Gene Simmons proposed to his girlfriend Shannon Tweed two months ago and has already jumped right into wedding plans! Which is great, but totally unexpected considering the rockstar proclaimed he’d never get married right up till popping the question to his now fiance.
We’re loving the Simmons-Tweed wedding invites which are out and reveal that they’re getting married on October 1 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The kids of the couple are responsible for the (good-naturedly) sarcastic, but hilarious writing which begins with, “After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot. Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father’s life … well, it doesn’t change that much.” And this is probably our favorite dress-code statement ever, as it reads, “Classy Cocktail Attire Requested. Although we know some rockstar attire will be worn.” We have a feeling this is going to be such a fun wedding! Good luck, you two!
Wedding bells are not on the horizon for Angelina Jolie. The Oscar-winner recently spoke to Vanity Fair about her upcoming directorial debut, but took the time to dispel any rumors that she is tying the knot with longtime partner Brad Pitt. “There’s no secret wedding,” she bluntly told VF contributing editor Rich Cohen, “I’m not pregnant, I’m not adopting at the moment.” Once she got that out of the way, Angie hunkered down to discuss work on her passion project, Land of Blood and Honey, for which she’s not only behind the camera but also behind the pen. “I had the flu,” she said about how she came to write the screenplay. “I had to be quarantined from the children for two days. I was in the attic of a house in France…So I started writing.” She then sent a copy of the script to Brad for a second opinion. “He called and said, ‘You know, honey, it’s not that bad.’”Jeez Brad, easy on the enthusiasm!
She admits that the experience has been really rather scary, making her feel more vulnerable than ever before. “I’ve never felt more exposed. My whole career, I’ve hidden behind other people’s words,” she said. “Now it’s me talking. You feel ridiculous when you get something wrong.” The film’s controversial plot centers around the Bosnian War in the early 90s. But she feels that she’s up to tackling the tricky subject matter. “It was something I didn’t trust out of my hands. So by default I ended up putting myself in as director.” She shot the film on location in Serbia last October, making sure that locals gave their seal of approval. “[I showed the script to] people of Serbian and Bosnian nationality who’d been through the war. I was gauging the accuracy…. If they said no, I wouldn’t have done it.” The film is set to open wide on December 23rd of this year, and the latest edition of Vanity Fair will hit news stands on September 1st.

This news got almost completely buried under VMA madness, specifically Beyonce getting babied! Because Beyonce-baby is already more famous in its embryonic stage than most celebrities can ever hope to be. But we digress in our excitement! This is not about celebspawn. This is about wishing newly-weds Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars a world of happiness!
The director wed her rocker boyfriend (who just happens to be the front-man for Phoenix) on Saturday in an idyllic Southern Italian village called Bernalda, where the Coppola’s have a family villa. This sounds like our dream wedding, BTW. Check this out — the bride and groom said their vows in front of 80 people in the evening at a beautiful historical building called the Palazzo Margherita. They then feasted on cheeses, figs, salads, pasta, fish and pork, paired with wine. Damn. Could our invite have got lost in the mail, perhaps? Sofia wore a lovely, lavender designed just for her by Azzedine Alaïa to make it even more squee-worthy. The couple share two kiddies and have been together for years before making it “official” official. Congratulazioni!

