Amy Winehouse Toxicology Report Allegedly Turns Up Alcohol, No Illegal Drugs

With results finally emerging a month to the day of her passing, Amy Winehouse’s autopsy has allegedly revealed that there were no illegal drugs in the singer’s body at the time of her death, at least according to her family. Said their spokesperson Chris Goodman, “toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.” While Amy’s family reports that it is still unclear what killed the Back To Black musician, the results supposedly do show that “alcohol was present” in her body.

Winehouse’s rehab stint earlier this year, combined with her rocky history of substance abuse, had many assuming drugs would be a significant factor in Amy Winehouse’s death. However, prior to autopsy results, Amy’s family suspected alcohol withdrawal might have been a factor instead. There will apparently be a second inquest into the singer’s death in October, which will hopefully offer a clearer picture as to the exact circumstances around her passing.

Ice-T Jokes About The Death Of RHOBH‘s Russell Armstrong On Twitter

We’ll never understand why celebrities get mad when people are offended by the awful things they post via social media, like for example, Ice T’s Russell Armstrong joke. It’s not like you whispered it to Coco in your own apartment and somehow the entire Internet heard. You posted it for your 126,736 followers, Ice!

Following news of Real Housewives of Beverly HillsRussell Armstrong’s suicide yesterday, confirmed by a coroner today, the Law & Order: SVU star waited way less than 24 hours before tweeting, “Bad Joke… But alotta those wives would make me consider it.” We guess if Ice knows it’s a bad joke, that makes it ugh. Despite the fact that The Hollywood Reporter and others have pointed out that it’s beyond “too soon” for that kind of riffing, the star of his own reality show Ice Loves Coco isn’t exactly taking it back any time soon. After posting some other jokes about The Situation Ambercrombie and Fitch debacle, Ice tweeted “I guess I just lost all my Rich Unhappy Wife, Jersey Kid Guido & Pro Hoe’n fans!!!! Damn! What am I gonna do now?!! I still got the #FLTG” Probably lose even more fans, if we had to guess.

Bubba Smith Found Dead In His Apartment

Charles “Bubba” Smith was found dead yesterday, in his house in L.A, passing away at just 66 years of age. He was not only an old NFL great, but was also Moses Hightower in six of the Police Academy movies. Apparently, his caretaker found him and called the police — both 911 and the fire department responded — but he had already been long gone. Just to be sure, the autopsy will be performed later this week, even though his death was believed to have been a result of natural causes by the L.A County Coroner’s office.

NFL fans will remember that Smith played for the Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers and won the Super Bowl V with the Baltimore Colts. Police Academy used to be our guilty pleasure, as well! R.I.P, Bubba.

Amy Winehouse’s Family Suspects Alcohol Withdrawal In Singer’s Death

The only thing sadder than Amy Winehouse’s death would be if her death came as the result of her attempts to get sober. While Amy Winehouse’s autopsy earlier this week proved inconclusive, and toxicology reports won’t yield results for 2 to 4 weeks, the singer’s family are reportedly of the opinion that Amy Winehouse’s cause of death was alcohol withdrawal. People confirms with those close to the Black To Black performer that they feel this may be the case, given that Amy abruptly quit drinking within the last month, against the advice of doctors to cut back gradually to avoid complications. “Abstinence gave her body such a fright, they thought it was eventually the cause of her death,” a source tells the British paper Sun.

Meanwhile, rumors of a Amy Winehouse album of her unreleased material is rumored, but remains unconfirmed. Britain’s The Guardian reports that, “A spokesman close to Universal, the mother company of the singer songwriter’s label, Island Records, said the singer had put down the ‘framework’ of around a ‘dozen’ new songs.” Unless every single one of those new jams is a dubstep remix of “F— Me Pumps,” we should all get prepare to be completely devastated all over again, if/when it ever gets released.

Amy Winehouse Laid To Rest In London

Amy Winehouse’s funeral was held this morning in London’s Edgewarebury Cemetery, followed by a cremation ceremony at Golders Green Crematorium, attended by family and friend,  including Kelly Osbourne and Winehouse’s frequent collaborator and producer Mark Ronson. Amy Winehouse’s autopsy, performed yesterday, proved inconclusive; toxicology tests will take two to four weeks to yield results.

