We’re not saying we can’t imagine Lindsay Lohan doing some serious damage if she wanted to; the woman’s got a lot of deep-seated rage, plus the speed and dexterity of an enraged spider monkey. However, as with all celebrity lawsuits, we’ll take reports that Betty Ford worker Dawn Holland was injured by Lohan, to the point of needing surgery, with a pinch of salt. After filing a lawsuit against the actress on Friday, Holland’s lawyer Owen McIntosh claims his client allegedly required surgical intervention after she developed De Quervain syndrome, a tendon injury, from Lohan twisting her wrist. The part we find dubious is that Holland’s hand would still connected to her arm at all. Seriously, Lindsay’s guns look like steel cables.
To be fair to both parties, Holland did report being injured soon after Lindsay Lohan’s Betty Ford fight with her, though criminal charges against Lohan were eventually dropped. Meanwhile Lindsay is denying reports that she lost her damn mind, drinking-wise, at a friend’s fete this weekend. “Love how going to a friends birthday turns into a slew of lies! grrr – oh well… happy sunday all,” Lindsay Lohan’s Twitter read last night. And if the rest of the planet is lucky, the only place Lohan growls at us will be on the Internet.

You can set the clock on your microwave by how frequently Lindsay Lohan gets into legal trouble. If this new lawsuit ever goes to court, the time will be approximately half-past crazy-cray. TMZ reports the suit stems from Lindsay Lohan’s Betty Ford incident last December, after which clinic employee Dawn Holland claimed a drunken Lohan man-handled her, lost her job for talking to the media and later issued a letter defending the actress. While battery charges were dropped by investigators, Holland is now seeking at least $1 million for “great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering,” which is what we’re going to get if we have to cover a new Lohan trial so soon.
Meanwhile, the judge overseeing Lohan’s probation for the jewelry store incident is reportedly peeved that the Gotti actress hasn’t finished more of her community service or signed up for counseling in the months following her sentencing. If rumors are true, maybe Lohan’s boyfriend Spencer Falls is too much of a distraction for Lilo to get right with the law? When will these male models learn that orange mocha frappucinnos aren’t the solution to everything?
Lindsay Lohan—wait, sorry, that’s just “Lindsay”, she dropped the Lohan—can rest easy knowing that at least one of her legal problems is now resolved. Back in December, Lindsay was accused of battery by Betty Ford Clinic worker Dawn Holland. Holland claimed at the time that a drunk Lindsay pushed and punched her, and threw her phone at Holland. Holland later issued a bizarre statement defending Lohan and dropped the criminal charges, but Lindsay faced probation violations stemming from the incident, which could have landed her in jail. Mind you, this is all completely unrelated to Lindsay’s stolen necklace fiasco, which is a separate matter.
Luckily for our heroine, the Riverside County DA’s office has decided to drop all charges against Lindsay because they don’t have enough evidence against her in the Betty Ford case, so Lohan is in the clear. One courtroom drama down, who knows how many more to go.

Every time we think Michael Lohan has outdone himself in the terrible parenting category, he goes ahead and takes it to another level. After today’s scandalous reports about Lindsay Lohan paying off rehab accuser Dawn Holland, it turns out that father Michael Lohan agreed to pay Holland $25,000, and is blabbing about every detail. “Dawn has had her attorney meet with me, negotiate with me and even propose a ‘deal’ with me, her lawyer and Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holly (Chapman) and while I agreed to Dawn Holland’s initial ‘number’, to procure financial stability due to getting fired, she got greedy and took it to another level,” Lohan admits. Michael must have been pretty impressed to have finally met his slimy match.
Michael still somehow believes that it’s Holland who is going to be injured by this exchange, not his actress daughter. “I believe that the courts and public will see, that this is a woman, who motives and intentions (sic), to set Lindsay up, so she could have financial gain,” Lohan explains. Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer denies she was involved in the sordid exchange. “I have never entered into any agreement with Ms. Holland or with any representative of Ms. Holland– on Ms. Lohan’s behalf or otherwise– for money to be paid to Ms. Holland, either directly or indirectly,” Shawn Chapman claims. We still don’t know if Lindsay knew about all these back-room deals, though once she finds out her father was involved, we doubt she’ll be surprised.
Let’s for a second try and forget Lindsay Lohan‘s new scandal. Apparently, Dawn Holland (of fired Betty Ford clinic fame) may have cut a secret deal worth $25,000 with Lindsay’s people concerning the criminal battery charges she had filed against the actress.
A source told RadarOnline, “Dawn agreed to a $25,000 payment from someone directly associated with Lohan’s camp.”Dawn wanted the amount paid upfront. But Lohan’s camp wanted to spread it out over a period of a few months, paying her in installments. That didn’t suit Dawn, so the parties then agreed, in principle, for Lindsay to participate in a sit-down television interview with Dawn.” The idea apparently, was that Dawn was going to sell the interview to media channels and make her cash. When this supposed deal didn’t work out, Dawn fired her lawyer Keith Davidson. What gives, people?
The good news is that no one is sure whether Lindsay was aware of this wheeling-dealing. We’d like to think she wasn’t because this photograph of Lindsay, shot by photographer Adam Secore, reminds us of the actress’ golden days. She took some time off from rehab 2 months ago to work with Secore on a series of photographs, and he commented, “Shooting Lindsay was inspirational for me as an artist, she’s so beautiful. I consider her a muse and a friend…” A shot will also be included in his Fight & Fable Show in Venice, Calif will February 15. We think she looks stunning in this tulle dress, and hope to see more and more of LiLo looking healthy and beautiful.

