Yolanda Pecoraro Who? Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes, Let Us Plan Your Rebounds

Tom Cruise Rebounding With Ex Yolana Pecoro?

We know it’s only been a matter of days since the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes divorce announcement, but RadarOnline is pretty sure they already know who Tom’s next spouse is going to be. According to them, actress Yolana Pecoraro might as well set up her registry now; she’s gorgeous, a Scientologist and, most importantly, already dated Tom Cruise in 2004, albeit vey briefly. “Yes, I knew and still know Tom Cruise. And no, I’m not married or engaged,” Yolanda told the National Enquirer in response to their queries. That definitely ain’t a no! While only time and/or Tom will tell if these two are a love match (and we’re pretty sure Cruise is smart enough to wait at least a few weeks before debuting a new girlfriend), we have some other suggestions for potential rebounds for both Katie and Tom…

Russell Brand’s Classy Katy Perry Comments Top The 5 Nicest Things He’s Done Since The Split

Russell Brand Dating Isabella Brewster

Russell Brand might have some genius PR team that we don’t know about, but the fact he’s coming out of his divorce from Katy Perry looking like the sweetest man alive seems to be mostly him. “I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other,” Brand explained to Howard Stern today. “I don’t want to be too glib … She’ll read it and she’ll be sad and I don’t want that.” Awww, this guy keeps it nice! Since we know how easy it is for celebs to get carried away on Stern (we never thought we’d know as much as we do about David Arquette and Courtney Cox’s sex life, for example), we’d count Russell’s sweet, protective comments one of the top five nicest things he’s done since he and Katy announced their divorce last year. Check out the rest below; they are just so dreamy. Now we want to be divorced from Russell Brand! Please?

Tom Cruise Puts In Daddy Duty With Suri For The First Time Since Divorce Announcement

Suri Cruise and Tom Cruise

Parenting is hard enough as it is. We can’t imagine how hard it would be to try and raise a kindergartner while getting a divorce…and shooting a movie…and also hearing insane rumors about how Scientologists allegedly sideswiped your ex in a garbage truck. All Katie Holmes divorce drama aside, Tom Cruise looked like any other soon-to-be divorced papa as he ferried Suri around Manhattan today; it’s allegedly the first time he’s seen his daughter since the news of his divorce hit the Interwebs June 29. Tom Cruise’s sister Cass also joined them with an armful of unicorns to add to the cuteness factor. Aunts and stuffed friends: two of a single dad’s greatest weapons in the epic struggle to be a good parent.

Least he be looked down for failing to visit Suri until today, at least Cruise has been able to see his other kids more frequently; teen DJ Connor visited the set of Tom’s action flick Oblivion in Iceland last month, then joined sister Isabella in Mammoth Lakes, California this weekend to spend time with their pop as he was wrapping up filming. If only Suri was old enough to hop on a plane! Or, you know, walk across the street without holding a grown-up’s hand. That would probably make this whole “three kids with two ex-wives” thing a little easier…

Katie Holmes Used A Disposable Cell: 5 Other Tactics She And Tom Learned From The Movies

Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise and Kathleen Holmes

We thought we were nearing the end of our coverage of the super-fast divorce of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, but then we read this interesting tidbit in the Los Angeles Times: Katie reportedly used a disposable cell phone to talk to lawyers when she began planning to file for divorce. Because, we guess, Tom and the Scientologists had her regular phone tapped? So creepy and intriguing! So straight out of a movie starring either Katie Holmes or Tom Cruise!

What else did these two probably learn from TV and movies? Here are our wild speculations:

1. Radar says Tom duct-taped all the hallway security cameras in his Iceland hotel the last time Katie stayed there. We’re not sure who he thought would be watching them, but he probably should have taped photos that look exactly like the hallway instead. That’s what Ethan Hunt would have done.

2. Katie made sure to file in New York, where she could make the divorce public and wouldn’t have to follow the prenup — it’s just like how Sally Field wouldn’t fled Iran before letting her husband divorce her in Not Without My Daughter!

Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise Settle Fastest Celeb Divorce Ever!

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise

Holy Xenu, that was fast! Katie Holmes’ attorney just confirmed to People today that she and Tom Cruise have reached a settlement less than two weeks after Katie filed in New York. “The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life,” attorney Jonathan Wolfe said in a statement.

