In a new, thoroughly exhausting interview, Taylor Momsen‘s apathetic teen “whatever”-ness comes out in full force. Momsen’s really working her f*ck-all persona lately, what with her recent quote about being too busy to think about Haiti, and now in this interview in the Times Online she tells parents who don’t like her style to eff off.
“To be honest. I don’t f***ing care. I didn’t get into this to be a role model. So I’m sorry if I’m influencing your kids in a way that you don’t like, but I can’t be responsible for their actions. I don’t care,” Momsen said. We don’t know if you caught what she was saying, but the gist is that she doesn’t care.
Momsen also discussed a famous role she didn’t accept, that of Hannah Montana. But again, if you think she cares about not being the Disney Channel’s biggest star, think again. “Honestly, if I’d have ended up as Hannah Montana, I don’t know if the show would have gone as well. I probably would have told them all to go f*** themselves by the time I hit 11. And I don’t know how that would have gone down. It’s great for Miley, but I really like where I am right now and I feel really fortunate to be able to really be myself.”
Really? You really think that at 11 you’d be telling people to f*** off? What a charming child you must have been. We are so looking forward to the day when adult Taylor, dressed in her best slacks and sensible cardigan, looks back on these faux-badass quotes and laughs at how obnoxious she sounds. ‘Cause that’s what we’re doing right now. Taylor Momsen is a busy 16-year-old. She’s filming “Gossip Girl,” recording her Pretty Reckless album, applying eyeliner, and thinking up new ways to rebel against her parents. How can we expect her to think about, let alone care about, devastating natural disasters?!
While promoting her new fragrance at Victoria’s Secret last night, she was asked by OK! if she had plans to follow the lead of Angelina Jolie, Wyclef Jean, or George Clooney in helping those affected by this week’s 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Haiti. The apparently vacant-headed Momsen replied “Um, right now I’m trying to just finish my record and getting through the last season of Gossip Girl for right now. So not so much thinking about that.” Great role model for young girls everywhere. [Source: OK!; Photo: Splash News Online]
Hope for Haiti, a global Haiti fundraising telethon will air live and commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, BET, CNN, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1, AND CMT on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT, with a rebroadcast for West Coast audiences at 8:00 p.m. PT.
Resident good-girl-gone-bad of “Gossip Girl” Taylor Momsen has grown-up too fast. While we’re not denying that we’re a bit jealous of those mile-long legs, we just wish she’d cover them up for another couple years.
Since Momsen hit it big as Jenny Humphrey at the age of 14, her skirts have been shrinking as her necklines lower. Her wardrobe of garter belts, fishnets, and lingerie-inspired dresses would make most parents of teenagers suffer a heart attack. This begs the question…where are the Momsen parents?

Sebastian Stan better be pretty confident in his relationship with “Gossip Girl” hottie Leighton Meester, because judging by quotes she’s made about relationships, we’d be a bit scared, ourselves. In an interview with UK Glamour, Leighton muses on the nature of love and sex. And it’s fairly bleak.
“I always resist falling in love. My problem is, I lose interest…every time I’ve fallen in love, it’s just momentary,” she says, adding later that, “If I don’t see an end that’s nice. Because I always see an end…Honestly, I’ve hated every boyfriend I’ve had.” (Well, maybe the one that did that sex tape, we’d understand.) And Leighton, would you consider yourself a good girlfriend? “I don’t know. It’s not really the goal of my existence.” Cheer up, love! There’s being a realist, and then there’s being a deadly pessimistic pragmatist, no? [Photo: Getty Images]
While Gossip Girl may not be Emmy-worthy, its stars showed up looking as glamorous as any nominee. Though Blake Lively‘s braid could’ve looked more polished, her body looked bangin’ in a clingy bright red Versace. Leighton Meester looked as classy as her GG character in an all-white draped dress with dramatic makeup. The co-stars have totally different senses of style… which one looked more ravishing on the red carpet? [Photos: Getty Images]
The rule of television is generally, “When seeking ratings, have a gay kiss.” This rule usually applies more to women than men (for some reason people love watching beautiful women kiss, even if they aren’t lesbians. Weird, right?) but this season on “Gossip Girl,” the tables are turning. Stop reading now if you don’t want spoilers.
The plot of episode six this season involves yet more deception and lies coming from Blair Waldorf, who tells her boyfriend Chuck Bass, played by Ed Westwick, to flirt with one of Blair’s NYU classmates. The flirtation escalates and Ed and his new co-star, Neal Bledsoe, end up in a lip lock. Series creator Josh Schwartz has delved into gay territory before (Marissa Cooper went lesbian for a good two weeks on The O.C.) so now we’re left to wonder…who, on Schwartz’ final series “Chuck,” is going to seek out a same-sex smooch? Just like Blair Waldorf, Leighton Meester is not one to be outdone. Meester was spending the past weekend in East Hampton, NY and went to Phillippe to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, there was another birthday celebration happening at the restaurant, so when it came time for cake, Meester’s group tried to out-sing the competition.
A source at the restaurant says, “She was rallying her friends to out-scream the ‘Happy Birthday’ song of a nearby table of girls. Both tables started screaming obnoxiously back and forth at one another until Leighton finally stood up on the table and started dancing.” No biggie, we always see people climbing on tables and acting crazy at the restaurants where we dine (Times Square McDonald’s).
No word on who won the sing-off, but Meester does sing as a side job so she had a slight advantage. [Photo: GettyImages]
Leighton Meester got it very wrong when she sported this cutout Christopher Kane dress at a screening of Spread hosted by Gotham and Hamptons magazine in East Hampton, New York on Saturday. Even though she accessorized with cool Giuseppe Zanotti heels and a hot Louis Vuitton clutch, her accessories could not redeem her. This dress looks like she came in from the beach, left her bikini top on, and threw a matching cover-up over it to go out to an event. Luckily it looks like this was just a little style snafu, as the Gossip Girl star redeemed herself with her chic Louis Vuitton dress at the Teen Choice Awards, but had she not done that, we would seriously be concerned for the state of her fashion sense. Taylor Momsen recently told Teen Vogue that, “I would eat a boy my age alive.” She continued, “I’ve had lots of relationships. Boys are so much less mature than girls as it is. There’s just no way.” Thus, it seems only fitting that a lady who dates older men should have a mature birthday party, and so the Gossip Girl diva-lette celebrated her 16th birthday in big girl style: performing with her band at the Hiro Ballroom in NYC.
Momsen rocked out in a pink dress, black bra, some rosary beads, and enough eye liner to make Pete Wentz jealous. She sang ten songs with her band, the Pretty Reckless, but looked like she was imitating Courtney Love at karaoke. Anyhoo, happy 16th. Let’s home she enjoyed noshing on cake – and a boy or two. It’s a tough summer for Ed Westwick and his relationships. First, roomie Chace Crawford calls Ed a slob and moves out, and now the rumor is that he and girlfriend Jessica Szohr are having some issues too. Most recently, Ed and Jessica were set to host a party at the Shrine nightclub at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Casino, but contrary to the ad campaign Ed did not, in fact, meet her at Foxwoods.
Westwick never showed, fueling rumors that the pair were fighting. Worse still, Ed stood her up for a Sting concert at the casino this weekend. Sad. Nothing’s worse than crying alone while listening to “Fields of Gold” – our high school selves speak from experience on that one. [Photo: GettyImages]