In a move that seems like it will almost certainly do more harm than good, former Betty Ford employee Dawn Holland issued a statement defending Lohan against accusations that Lindsay violated her parole during an altercation with Holland, even attempting to clarify that it was Lindsay who called 911 rather than the rehab technician herself. We don’t know if a vote of support from someone who violated patient confidentiality laws to gossip about Lindsay is necessarily something Lohan wants or needs. We guess it’s the thought that counts?
The statement, issued through Holland’s lawyer Keith Davidson, reads: “It is important to note that it was Ms. Lohan, and not Ms. Holland who called 911 on December 12th. Had Ms. Lohan not called 911 – this incident never would’ve been public knowledge, let alone criminally investigated. Ms Holland has long held that recovery is not always a pretty process and the workings of a recovery center have never been for the faint of heart. As a recovering addict herself, Ms. Holland is proud of Lindsay for making the always difficult voyage toward recovery. Had the interaction between these two ladies occurred in front of a police officer anywhere in this Country, no probation would’ve been violated, no arrests would’ve been made and certainly no criminal charges would have been filed. The recent reports of criminality and probation violations are much adieu about nothing.” What kind of police officers does Keith Davidson think are patrolling our streets? We’ve seen Cops; we imagine they would have pried the two shrieking women apart at least.
One claim that the statement doesn’t address is Holland’s assertion that Lindsay was visibly wasted during the altercation. In a statement today, Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley denied claims that Lohan drank or took drugs at all while in treatment. “I had numerous conversations with Betty Ford counselors and doctors over the course of Lindsay’s treatment there and it was never suggested by anyone that she ever drank or used drugs. Her discharge letter from the facility is totally consistent with that,” Chapman Holley claims. We honestly don’t know who to believe at this point: the lawyer being paid to defend Lindsay or the clinic employee who was paid to blab about her.

Move Lindsay Lohan wherever you want, but drama is going to find her. We already know Lindsay’s accused of criminal battery for pushing a Betty Ford Clinic worker, but that’s only the tip of the ice berg. According to TMZ, Dawn Holland filed a report that LiLo went loco after she was caught out after curfew. Holland says Lindsay “threw the phone…I threw up my left hand to block it and then she grabbed my right hand and tried to snatch the phone that I had up to my ear, then called me a ‘C –T B–H.” Holland’s been fired for talking about the alleged altercation to paparazzi, but responded, “The story was already way out there in the open before I spoke. If Lindsay is allowed to say, ‘Fire that b—,’ I should be able to defend myself.” Oddly enough, Holland was accused of assaulting her husband in 2008.
Though Holland’s insists that LiLo had been drinking because she could smell the booze of her breath, Lohan says Holland was physically abusive towards her, grabbing Lindsay’s arm and pushing her. In fact, Lindsay claims she wasn’t even partying with her roommates prior to the incident. Merely late from a hair appointment, Lindsay says she asked for a breathalyzer, but was refused by Holland. She also claims that there are witnesses and surveillance cameras that prove her story.
So who did it folks? Is Lindsay telling the truth? Who assaulted who? Was Lindsay really drinking again? We’ll just have to wait and see.