This has to be one of the quickest divorce settlements in the history of celebrity splits. And it’s making us miiiiighty suspicious. Last week, Holmes filed to make the divorce public, leading many to speculate that Cruise had some kind of secret he didn’t want to get out via court papers, which Holmes was in turn using as a bargaining chip. Was it a deep dark Scientology secret? Was he actually having an affair with David Beckham? Was he secretly lip-synching in Rock of Ages? The world may never know now. But the fact that they announced this settlement so quickly makes us feel we have free reign to believe all of the above. Just kidding! Journalism!

Tom Cruise’s Lawyer Snarks That Katie Will “Play The Media” And “Wear Everyone Out.” He Wishes!

Tom Cruise's Lawyer Says Katie Holmes Is "Playing The Media"

Tom Cruise‘s lawyer might have a theory about where all the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes divorce rumors are coming from, but if he thinks any of us are going to get tired of TomKat’s break-up anytime soon…oh boy, he is sorely mistaken. “Tactically we can’t say where Tom will file a divorce case and if he’ll be seeking joint custody of Suri,” Cruise’s litigator Bert Fields told the BBC. “We are letting ‘the other side’ (Katie and her team) play the media until they wear everyone out and then we’ll have something to say.” Wear everyone out? With details about two A-listers getting a surprise divorce? Has this guy ever been on the Internet?

Some, like The Hollywood Reporter, postulate that Cruise’s next move might be to file for divorce in California in an attempt to up his chances of getting joint custody of Suri. Meanwhile, Katie Holmes spent some time today visiting her divorce lawyer in New York. Man, just typing those sentences made us exhausted. Haha, just kidding! We could type TomKat gossip all night long. It’s what 5-Hour Energy shots were invented for! “It’s not Tom’s style to do this publicly,” Fields added…publicly. “He is really sad about what’s happening.” Well, so are we. We just…aw, well now we feel bad. Not so bad we won’t be providing you up-to-the-second divorce news, but you know what we mean. We still love these kids, after all.

Katie Holmes Vs. Tom Cruise: All The Scientology Rumors, Explanations And More

Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes go out for ice cream

So many of the rumors about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise‘s divorce center on Scientology, we’re starting to suspect this is all part of Anonymous’ plot to take down the religion, or was that Paul Haggis’ plot? Whatever. We can’t pretend to understand L. Ron Hubbard’s teachings or the many mysteries surrounding the Church of Scientology (most of what we know, we learned from that South Park episode, really), but we can round up all of what we’ve heard and read in one convenient place. Enjoy!

  • Some say Katie’s main reason for filing was to protect Suri from the Scientology practice of auditing — which is a method of questioning that helps the subject clear themselves of negative influences. We’re probably explaining this wrong, so find out all about it here. Katie herself didn’t seem all that comfortable with auditing, as she supposedly held back during questioning. Also, an ex-Scientologist says her parents were getting inside reports about what she said during the process. That’s extra, extra creepy.
  • By the way, the Church is not opposed to divorce in and of itself, according to ABC News. They just prefer couples try therapy first. Fair enough.
  • Speculation that Tom Cruise’s marriages are all a Scientology scheme to hide his sexuality are nothing new, so is that really the religion’s M.O.? ReligiousTolerance.org outlines Scientology’s stance on homosexuality. Basically Hubbard originally called being gay an illness (but that’s what all of psychology thought in the 1950s, too). But in the past two decades, some gay Scientologists have said that they are fully accepted by the religion. Hmmm, that’s not to say they wouldn’t want to help one of their most prominent members stay in the closet.

Did The Notebook Really Get R. Kelly To Divorce His Wife?

R. Kelly Blames "The Notebook" For His Divorce

How could a movie like The Notebook end a marriage? It goes against the very grain of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams‘ very existence in the film. We won’t have any of it. Not listening. Our hands are on our ears at this very moment. But R. Kelly is on a roll and won’t let us be! He’s distressing us with all this talk that the movie was responsible for his marriage to Andrea Kelly dissolving, back in 2009. We kid you not. It’s all in his new book “Soulacoaster. ” May we just repeat that name for you, because it’s really that unbelievable — Soulacoaster. Hello, attack of the giggles!

