Lindsay Lohan’s Reasons For Not Paying Her Chateau Marmont Bill

Lindsay Lohan Makes Excuse For Not Paying Chateau Marmont

Yesterday we told you about Lindsay Lohan being banned from the Chateau Marmont until further notice for not paying her very hefty bill. A couple of things have happened since then. First, the Chateau Marmont is “horrified” that the letter from them to Lindsay leaked online and have issued a statement saying, “Chateau Marmont places guest privacy as a core value and upholds this privacy with paramount importance. After investigation, it appears that a private correspondence between Chateau Marmont’s general manager and Miss Lohan was leaked by a member of her entourage. We are as horrified, disappointed and troubled by this occurrence as Miss Lohan surely is. Obviously, this is a private matter between one of our guests and the hotel and we will continue to treat it as such.”

Second, TMZ reports that sources are saying Lindsay thought that the producers of Liz & Dick had agreed to pay for her stay at the hotel while she was filming the Lifetime movie. Apparently, she’s surprised that the bill is in her name and is supposedly sorting it out with the producers and will pay up if the situation is not rectified. The next bit of the story is that LiLo might have to do just that because new reports suggest that producers never agreed to pay for her hotel bill at all. Apparently, she was given a $5,000 advance against her paycheck so she could check in to the Chateau Marmont on her own steam, but that’s all there is to it. Let’s see what either party has to say now. She’s going to have a cough up a ton of money for this one!

Lindsay Lohan No Longer A Suspect In Jewelry Heist, But Now Banned From The Chateau Marmont

You know that saying, “When one door closes, another one opens”? In Lindsay Lohan‘s case, it’s the opposite, because doors keep slamming shut on her. Let’s recap a little. We reported yesterday that Lindsay and her assistant Gavin were being considered suspects in the theft of jewelry worth around $100,000 taken from their pal Sam Magid‘s Hollywood Hills house party a couple of days ago. The good news is that the two of them are now off the hook. A D.A.’s office spokesperson has told TMZ, “The District Attorney’s office received no evidence that any jewelry, including watches, was taken. The evidence presented to us was valued at $6,400 and included $3,000 in cash, four pairs of sunglasses, an iPod and keys to two cars and a house.” Wait, what? It was supposed to be $100,000 worth of stuff? Apparently, that figure never reached prosecutors. Basically, all those witnesses who claimed LiLo’s guilt are now unwilling to step forward, and Sam himself is not pinning the blame on Lindsay, so there is insufficient evidence against the actress and her assistant. Apparently, this Sam dude is in love with her, and TMZ also reports that he sent text messages to her to the effect of, “I officially told Detective Rodriguez you can’t take anything from me cause what’s mine is yours.”

So there you go. One problem solved. One would think that LiLo would go to the favorite haunt, the Chateau Marmont, to celebrate, right? Wrong. Because the famous hotel has barred her entry into the hotel and the restaurant. TMZ has published a letter written by the GM of the hotel addressed to Lindsay, which basically tells her that she cannot enter the premises until she pays off her very hefty hotel bill which runs to the tune of $46,350.04. The actress stayed at the hotel in June and July and still hasn’t anted up despite, as the letter states, “repeated attempts to resolve this pressing matter.” Read the letter here. It’s a work of art. The bill, though, is ridiculous. Pay up, Lindsay! Or is she too skint to cough up the cash?
