Jay-Z Embarrassed By Beyonce’s Grammy Shout-Out

Jay-Z may have an Empire state of mind, but he’s still a little squeamish when it comes to the heart. Beyonce revealed to Access Hollywood that the rapper-CEO was taken aback when she personally thanked him for love and support while accepting a Grammy at last weekend’s ceremony. “He was shocked!” she explained. “He was just like, ‘What did you say?’ I was just like, ‘What did I just do? No, I didn’t just say that,’ I was so happy I could have said anything.” Guys, guys, it’s not like she pulled a Kirstie Alley and thanked him for “giving me the big one” or anything. Lots of people thank their spouses for love and support. It doesn’t mean Jay-Z is a softie! You can be king of the streets and love your wife too.

Besides, if Jay has anything to be embarrassed about, it’s what he said to her after the show. “He said you have six Grammys and you smell good,” she told the reporter. Um, wow. That’s some debonair s— right there, Hova. “You have Grammy, you smell good, me like you.” And they say romance grows stale after marriage.

Katy Perry: Google Alerts Ruined Russell’s Proposal

Looks like we weren’t the only people who saw Katy Perry‘s engagement coming. The singer has confessed that online reports preceding Russell Brand‘s New Year’s eve wedding proposal kind of spoiled the surprise for her. “Unfortunately, I still Google myself sometimes, I saw it on Google alerts,” she said at Clive Davis‘ pre-Grammy party. “I’m going to be honest.” It sounds like the British comedian still found a way to sweep her off her feet, though. “There was an elephant involved. We were on an elephant just before it. We were in India, It was at midnight, and it is not a good idea to be on the back of an elephant during a fireworks display.” It also might not be a good idea for two sex-crazed stars to plan marriage less than six months after they started dating, but why spoil the fun?

Any disappointment about us squealers appeared long gone this weekend, with Katy and Russell living it up at Grammy pre and and post parties as Perry filled her Twitter with praise of Pink, photos of pals Adam Lambert and Rihanna, and even a shot with to Jersey Shore‘s own Snooki…who may or may not have known what was happening. LMFAO’s Redfoo Defends His Hairy Ass At The Grammys

We knew just by looking at Redfoo and Sky Blu‘s out-there style that they’re the type of guys who don’t easily blush. But after our friend Janell Snowden called attention to Redfoo’s “hairy ass” at last night’s Grammy Awards, we’re starting to think he’s incapable of feeling embarassed at all. Responding to the discovery, the LMFAO member said: “What am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to be shavin’ that? I’m an animal.”

LMFAO’s Party Rock was beat out for Best Electronic/Dance Album by Lady Gaga‘s The Fame, but the duo will continue to stay visible as they tour with The Black Eyed Peas through April 4. If you want to see these hairy party animals live, now’s your chance.

When In Rome‘s Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are getting married! “Yes they are engaged,” a rep told People. “[It happened] over the holidays.” Wow, that long ago? Must have been hard for Bell to pose ringless and apart from her fiancee on the red carpet at their Rome‘s premiere last week. Were they keeping mum out of professional courtesy? Maybe someone thought it’d be distracting for fans to know one of Bell’s unwelcome suitors in the film had already locked that down. Not that their relationship was a secret after paps caught them grappling underwater on a Hawaiian vacation in 2008.

With their movie’s crucial first weekend out of the way, Bell was free to sport her ring while giving a Grammy to Taylor Swift last night. Take a look at the stone in the gallery below.

Vibrant colors and little black dresses were sparse on the red carpet at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Though Rihanna and Carrie Underwood shined in bright white, the night was all about shimmery nudes. Katy Perry flaunted a bare back in an Indian-inspired Zac Posen gown, while Beyonce va va voom’d in a hip-hugging zippered dress. Keri Hilson radiated classic beauty in a mermaid-cut Dolce and Gabbana. Heidi Klum looked predictably flawless in a low-cut glittery number. The neutral color scheme could have lead to quite a “meh” night of fashion, but the abundance of curves more than made up for the lack of purples, reds, and blues. [Photos: Getty Images]

Galactic Gaga Hits The Grammys

Lady Gaga never bores on the fashion front. The outrageous pop star du jour showed up to the 2010 Grammy Awards in a custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive gown, glittery gravity-defying heels, and what appears to be a yellow wig. Rumored to be opening the show with Elton John, we’re dying to see what she’ll wear on stage. We expect nothing less than flames, blood, and alien-inspired leotards.

Rihanna Poofs The Pre-Grammy Party

What a difference a year makes. Last year, Clive Davis‘ annual pre-Grammy bash was Rihanna‘s prelude to a horrific night of domestic violence with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. It has since been a year of ups and downs for the stunning pop star, but thankfully she has emerged a stronger woman, and we can now shamelessly shred her fashion choices. So let’s get to it.

Though it’s impossible for RiRi’s face to look anything but gorgeous, it was hidden behind that veil of aqua tulle! The monstrously starched sleeve resembled a sea sponge and completely distracted from her natural beauty. We’re hoping she opts for something more simplistic and flattering at tonight’s main event.