Now that we’ve posted that video of Kim Kardashian‘s wedding, and you’ve seen the setting, it’s time for the dirty details. The photo you see above are the new hitched Mr. and Mrs. Kris Humphries emerging from their hotel the day after the wedding. But who came to the wedding and what was it like ?
Celebrity guests included — deep breath — Ryan Seacrest, Julianne Hough, Eva Longoria, Lindsay Lohan and mom Dina, Avril Lavigne, Melanie Brown (from the Spice Girls), Mark Ballas, George Lopez, Ciara, Cheryl Burke, Mario Lopez, Serena and Venus Williams, La La Vasquez and Carmelo Anthony, Kathy Lee Gifford, Brittny Gastineau, Sugar Ray Leonard, Kelly Osbourne and Demi Lovato. Phew! Robin Thicke serenaded the newly hitched couples first dance with the song Angels. Read more…
Considering Kim Kardashian‘s wedding photos are going to be guarded like the gold at Fort Knox — Kimmy’s wedding is raking in a reported $17 million — we’re rather happy with this little sneak peek of the “I do’s” that went down on Saturday in Montecito, California. E! Online has released this video of the wedding which is going to be aired as a special later. We have to say, it all looks pretty elegant with the black and white theme and doesn’t little Mason just steal the show? Plus we finally get to see Kim in her Vera Wang gown and hello diamond-dripping headband? And mom Kris Jenner‘s wearing white too, as did the whole bridal party. How very Pippa Middleton of them! It’s done, she’s hitched and we’re all sending a big shout-out and congratulations to her and new husband Kris Humphries!
Check out the video, after the jump. Read more…
The hoopla has already begun. She may not have walked down the aisle yet, but Kim Kardashian‘s “Bride” wax figure is already standing proud at Madame Tussaud’s on Hollywood Boulevard. In a wedding dress that would probably make Vera Wang — who is designing the actual gown for the real Kim.K— balk. This silk version with its 20-foot train was designed by Simin and is reportedly worth six figures.
Add to that the figure itself, which cost a cool $300,000 to make. It was spiffed up for the unveiling, which was handled by Perez Hilton yesterday. They also put a diamond and emerald necklace by La Velancia worth $1 million on the statue for the day. So you can do the math on what the whole shebang actually cost. Expensive, but no where near what the actual wedding itself is cashing in at, we’re betting.
Kim herself didn’t attend but tweeted Perez, writing, “This is the 1st I’m hearing bout this! Take a pic 4 me.” Kim quickly sent a follow-up tweet that read, “Excited I just heard from @PerezHilton that Madame Tussaud is unveiling a new wax figure in Hollywood! Now there’s 3 of us! 3some anyone LOL.” Stay tuned for the actual wedding this weekend. You know it’s going to be everywhere!
Life ain’t always easy for a bride-to-be. Just ask Kim Kardashian, who now has the awkward task of uninviting 50 guests from her wedding to Kris Humphries. But it’s nothing personal, you guys! It just looks like there isn’t enough room for all of her friends and the film crew for her four-hour reality show special. So rather than cut down on camera angles, some of Kim’s peeps are getting the boot. Can we get a sad trombone?
The happy Kouple are reportedly getting married at the Sotto Il Monte mansion in Montecito, Califorina. But according to sources, the local fire marshal wasn’t happy when he learned that a massive production crew and camera equipment would also be roaming the 10.9 acre estate. After much back and forth, the marshal demanded that Kim trim her list. With just two days to go before the big day, that’s probably gonna piss some people off. But hey, at least they can watch the blessed union in TV, right?
Despite the guest list trauma, Kim and her Klan looked radiant last night at the launch of their Kardashian Kollection clothes line in Los Angeles. Check out more in the gallery below!

Fashion designer Michael Kors married Lance LePere, his longtime boyfriend, on Dune Beach in Southampton, New York, on Tuesday. The Mayor of Southampton, Mark Epley officiated the private ceremony of which the Project Runway judge and happy groom said, “To marry someone as wonderful and special to me as Lance barefoot on a glorious beach is more than I could have dreamed of.” Congratulations, guys! The couple announced their plans to get married earlier this month right after same-sex marriage became legal in New York. No news on the honeymoon destination yet, but we’re sure it’s going to be some place fabulous!

Tara Reid is engaged. And now she’s married. It was that quick! Tara’s new husband is a Danish businessman called Michael Lillelund and they got hitched at our dream wedding destination — Greece!
The actress broke the news of her boyfriend putting a ring on it on her Twitter account writing, “I just got engaged!” Tara’s next tweet was, “Greece married!” If you look at the time-line of both tweets, they both say August 13. Talk about your quickie wedding, right? She surfaced as a newly-wed the next day (yesterday) writing, “Love in Greece…I am now a wife.” Congratulations, you two! It seems that it’s third time lucky for the 35-year-old actress. She was previously engaged to Carson Daly and internet entrepreneur Michael Axtmann, respectively, but broke it off with both of them.
2010′s American Idol is going off the market, folks! Lee DeWyze has gotten engaged to model Jonna Walsh, he tells People Magazine. The champion chanteur popped the question while sharing glasses of champaign on a private yacht in Disney World during a fire works show. What the hell, we thought stuff like that only happened in Full House specials! He’s got a romantic edge, that Lee DeWyze.
“I’m excited!” he tells People. “Jonna is a Disney freak. They were playing love songs on the boat and I got down on my knee and asked her. I had a speech prepared but it all went out the window so I just asked her. She started crying and I said, ‘Is that a yes?’” We’ll say probably. The couple, who met on the video shoot for his single “Sweet Serendipity” last fall, have set a date for fall of 2012. Maybe they can get Lady Gaga to perform the wedding?
