Gossip Girl fans — Jessica Szohr is now on Twitter! The actress may not have a verified account just yet because she just joined, but she did tweet this photo (pictured above), saying, “See it’s really me!!! Xx jess.” Is she voguing in that shot? She looks like she’s voguing, right? Girlfriend sure has a bunch of admirers because she’s crossed the 13,000 follower mark in 13 hours. Who knew so many people loved her character Vanessa so much, huh?
Celeb pals have also done their bit in spreading the news. Vanessa’s friend Brittany Snow tweeted, “Welcome to twitter an ol’ friend & one of the coolest chicks I know @iamjessicaszohr xo.” She’s retweeting like it’s going out of style, so if you’re a Jess fan, now’s the time to get in touch! Especially since her character’s off the show now. *Tear*.

Let us burn a pleather garter belt in memorium: according to her interview in Elle, Taylor Momsen quit acting, unless you consider “acting like every parent’s waking nightmare” to be part of the craft. “I quit acting, actually,” the teenager-turned-front woman told the magazine. “I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.” How is this girl living out everyone’s high school fantasy? 15-year-old us is burning with jealousy! To be fair, 15-year-old us also thought she was going to marry both Joshua Jackson and James Van Der Beek, so what did that little dweeb know?
Having bailed after five seasons as GG‘s Little Jenny, Momsen is currently touring Japan with her band Pretty Reckless. While there she can expose an entirely new continent to her special brand of “stripper boots” and audience make-outs, which even our 15-year-old self would find a little much.
How hot is Elizabeth Hurley in that red dress? Chace Crawford‘s character, Nate Archibald, certainly seems to think so as he pulls Liz’s character Diana Payne aside in what seems to be a pretty steamy encounter.  They’re shooting on location in New York City, and we can’t wait for the new season, guys! But what we really want to know is if this scene is indicative of a larger Diana-Nate storyline? Nate’s still single at the end of season 4, and since he’s always down for a hook-up, it could very well be an option. Remember, Liz’s character is supposed to be a “ sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with…” Yeah, Nate’s totally going to try get some.
Elizabeth Hurley on Gossip Girl, season 5? Do we like this news? Will her posh-actress accent end up bugging us (most likely, yes)? We’re going to be borderline with our reactions at the moment. She may be glorious to look at it, but can she act?
Liz’s character Diana Payne will appear in multiple episodes and as executive producers, Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran, say, she’s “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with. Diana’s entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters – including, and especially Gossip Girl herself.” If only you could see how excited we are while we type this. We’re still not too sure about Liz, though. Help us make up our minds?

The enigma of birthday boy Ed Westwick‘s off-the-set wardrobe choices resurfaces again and again in the shadow of hailed Gossip Girl fashion limelight. Let loose from the confines of Chuck Bass suit-dom, Mr. Westwick opts for deep, nearly belly-button baring V-necks and continues to be relentless with plaids we’ve never seen on a Scottish bagpiper. Poor Blair Waldorf is cringing. While it’d seemingly be a good idea for Ed to take a cue from his more polished Gossip Girl character, his new-found affinity for ascots may prove otherwise.
Spotted: Ed Westwick attempting (failing) to channel his TV character. To ring in Ed’s 24th b-day, check out these 24 photos of him blurring the line between real life and Chuck Bass.

As temperatures rise and blockbusters flood the movie theaters, prepare to swim in celebs who became household names via the boob tube. While some have since established themselves as movie stars, we grew to love them on a weekly basis from our couches.
A brunette version of Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively will play leading lady opposite Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern. Mad Men‘s January Jones will trade her 60s housewife getup for a shimmery push-up bra for her role as Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class. Ever the uptight but lovable nerd, The Office‘s Ed Helms will reprise his role in The Wolfpack in The Hangover: Part II. This summer’s token fluffy comedy Monte Carlo features plenty of TV’s hottest stars such as Glee‘s Cory Monteith, GG‘s Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy, and Wizards of Waverly Place‘s Selena Gomez.
Before the heat and humidity makes us all flee to the movie theaters for relief, check out what TV stars to keep an eye out for in this summer’s biggest flicks.

While few would be shocked to learn Taylor Momsen will not be coming back for Season 5 of Gossip Girl next year (she was barely in season 4), it may be a surprise to some that Jessica Szohr is leaving the show as well (though, if you’re still watching, you already know Vanessa Abrams will be studying abroad next year). Gee, with Dan Humphrey’s little sister Jenny and his alleged “best friend” Vanessa away, who will he try to make feel like crap instead? Answer: everybody else—as Blair, Serena, Chuck and Nate will remain, along with some new blood.
Momsen and Szohr—who respectively have a music and movie careers to focus on—will still be welcome to return as guest stars. While this may be good news for fans of Jenny and Vanessa, we have a feeling there are more prime-time soap fans who wish one would suffer an untimely demise…those always make for a nice season finale.
William Baldwin may be getting lots of TV work these days, but he’s still no Alec Baldwin—as proven by the fact that his Gossip Girl daughter, Blake Lively, will be playing Alec’s wife in an upcoming movie. “What really breaks my heart is that she’s doing a movie with my brother, Alec—and she’s playing my brother Alec’s wife,” he told E!. “I said to her, ‘I get to play your father and my brother Alec gets to play your husband? Where’s the justice in that?’ And she giggles and says, ‘That would make you Alec’s father-in-law.’” Don’t forget that Alec is the oldest of the four Baldwin boys, with William about 5 years younger than the 30 Rock star.
“Oh great, that’s exactly what my ego needed,” he laughed. “You put grandpa out to pasture during hiatus and go run off and do a movie with my brother Alec and you get to play his wife. Everything regarding the Oscars, movies and 30 Rock, I’m thrilled…[Alec] playing [her] husband where I’m playing her father, I’m not thrilled.” Especially since that means Alec’s allowed to look down when leggy Blake flaunts her cleavage.
