Calvin Klein Turns 70: Check Out The 10 Hottest Celebs In His Classic Sexy Ads

Calvin Klein is one of the most iconic American fashion designers of our time. His eternal minimalistic looks have graced some of biggest red carpets and have been worn by some of the biggest celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts. It’s hard to imagine that it all started 44 years ago in a small coat shop in the York Hotel right here in New York City when Klein founded Calvin Klein Limited with only $10,000. Today the famed designer is turning 70 and we’re pretty sure it’s safe to say that was $10,000 well spent!

Besides being awarded time after time for his fashions, the designer has also been accredited for many of his risqué ads, especially in the 80′s and 90’s. Who could forget Brooke Shields and her famous line “”You wanna know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing.” And don’t even get us started on the the uber sexy ads that featured a young Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss. Calvin Klein has indefinitely jump-started many careers, so in honor of his 70th birthday we give you the 10 hottest celebs who have famously rocked a pair of CKs in print. Enjoy!

Katie Holmes’ Style Line Set To Drop At NY Fashion Week, Here’s 10 More Celebrity Designers

Katie Holmes is sticking to her passion for fashion through her very public divorce from Tom Cruise. So much so that a spokesperson from Holmes’ brand, Holmes & Yang, announced that they will be putting on a presentation during New York Fashion Week in September of this year. This is Holmes & Yang’s debut at New York Fashion Week and they will be showcasing their spring collection. It seems like more celebs than we can count have dabbled in the fashion industry along with being musical artists or actors. Gwen Stefani with her punk rock L.A.M.B line and of course Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen with their high fashion design line, The Row. Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, Coco, and Victoria Beckham are also no strangers to the world of fashion. These multi-talented go-getters show their spunk, individuality, and sequins (of course, Coco) in their designs. Head down the gallery below to see what they’ve come up with for the catwalk!

Geri Halliwell Launches A Union Jack Clothing Collection

We’re complete suckers for anything related to the Spice Girls. Including this bit of news that had us rolling with laughter (but in a good way). Geri Halliwell has a collaboration going with clothing company Next, and guess what she decided to design from them? An entire Union Jack clothing line, as you can see above. She unveiled it in London earlier today, wearing a sequined version of her own design — the flag sheath dress. It’s an obvious pimping of her iconic Union Jack-Spice Girls look, but who cares? What’s the bet that it’ll totally sell out?

The Sisters Simpson Turn Tweeny Fashion Co-Designers

Big sis is already some sort of a fashion mogul, so it’s natural that the younger sibling would jump on board. Jessica and Ashlee Simpson are co-designing a fashion line of tween clothing which will be part of the Jessica Simpson Collection. Run, young ‘uns, RUN AWAY! We kid. Kinda. Between Jessica’s really whack wardrobe and Ashlee’s hipper-than-thou style we’re imagining a group of 9-14 year olds walking around with bleach blond hair, raccoon eyes and clothes that jut out at really weird angles and are two sizes too small. But, we’re sure (read: hoping) that’s not going to happen. Right? Someone reassure us quickly, please?

Jess is pretty confident that that they’re going to create some groundbreaking tween couture, though. She said, “Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand. I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens.” The collection will launch this fall and Ashlee’s on a mission to rock the pre-teen world as well saying, “My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion.” Moms, you have been warned.
