Emmys Best Dressed: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler And Kat Dennings Work Their Curves

Let’s be real. Comedic geniuses and BFFs IRL Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have never looked better. Flaunting their figures in Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney frocks respectively, the pair looked confident, sexy and positively radiant. Whatever you’re doing, ladies, it’s working.

Other red carpet highlights included Kat Dennings‘ flawlessly foxy red-on-red look and Heidi Klum‘s doubly sky-high slits. Mad Men‘s Jessica Pare took a page from the Megan Draper fashionable playbook and rocked a custom Jason Wu black and white ensemble.

Honey Boo Boo Goes High Brow: Our Dream Cameos For Alana Holler

I consider myself a veteran Honey Boo Boo Child fan, frantically cutting together this montage the morning after her amazing, hysterical, breakout Toddlers & Tiaras episode. Since then, the Go-Go-Juiced sassafrass [legal, rarely-heard name: Alana Holler], along with her coupon-cutting mamma June and daddy Sugar Bear, have scored their own reality series that infamously garnered more viewers than the RNC and has spawned catchphrases like “You Betta Redneckognize!” In light of the show’s success, Honey Boo Boo’s veering more and more into the mainstream with a recent, hilarious interview on Anderson Live and a sketch featured on SNL‘s Weekend Update, starring Vanessa Bayer and Bobby Moynihan.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, this family isn’t going anywhere. The only natural step is a featured role for Boo Boo on one of television’s hottest Emmy-nominated shows. Right? No? Whatever, let us dream.

Show: Downton Abbey
Character Summary: Lady Mary enters the Big Sister program and is assigned to Alana, or as she will be known on the show, “Lady Boo Boo.”

Show: Homeland
Character Summary: Alana and her belly become a key element in Carrie Mathison’s case against Brody.

Max Greenfield Is Already Planning Out His Emmy Awards Outfit With Zooey Deschanel

Max Greenfield, Emmy Nomination, Do Something Awards Host

Hands up if your favorite character on New Girl is Schmidt. All I’m seeing right now are, like, a million hands up in the air, so I’m guessing I’m in really good company. I was also very pleasantly surprised at the Emmy nominations list announced yesterday. Yeah, there were a few snubs, but on the whole, it was a big fat yay because plenty of my favorite shows and actors were given props.  Of this list, high up on my personal high-fives is Max Greenfield, aka Schmidt, who I adore akin to the self-loathing Cece (Hannah Simone) feels for getting it on with him. (Although, I am first and foremost a proud, card-holding member of the Cumberbitches.) Max and Zooey Deschanel have both been given nods for their series and the news is made doubly awesome since the actor and his fellow “men of New Girl”  — Jake Johnson and Lamorne Morris —  are also hosting the VH1 Do Something! Awards, which will air on VH1 on Tuesday, August 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Vulture got him on the phone to congratulate him about the nomination and he’s already way ahead of the pack, in terms of awards show pre-gaming. “Zooey I think e-mailed me minutes after it happened, and we immediately started to coordinate what we’re going to wear,” he joked. And he’s not taking any chances with his outfit, either, adding, “… I already e-mailed Damian Lewis and Michael C. Hall. I want to make sure that I don’t show up in the same outfit. How embarrassing. I don’t want to wear the same color, you know what I mean? I want to make sure that it’s a memorable moment on the red carpet for me.” Hah! Good luck, Schmidty! We’ll be bringing you all the action from both awards shows, so you won’t miss a thing.

TheFABLife’s 50 Hottest Fashion Moments Of 2010

Is it just us, or do there seem to be more and more televised award shows each year? That means one thing (and it has nothing to do with awards)—there’s more red carpet fashion than ever. Check out who made our cut for best dressed celebs of 2010 in the gallery below—including just about everyone from Mad Men, a very GOOP-y celeb we love to hate, and the most famous half-vampire couple ever.

The International Emmy Awards: A Who’s Who Of “Why Them?”

Before we discuss the absolute randomness of just who attended the International Emmy Awards last night in New York, let’s first discuss how amazing an un-Peggy-Olsen-like Elisabeth Moss looked last night at the ceremony. The actress is a far cry from her dowdy copywriter self on Mad Men and we love the new long hair. We really can’t get over how gorgeous she is here.

So while it makes sense for Moss, star of an Emmy-winning program, to attend the international version of the awards, some of the other attendees are a curiosity. Jason Priestley served as the evening’s host for starters, which is weird, and Peter Facinelli and Melissa Joan Hart were presenters. Sure, they’re all stars in their own Twilight-y, Melissa And Joey-ish ways, but what a random crowd. Simon Cowell was also on hand to receive the International Emmy Directorate Award. For a full list of winners, check out the International Emmys site, and for more photos of the eclectic group that gathered, check out our gallery below.

And The Emmy Nomination Goes To…

Part of our job requires us to watch TV. A lot of TV. So we’re excited by the announcement of the 2010 Emmy nominations this morning, although we’re disappointed too, there are a lot of shows we feel are underrepresented (Community, How I Met Your Mother), while that force of nature that we call Glee (ugh, don’t get us started on Glee) seems to have been nominated in every category possible. Joel McHale and Sofia Vergara announced the nominees, check out the list after the jump and tell us what you think. Are there shows that weren’t nominated that should have been? Any predictions for winners? Let us know in the comments!

Sarah Silverman: Jimmy Kimmel “Broke My Heart”

Sarah Silverman knew what she was doing when dropped a surprise thank you to ex-boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel while accepting the Best Original Music And Lyrics Emmy for “I’m F*cking Matt Damon” at the Creative Arts ceremony on Saturday (last year, the award went to Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake‘s “Dick In A Box”—bleeps get you Emmys, folks).

Matt Damon, I’m going to be honest, had very little to do with this being popular. And the person for who this video was made, Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart, oops … who… will always have a place in my heart.

Was she just making a joke, or was there a little post-split catharsis involved? Don’t worry, Sarah. There are a lot of bright, charming, funny guys who would be happy to date you—and they don’t look like rejects from Swingers 2: Swing Harder.

Check out pics of Sarah and other stars at the ceremony in the gallery below.
