Adam Lambert Discusses His Style Shift From “Lisa Frank Unicorn” To “Classic With An Edge”
What can I say about Adam Lambert that you don’t already know? He is absolutely delightful, fun to talk to, and is wonderfully humble despite being mega-talented. I arrived at our interview in Beverly Hills this week to find Adam decked out in an all-black ensemble, the only color popping from his bright blue shoes. The singer, whose new album Trespassing drops mid-March, is well known for his eccentric fashion taste, but I couldn’t help but notice that his outfit was a bit on the subdued side. Naturally, I had to ask about his current sartorial mood.
“I think what you’re drawn to fashion-wise has to do with where you are emotionally and what you’re exploring in your life,” said Adam. “I think there was a point where, two years ago, in the middle of my first album, where it was all so ridiculous. And I was doing that on purpose. I was having so much fun being completely over the top. And that felt good, and that was what I wanted to express at the time.”
“I wanted to put feathers on and be this kind of glam-rock, glitter fantasy Lisa Frank unicorn,” he said of that time in his life. “I was kind of making a statement and being extra bold on purpose.”
Adam described his current fashion phase as “a little more streamlined, in my life too.” Said the singer: “I’m drawn to clothes that are just a bit more classic with an edge. Something that’s still weird and special; but I’m into a more geometric, darker [look].”
“But who knows,” he said with smile, “I may be wearing neon yellow tomorrow.”

The 2012 Oscar nominations were announced bright and early this morning, kicking off the countdown to the biggest night in Hollywood! But performances aren’t the only thing being judged at the Academy Awards. Fans and trend-spotters scrutinize every little thing that the stars wear, so A-Listers make sure to don their most stylish and classy duds for their stroll across the ultimate red carpet.
However, the rules are a little different over at the AVN Awards. The Oscars of Adult Entertainment took place over the weekend in Las Vegas, and some of the biggest names in porn busted out their most bust baring outfits. Outrageous style must have been part of the dress code! Check out the gallery below to see some of the craziest looks from the AVN red carpet. We have a funny feeling you won’t be seeing these dresses at the Oscars…

Rihanna Gets Super Sexy In Armani Ads, With And Without Pants
It’s no surprise that Rihanna posed for her new Armani print ads after stripping down to her lingerie. We expect no less from our rarely shy Riri. But what is jarring is that she also was snapped wearing pants! The singer posed for Armani in equally steamy pics last September, donning a blonde wig and no pants. The fashion brand must have somehow coached her through her well-documented fear of trousers. And we gotta say, it’s a good look! Rihanna might have missed her calling as a Levi’s model. Check out more sexy pix of her with (and without) in the gallery below!

Elle Fanning: On Being A Teen Fashion Icon And Working With Robert Pattinson One Day

Elle Fanning’s Rodarte gown at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards fit her personality perfectly — playful and light, yet totally glam. I chatted with the Super 8 actress about her love of fashion and her growing reputation as a style icon. “I’ve always loved clothes ever since I was little,” she told me, adding that she’s “really close” with Rodarte designers Laura and Kate Mulleavey. Elle, who was nominated for Best Young Actor/Actress, was giddy when discussing her status. “I look up to so many people in fashion,” she said, “so it’s funny for people to say that I’m a fashion icon.”
Elle’s big sister, Dakota, has outed her as a serious Robert Pattinson fan, so I had to ask her about maybe one day working with the Twilight star. “I would love that!” said Elle. “My sister said he was so nice, and I got to meet him at the premiere. That would be fun!” she said with a smile. Let’s make it happen, Hollywood!

Posing 101 With Lea Michele: 22 Of Her Best Red Carpet Moves
After scrolling through 91 pages of photos (yes, really) of Lea Michele we can safely say this: Lea Michele for ALL the red carpet posing awards. This woman is a master, a professional, an icon of the carpet who has risen through the ranks in less than two years. What took Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie and Beyonce years to craft has taken this starlet months, and dare we say – she may just outshine them all. Lea’s obvious love of the spotlight (she was a Broadway performer before Gleeking out, after all) is enhanced by an adorable bod and amazing outfit picks by her stylist. She’s also trained in the art of contortion and knows how to twist and turn her body in such a way that she looks like a lightening bolt dressed in a Marchesa gown. But what’s most impressive is that Lea has a whole playbook of poses at her disposal! While some actresses can knock out on or two signature moves, Ms. Michele has no less than 22 in her tiny pocket.

Who Was Best Dressed At The Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows Premiere?
OK, some of us have been slacking on our movie news homework and had no idea that Sherlock Holmes: A Game af Shadows was coming out so soon. Perhaps Twilight has been hogging the attention. But our favorite detective is back, and the movie premiered yesterday at the Village Theatre in L.A. Three ladies in particular really stepped it up on the very chic carpet. Rachel McAdams — who reprises her role in this second installment of Guy Ritchie’s franchise — leads the list. She wore this beautiful, long-sleeved, silver Marchesa dress with Christian Louboutin heels. Amber Heard, who’s had the best sartorial year ever, kept it simple and stylish with a white tailored shirt and black pants. Loose Marcel waves and red lips completed the look. Noomi Rapace , who also stars in the film, chose the same color palette as Rachel, only with a different silhouette. All three are so glam and have got premiere wear down to an art.
We’re leaning towards Noomi’s dress as our favorite, but your input could totally change our minds. Let us know what you’re thinking in the comments below. The gallery has full length pictures if you want to take a closer look, plus we’ve included a completely gratuitous photograph of Robert Downey Jr. hamming it up for the cameras.
Lea Michele Sparkles, Stars Shine On New Year’s Eve Red Carpet
Lea Michele nailed it at the world premiere of New Year’s Eve in L.A. She picked this Valentino gown with Christian Louboutin shoes and Neil Lane jewels and hasn’t made one bad decision from head to toe. While she looked elegant, she couldn’t resist hamming it up with Ashton Kutcher (who really needs a haircut) on the red carpet, as you can see above. Looking a lot more streamlined in his suit was Zac Efron, who doesn’t seem to have a bad angle.
We’ve always loved Michelle Pfeiffer whose 53-year-old body looked amazing in a purple Dolce & Gabbana dress, but we aren’t too sure of the matchy-matchy purple pumps that went with the outfit. Wearing the same designer was Katherine Heigl, and while she looked good in her strapless dress, that hair took the attention away. We’re not sure many people can pull off a bouffant bob. Take note, Katy. Also seen were Hilary Swank in a navy, lacy Elie Saab dress, Fergie who piled on the sparkles in Monique Lhuillier and Sofia Vergara in a corseted black sexpot number. Take a look in our gallery below.

Stacy Keibler Is One Tall Drink Of Water In Black
Hello, Stacy Keibler. Dating George Clooney has given the actress/model/wrestler an extra glow, and she’s looking better than she ever has. Stacy was at an event in Munich on Saturday, and she rocked up wearing this simple black, round-necked Herve L. Leroux
gown with a slit and gorgeous, strappy Giuseppe Zanotti Design stilettos. It’s understated yet sexy. And just FYI — she’s also got on 80 carat Chopard earrings. We think she looks just ace and every progressive appearance just gets better and better. This one should remind her to keep it simple, because it’s working! Do you like Stacy’s pared down appearance?
