more instead of driving these days. Good plan! Check out more in the gallery below.

Thankfully, everyone is OK. The photograph on the right is of a giant eucalyptus tree that toppled over into Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart‘s home in Beverly Hills. This happened late Wednesday night, when L.A winds were reaching almost 100 mph. The couple was home with their daughter when the tree fell, but luckily no one was hurt. The photograph on the right is of a very pregnant Rebecca heading to the doctor’s office the next day, as she reportedly felt ill after the incident. It’s probably the shock of having a gigantic tree slam into your house while you’re in it.

We really hope Steven Tyler is feeling better now. The Aerosmith frontman collapsed in a hotel shower in Paraguay where he was scheduled to perform yesterday. TMZ reported that Tyler had smashed his face pretty badly. News has now surfaced that he was dehydrated and had food poisoning, which is what caused him to fall.
Downplaying the incident, Tyler’s manager said the singer’s injuries were “minor” and that he’s out of hospital. But he lost some teeth! No, seriously. It’s being reported that Steve’s face was injured — which he was treated for — and he lost two teeth. The concert had to be moved to today, and the singer’s rep said that Tyler would like to “sincerely apologize” for having to change the date. Let’s hope it goes down without any further incidents.
A 20-year old crashed into LeAnn Rime‘s home in Lost Hills, California at approximately six in the morning yesterday. The police suspect he may have been drunk but they have to wait for the toxicology report before making a confirmation. The driver was on a suspended license — which is bad news in any case — and the accident was pretty severe. He mowed through a stop sign and went straight into light pole and the fence outside LeAnn‘s house. She was, fortunately, in North Carolina at the time.
LeAnn also got on Twitter to talk about the incident, writing, “To address the accident that happened in front of our home this morning, everyone is ok and safe. However, if drunk driving was involved it is terribly sad. My family could have been seriously injured and any situation where someone is drinking and driving should not be taken lightly. Needless to say, it was a very unsettling call to receive this morning. Thank goodness the young driver and everyone at home are ok.”
We’re really glad no one was hurt because this could have been a lot worse! Her family’s had to spend the night in darkness upon their return because the driver took out the power lines as well! LeAnn tweeted an explanation saying, “At home in LA. Going home to no power for the night cause the power lines outside our house need to be replaced cause of the accident.” That 20 year old’s ride is just beginning, though. He’s in big trouble!
Don’t worry, she’s okay. Reese Witherspoon was struck by a car yesterday while she was out jogging in Los Angeles. Luckily, the car was only going 20 mph, because it could’ve been a lot worse if it was going faster. The Santa Monica Police Department were quick to react and a spokesperson has confirmed, “Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car on Wednesday and sustained minor injuries.”
Reese was rushed to a local hospital, but she was quickly released and is now comfortably resting at home. TMZ updates read that the driver was an 84-year-old woman who didn’t stop when Reese was crossing the street. The driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
Geez, do we love this woman or what? Sir Richard Branson‘s amazing Caribbean villa on his private island (worth 60 million pounds) caught fire yesterday, after being struck by lightening. It’s been completely razed to the ground, but what was even more terrifying was that at least 20 people were in the house when it went up in flames. Amongst his guests was Kate Winslet, who carried Branson’s mum out to safety!
The tycoon’s mother, Eve, is 90 years old and according to Branson, “It was she [Winlset] who carried my mother out of the house. She said it was like being on a film set where you’re waiting for the words “cut” but they just don’t come. So it was quite surreal for her to be in a real-life situation.” Of her bravery, he added, “She carried my Mum out of the house. My Mum is 90 and can walk but it was more just to speed the process up than anything else but anyway, she was great. She swept her up into her arms and got them out of the house as fast as possible.” Amazing, right?
Fortunately, everyone got out okay, including Winslet’s two children and Branson’s daughter Holly. The fire started raging around 4 am, and Branson’s son, Sam (who was staying in another villa with his father and mother, Joan), ran into the flames to help everyone get out. Branson explained, “We had a really bad tropical storm with winds up to 90mph. A big lightning storm came around 4am and hit the house. It took hold incredibly quickly, with flames 100ft high. It ripped through the house very quickly. Sam heard explosions in the main house and raised the alarm. He and my nephew Jack rushed to the house and helped get everyone out.” We’re so glad that everyone got out safely and is uninjured.
