Chris Brown is returning to the scene of the crime, so to speak. The singer is scheduled to perform at the Grammys on Sunday, February 12, says a source, three years after he assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna following a pre-Grammy party in 2009. He hasn’t attended the event since, but that changes this year. Interestingly enough, RiRi is on the lineup to hit the stage too. It wouldn’t be the first time the two cross paths, however, as they’ve been spotted at the same nightclubs on a couple of occasions this year. Comments? Thoughts? It’s still a bit of a raw subject, isn’t it?

You know the old saying, “If you like it, then you should put a ring on it”? Well, hate to inform you but that’s so last decade, y’all. When VH1’s own Janell Snowden caught up with Glee stars Kevin McHale and Matthew Morrison on the red carpet of the Grammys last night, we got the firsthand scoop that something a little more kinky has emerged on the scene in 2011.
In case you missed his outfit last night, McHale — who you’ll know as the wheelchair-bound Artie Abrams on America’s hottest TV show — was wearing a holster-ish accessory over his shoulders. “It’s a little S&M meets James Bond,” he explained to Janell. “I’m promoting Rihanna’s new single [“S&M”]. I just need to see her and tell her we can put a leash on it.” Hi-yo!
This year’s Grammy Awards were very good to Lady Antebellum and Arcade Fire (winners of Song/Record of the Year and Album Of The Year, respectively). They were not, however, quite as good to the ten people that you’ll see below. Whereas the likes of Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez scored high in our gallery of the Top 15 Sexiest Grammy Awards outfits, we had some reservations about some of the fashion choices made by Lady Gaga, Kate Hudson, Cee Lo Green, Lenny Kravitz and more this evening. Sure, some of these outfits weren’t meant to be taken seriously (hi Cee Lo!), but they still had us scratching our heads and asking ourselves, “WTF?!?”

Is it just us, or do there seem to be more and more televised award shows each year? That means one thing (and it has nothing to do with awards)—there’s more red carpet fashion than ever. When we compiled our list of favorite fashion moments from 2010, we had quite a crop to choose from. Gone are the days where the only shows worth mentioning were the Emmys, Grammys and Oscars. This year’s style compilation comes to you courtesy of the Creative Arts Emmys, the SAG Awards, and even the ESPYs. Oh, and a couple dozen film premieres, too. Check out who made our cut for best dressed celebs of 2010 in the gallery below—including just about everyone from Mad Men, a very GOOP-y celeb we love to hate, and the most famous half-vampire couple ever.

It’s that time of the year already! The 53rd annual Grammy nominations (for 2011) were announced last night and it’s safe to say that Eminem made a clean sweep popping up in 10 categories. Love the Way you Lie is up for Song and Record of the Tear while Recovery has received nominations for Album and Rap Album of the Year. Just for a quick memory jog, remember who was a big winner at last year’s Grammys? Beyonce!
Other big nominees this year include Bruno Mars with seven nominations, and Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and Lady Antebellum with six each. John Legend and B.o.B follow closely with five. Katy Perry, who’s performing for VH1 Divas Salute the Troops (Sunday, Dec. 5, at 9/8c), scored four nominations, including one for Album of the Year for Teenage Dream.
What’s your take on the nominees this year? Did anyone get left out? How many categories will Eminem win? Will Cee Lo get Song of the Year for the genius F— You? Will Gaga’s Fame Monster kick out the other monster albums? Will Justin Bieber get Best New Artist (we love Biebs, but our vote goes to Florence and the Machine).

We knew just by looking at Redfoo and Sky Blu‘s out-there style that they’re the type of guys who don’t easily blush. But after our friend Janell Snowden called attention to Redfoo’s “hairy ass” at last night’s Grammy Awards, we’re starting to think he’s incapable of feeling embarassed at all. Responding to the discovery, the LMFAO member said: “What am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to be shavin’ that? I’m an animal.”
LMFAO’s Party Rock was beat out for Best Electronic/Dance Album by Lady Gaga‘s The Fame, but the duo will continue to stay visible as they tour with The Black Eyed Peas through April 4. If you want to see these hairy party animals live, now’s your chance.
Vibrant colors and little black dresses were sparse on the red carpet at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Though Rihanna and Carrie Underwood shined in bright white, the night was all about shimmery nudes. Katy Perry flaunted a bare back in an Indian-inspired Zac Posen gown, while Beyonce va va voom’d in a hip-hugging zippered dress. Keri Hilson radiated classic beauty in a mermaid-cut Dolce and Gabbana. Heidi Klum looked predictably flawless in a low-cut glittery number. The neutral color scheme could have lead to quite a “meh” night of fashion, but the abundance of curves more than made up for the lack of purples, reds, and blues. [Photos: Getty Images]
Check out Adam Lambert, Mary J. Blige, Taylor Swift, and more of music’s hottest below.
Lady Gaga never bores on the fashion front. The outrageous pop star du jour showed up to the 2010 Grammy Awards in a custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive gown, glittery gravity-defying heels, and what appears to be a yellow wig. Rumored to be opening the show with Elton John, we’re dying to see what she’ll wear on stage. We expect nothing less than flames, blood, and alien-inspired leotards.
Nominated for five Grammys, Gaga has already won two tonight; Best Electronic/Dance Album for “The Fame” and Best Dance Recording for “Poker Face.” Earlier today she tweeted “We won two grammy’s already little monsters + I dedicate them to u!” [Photos: Getty Images]
The party has arrived! Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift can’t hold a candle to the star power of “Jersey Shore” Guidette Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. The pint-sized breakout star arrived early to the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards to cover the arrivals for MTV News. Always on the prowl for a good time, a good man, and some worthy poofs, Snooks may be the most entertaining red carpet correspondent ever. [Photos: Getty Images]
What a difference a year makes. Last year, Clive Davis‘ annual pre-Grammy bash was Rihanna‘s prelude to a horrific night of domestic violence with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. It has since been a year of ups and downs for the stunning pop star, but thankfully she has emerged a stronger woman, and we can now shamelessly shred her fashion choices. So let’s get to it.
Though it’s impossible for RiRi’s face to look anything but gorgeous, it was hidden behind that veil of aqua tulle! The monstrously starched sleeve resembled a sea sponge and completely distracted from her natural beauty. We’re hoping she opts for something more simplistic and flattering at tonight’s main event.
Despite her questionable ensemble, Rihanna seemed to have a good time at the party sharing laughs with pal Katy Perry and her fiance Russell Brand. She also hung out with Usher, Fergie, and Taylor Swift, and Ciara, who hilariously coordinated in an equally-oversized outfit. [Photo: Getty Images]