Basically, he felt that his 12-year-old marriage couldn’t ever compare to the epic romance that is at the center of The Notebook. He writes, “As the film credits started to roll, I couldn’t move. I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. ‘The Notebook’ was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. But I was also crying because I remembered a Valentine’s Day — when a helicopter dropped a rainfall of roses — that had come and gone … My marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back.” Ai yi yi. That’s a bit much, isn’t it? His ex, Andrea, agrees with us, telling TMZ, “[The movie] came out in 2004 and we saw it together.  Our divorce wasn’t finalized until 2009 so it’s impossible that the movie could have been the reason for our relationship ending. We had been separated for 6 years at that point! The movie definitely did not end our relationship!” Heard that, R. Kelly? Don’t come up in here and blame The Gosling for your business!

Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Divorce: Your Round-Up Of Split Rumors From The Weekend

Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Divorce Rumors Round-Up

So, we weren’t the only ones thrown for a complete loop by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes‘ divorce announcement on Friday, right? That kind of blew the roof off … everything. Up till Friday, we learned that Katie was the one filing for divorce (no surprise there) in New York, and wanted sole custody of their daughter, Suri. Tom was said to be completely “blindsided” — no surprise there either. But since Friday, as expected, there have been a number of rumors and news stories doing the rounds about the reason for the split. We’ve rounded them up for you, so you can stay in the loop about what the hell is going on with those two.

• Katie may have messed things up for Tom by filing for divorce in New York, according to sources. Apparently, this could really create a massive hassle for Tom, due to tax reasons — rates are super high in NYC. Also New York courts would be way more inclined to give Katie sole custody of Suri, as the laws differ from California child-centric laws. Their New York apartment is in Katie’s name, which Tom signed over a while ago, just so he could avoid the tax fallback. This decision could bite him on the hiney now, as Kate’s now using that apartment as proof of residency, which will allow her to file in New York.

• Tom and Katie have been living separately in the weeks leading up to the divorce, even though they were in the same city. Katie stayed in the apartment, while Tom apparently, lived at The Greenwich Hotel, and never once visited. This all went down last month. The buzz is that Katie dropped by unannounced with Suri, at his hotel, twice. People in their building have told the press that Tom hadn’t been around for a while, which means the trouble had been brewing for a while then. Katie now has a new three bedroom apartment as well, that she and Suri are moving into.

• Tom has now lawyered up with the same ace attorney he used with his divorce with Nicole Kidman, back in 2001 — Dennis Wasser. His litigator, Bert Fields has said, “I would hope that it’s not a contentious matter. I know Tom is not a particularly contentious person.” “I can’t comment on that. It will all come out,” is what he countered when asked about a pre-nup. Kate is being repp’d by a New Jersey-based attorney called Jonathan Wolfe.

• Katie was “cast” to be Tom’s wife, the New York Post says, after other actresses like Erika Christensen didn’t pass muster, and Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba didn’t bite.

• This is, by far, one of the weirder ones. Supposedly, Katie is being TAILED by Scientologists! This is what sources tell TMZ. Apparently, she is now a threat to their organisation, so they’ve been following her every move, in the New York area, specifically. TMZ also reports that there are “mysterious” mean and cars around Katie’s apartment — a white Cadillac Escalade and a black Mercedes SUV in particular — over the last week, and these have been photographed. Is this the media, or Scientologists or maybe even some Tom has sicced on her? Who knows!  Read more…

Flashback: A Newly Engaged Tom Cruise Swoons Over Katie Holmes, Talks Oprah Couch Jump

If you weren’t already bummed after hearing about the impending Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes divorce (and admit it: you kind of were), you sure will be now after watching an energetic, newly engaged Cruise gush about his fiance Katie. “I love this woman. I love it and it’s fun and I don’t mind sharing it with people,” Tom says about loving his bride-to-be. “I think that more people should do that.” In an interview shot by Vh1 News back in spring 2005, Cruise also talks about his infamous Oprah couch jumping incident, which aired that May. When asked if his reaction was too over the top, Cruise laughs, “No, man, I don’t think I went hard enough.” We know we reference Tom Cruise’s couch jump way more than is necessary, but seriously, it has to be seen to be believed. We want our children to know about it. Our children’s children.

Later that year the couple announced Katie’s pregnancy; daughter Suri was born April 2006, and the two were finally wed in November 2006 in Bracciano, Italy. “When something good happens, you’ve got to share it,” Tom says with a smile. Sorry, there’s just something in our eye…it’s all these photos of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. How come no one has ever jumped on Oprah’s couch for us, huh? Why?