According to TMZ, Amy’s father Mitch Winehouse gave a eulogy during Amy’s service, which was lead by a rabbi and performed in English and Hebrew. Mitch said, in part, “Goodnight my angel … Sleep tight. Mommy and Daddy love you ever so much,” before encouraging the attendants to sing along with the closing song, Carole King‘s “So Far Away,” all of which makes us want to lie down in a dark room and listen to “Tears Dry On Their Own” on repeat for a few more hours.

Ryan Dunn’s Blood Alcohol Levels Way Over The Legal Limit When He Crashed

We’ve truly been sorry about reporting about Ryan Dunn‘s death. His body went for an autopsy this week to figure out whether or not he was driving under the influence when he crashed his Porsche 911, killing both himself and his passenger, Zachary Hartwell. Apparently, Ryan was driving at speeds between 132-140 MPH when the horrific accident happened.

Unfortunately, West Goshen’s, Pennsylvania (an area close to where the crash happened), Chief of Police Michael Carroll has revealed the results of Dunn’s toxicology report and it’s not good. Ryan’s blood alcohol levels were at an astounding .196. The legal limit in the state of Pennsylvania  is .08, which makes him approximately two-and-a-half times over. No other substances were found in his blood, though. And before people start talking about Roger Ebert was right about his  “drink and drive” tweet concerning Ryan, we agree about what he said. We just didn’t agree with how he said it.

Bam Margera Responds To Roger Ebert’s Tweet Post Ryan Dunn’s Death

Ryan Dunn‘s untimely death yesterday has come as a shock to many. He was involved in a fatal car crash, along with his passenger, after losing control of his Porsche 911. What everyone’s talking about now is how Ryan was drinking before the crash (reports conflict as to how much was alcohol was consumed). Dunn posed for pictures outside the bar he was drinking at with friends, and he did look quite flushed. Reports confirm that he had at least three beers and three shots while there. The autopsy’s currently underway to see whether booze had anything to do with crash or not, but either way, the internet’s already buzzing with both condolences and debate.

One controversy that’s brewing at the moment is due to a tweet by caustic critic Roger Ebert: “Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.” The backlash from the comment has been tremendous and none more so than from Dunn’s friend and co-star Bam Margera who tweeted in return, “I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of s— roger ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents”. Bam followed up with another tweet that raged, “About a jackass drunk driving and his is one, f— you! Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat f—ing mouth!”

Ebert’s been silent since then tweeting about other subjects. The only time he touched upon the subject again was when PerezHilton went at him in a post, to which Ebert wrote back with, “Perez Hilton’s readers agree with me and not with Perez about my tweet on Ryan Dunn. He drank, he drove, 2 people died.”  We aren’t fans of Ebert, FYI. We are completely against drinking and driving (and have lost friends because of it), but the fact is that there’s a time and a place to comment. Sounding like a “jackass” right after someone has passed away isn’t the way to go. R.I.P Ryan.

Jackass Star Ryan Dunn Dies In Car Crash

TMZ is reporting that Jackass star Ryan Dunn died in a car crash late last night in West Goshen Township, PA. Dunn tweeted a photo of himself drinking earlier that night, though it is unclear who was driving the vehicle. Aside from his notorious exploits on the hit MTV show and movie series—which included visiting a doctor with a toy car up his butt—Dunn starred in  Bam Margera‘s film Haggard, and just began hosting Proving Ground on G4, a show devoted to testing whether video game tricks could be replicated in real life. He was also set to make the pot comedy Mustache Riders with Bam Margera, Johnny Knoxville and Willie Nelson. Dunn turned 34 earlier this month.

Jeff Conaway To Be Taken Off Life Support

We are sad to hear that Taxi actor Jeff Conaway’s life support system will be shut off today, according to a source reporting to RadarOnline. The star of our adolescent dreams as Kenickie in Grease had been put in a medically induced coma after entering the hospital May 11. “Doctors advised the family that Jeff has had no brain function since he was brought into the hospital,” the source said. “The feeding tube has already been removed. The ventilator which is breathing for Jeff, will be removed sometime this afternoon.” Dr. Drew Pinsky has said publicly that the star was battling pneumonia and sepsis, which contributed to his coma. Conaway’s girlfriend Vikki Lizzi, who joined him in his battle with substance addiction as seen on Celebrity Rehab, was reportedly served with a restraining order preventing her from visiting Conaway in the hospital; Lizzi contested the restraining order, filed by Conaway’s sister Carla Sherve.
