Ryan Gosling has stopped about 5,000 street fights and saved countless New York residents from speeding cabs like some kind of tank top-wearing Dark Knight, in addition to looking like he was drawn by Michelangelo himself. It would be hard for anyone to measure up to his benevolent influence, but…enter his new female counterpart Mila Kunis. According to TMZ, the Ted actress rushed to the aid of a 50-year-old man working in her home on Saturday after he starting seizing, coughing up blood and vomiting. After Kunis turned the man’s head to the side so he wouldn’t choke and made sure 911 was being called, someone else then “stuffed a wallet in his mouth so he wouldn’t swallow his tongue.” Hmm, they went with the wallet in the mouth? Really? Yeah, there’s a reason Mila is the new Lady Gosling, and this other person is not.
Not that Kunis is the only celebrity who’s been busy rescuing the planet’s unwell. Dustin Hoffman also stepped up, dialed for help and saved the day after stumbling upon a heart attack victim in London’s Hyde Park this week. So wait…is Dustin Hoffman the new Mila Kunis? Yeah, that’s the ticket. Congratulations, Dustin. And you’re welcome, everyone else in the world!

Star Trek star Zachary Quinto has publicly acknowledged his homosexuality for the first time in a New York magazine interview. Though a voice in gay rights for many years, the 34-year-old actor had previously declined to speak about his sexuality up until now. He says that it was his role in the recent Broadway re-staging of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America that helped spur his decision to come out formally and become an more active participant in the fight for LGBT equality.
The Broadway drama centers around a gay man who leaves his AIDS-afflicted boyfriend, and Quinto called the part “the most challenging thing I’ve ever done as an actor and the most rewarding.” It exhausted him mentally and made him rethink the current gay community. “As a gay man, it made me feel like there’s still so much work to be done,” he continued, “and there’s still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed.”
While great strides have been made, including the legalization of gay marriage in the State of New York, Quinto is concerned about the abuse that still gets hurled at homosexuals. He was particularly horrified by the death of young Jamey Rodemeyer, who took his own life after being bullied at school for his homosexuality. “As a gay man I look at that and say there’s a hopelessness that surrounds it,” he admits. “But as a human being I look at it and say ‘Why? Where’s this disparity coming from, and why can’t we as a culture and society dig deeper to examine that?'”
The actor spoke more about Jamey’s suicide on his website, and also offered his own video for the “It Gets Better” project. Check it out under the jump.
This was a big weekend for celebrity weddings. In addition to Mark Wahlberg, Heroes star Ali Larter also tied the knot with her boyfriend Hayes MacArthur. The couple wed at Hayes’ parents’ estate in Kennebunkport, Maine, where the guests arrived to the wedding on trolleys and Irish music played in honor of the groom’s heritage.
After dating for five years, Ali married the guy she says, “showed her the way.” “Since I was 15 years old, all I wanted was to find the guy I was going to marry. My heart got broken so many times because I put so much pressure on it. And then…I got blindsided,” Ali said.

Heroes starlet Hayden Panettiere, 19, dumped boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia this month after dating for over a year. But it wasn’t their creepy age difference that did them in (Milo is 31) – apparently their love crumbled after a pregnancy scare freaked Hayden out. The Sun-Times says, “The test proved negative but apparently caused friction that sparked the breakup.”
However no one close to couple is spilling the baby beans. One source coyly said, “Milo and Hayden are an intensely private couple, so everything out there in the press is speculation and hearsay. Only they know what’s really going on. They never acted ‘together’ on set, and they still aren’t acting ‘together’ now.”
Another on-set source insists, “They’re still together.” We don’t know what to believe, but this plot twist is better than anything we’ve seen on Heroes this year. [Photo: WireImage]
