It’s been kind of a tough week for Twilight fans. And Coloradans. And drought-stricken farmers. And Mitt Romney. And Londoners who still haven’t scored tix to the Olympics. And people who don’t like muggy weather. And Claudia Romani fans. Anyway, we just wanted to remind everyone that it’s Friday, the Olympics are starting, and one day, we will get to see Grown Ups 2, featuring the talents (body parts) of Paulina Gretzky and Taylor Lautner. Also a lot of other people. So cheer up, world! And thanks to Paulina for continuing to provide such a valuable public service on Instagram!

Dwyane Wade Decorates His Champion Toes, Inspires A Trend?

Everyone’s feet take a beating in the summer. We can’t even imagine what it’s like for the feet of professional athletes — let alone an NBA champion like Dwyane Wade. So we totally understand if the dude wants to pamper himself a little, now that the season’s over, and get a nice pedicure. We like to imagine that he and gf Gabrielle Union went together. But we’re on the fence about his decision to paint his toenails. Maybe he’s got a couple of bruised-black toes and wants to hide them under this attractive polish?

“Matte black paint… RockStar ish,” Wade wrote as a caption to the above Instagram. Does he mean “rock star ish,” or “rock-star-ish”? And is this all just a late entry into our list of the 25 most scandalous celebrity Twitpics of the year so far? We’ll file this away for consideration at the end of 2012. In the meantime, counting down the minutes until other guys jump on this trend. Let’s get some nail art in there, too, boys!

10 Photos Of Aussie Swimmer Stephanie Rice That Are Way Racier Than That Bikini Pic

As amused as we are by the fact that some people were shocked when Australian gold medal winner Stephanie Rice posted an Instagram of herself looking super hot in a bikini (given to her by a designer for her birthday), we are even more tickled by the champion swimmer’s responses to people on Twitter.

“Would like to thank News Ltd for the publicity. For another chance to see me in ‘racy’ swimwear tune into the Olympics on Fox Sports,” the 24-year-old quipped on Monday. And when Australian radio and TV host Jason “Labby” Hawkins posted a photo of himself in a pair of trunks, Rice used the opportunity to poke fun at her own photography skills: “@labby_onair the flash needs to be more over ur face, obvi didn’t study the pic well enough.”

We’d like to take this opportunity to show the world what real racy photos of the Olympian look like. The girl won three golds in Beijing and currently holds the world record in 400m individual medley, so she kinda earned this body, wouldn’t you say?

Rihanna Escapes Fiery Inferno In London! (Or, Has An Uncomfortable Morning Following Hotel Elevator Fire)

“Fire in the Telly #evacuationlife,” Rihanna wrote in an Instagram post this morning, accompanying a pic of a fire engine in front of the Corinthia Hotel in London. Another pic of herself curled up in a sweatshirt in the backseat of a car was captioned, “Roamin da streets since 6am! Fyah in da telly #evacuationlife.”

This all sounds like a very exciting turn of events for the other 300 or so guests at the hotel this morning. On the one hand, it really sucks to be forced to evacuate your hotel room in the wee hours — who among us hasn’t been forced to do this once? On the other hand, imagine you are on vacation and have no idea who else is staying in the posh hotel you’ve saved up for, and as you walk blearily down the stairs in your PJs and slippers, you see none other than a bleary Rihanna in her PJs and slippers. OK, we totally made this all up — maybe everyone had enough time to get dressed and maybe it was all rich and jaded guests for whom Rihanna sightings are nothing special. Just let us dream for a second, OK?
