Rasta, Hit Man, Golden Boy: Brad Pitt Explores Different Looks For Interview Cover

Brad Pitt "Interview" Magazine Cover

There’s a whole lot of Brad Pitt happening in these parts, what with his lame-o Chanel teaser video yesterday and this Interview October-November cover today. We aren’t calling Pitt himself lame, by the way. The decision by the Chanel folks to give us basically nothing in the teaser video, was. But this cover more than makes up for the disappointment mainly due to the amazing photo shoot. There’s a slideshow of some incredible black-and-white pictures of Pitt in different avatars — dread-locked and very sexy, an Hollywood star and a hitman, to name a few. And he rocks every single look. That’s the kind of Pitt we want — lots of him (take note, Chanel.) The interview itself has been done by the actor’s director in Snatch Guy Ritchie — and the two of them have a long chat about Pitt’s new crime film, Killing The Softly. Pitt says it’s not just about crime, though. It’s also a political film, he reveals, saying, “… And what made me laugh and what I think presents so many parallels to politics was that, what these guys in the film were dealing with, wasn’t really the issue itself, but the perception of the issue. It was about getting the perception right so that the people who were making money could continue to make money and everyone else would fall in line as they were supposed to. Again, that’s something that relates to the way that our economy works—and, really, politics itself works. The political discussion in America is very seldom about the issues—it’s often more about the perception of the issues …” Have a read, and then you can go back to looking at the pictures — we promise!

Mila Kunis Somehow Getting More Gorgeous, As Evidenced By Her Interview Cover

Mila Kunis Poses For Interview Magazine

We’re not sure what it is, but Mila Kunis looks even more stunning than she normally does on her new Interview spread. We’re not crazy, right? Compare these images to, say, her Elle UK cover. The actress looks beautiful on both, but Interview is the stand-out photo. Maybe Kunis is radiating the confidence that comes with starring in a slam-dunk like last month’s Ted. Or maybe just it’s those eyebrows. Actually, it’s totally the eyebrows. Damn, Mila! Eventually, over the course of all her future photoshoots, Mila’s just going to have one gigantic fierce brow where her head should be and the rest of us will have to look away lest our eyes be burned from their sockets in a blinding flash of hotness. Okay, maybe it’s not that much of a difference, but still. Lady is looking fine.

“Listen, in five years I do hope to have a family, and, you know, who knows?” the Oz the Great and Powerful actress revealed in her interview. “I think in this industry people have such a short shelf life, truly, that I don’t know what I’m going to be in five years in regards to acting.” How can someone have a short shelf life when they keep on getting more beautiful? They should build Kunis a total new shelf! Wait a minute…Mila didn’t get her lips done, did she? Now we’ve thrown our whole eyebrow theory off completely! To the archive of Mila Kunis photos!

KStew And Charlize Theron Are Goth Perfection On The Cover Of Interview Magazine

Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron Pose For Interview Cover

The Snow White And The Huntsman trailers already had the 13-year-old Goth inside of us doodling dragons and ogres in her science notebook. Interview Magazine‘s dark and dreamy take on the film’s stars Kristen Stewart  and Charlize Theron  just put more of an adult edge to the gothic fairy tale. If we hadn’t been on board with the burgundy lips and dark couture, they got us with the whole “1920s androgynous lounging tuxedo” look later on. Click past the jump if you want to see what we’re talking about, but please swallow any fluids you might have in your mouth first. You will involuntarily gasp with perfection.

In addition to looking fierce, it seems like KStew and Charlize are also fiercely loyal toward each other. “She is unlike anyone I’ve ever encountered. She is one of those people who walks into a room and everyone knows it,” Kristen tells the magazine  about Theron, adding, “Charlize and I do kind of have similar approaches. We only had a few days together, but we both are absolutely willing to hurt ourselves to do what it takes to get the right feeling, and not all actors are like that. Most actors like to be really comfy.” Praised Charlize, “I’ve been very lucky to work with some great women who know how to hit the ball back really hard. Even the younger girls, like Kristen Stewart, I never look at them that way. I love having women like that in my life.” Meanwhile, we love having these women in our lives. And when when you throw some fishnet veils and smoking jackets into the mix? Perfection.

What The Eff Is Up With James Franco’s Spring Breakers Gun Photo In Interview Magazine?

Look, we’ve been enjoying the non-stop parade of bikinis and peroxide and hijinks and corn-rowed James Franco from the set of Harmony Korine‘s upcoming movie Spring Breakers as much as anyone else. So why do we have to ruin the good times by seeing this photo of Franco pointing two guns at costars Ashley Benson’s and Vanessa Hudgens‘ heads in the latest issue of Interview magazine? Why? On a related note, what exactly is the message of this photo, taken by photographer Jonathan Durbin, when paired with all the florescent two-pieces and hysterical giggling in the other photos? “Woooo! Spring break! Massive head wounds are the shiznit! Jägerbombs! Tickets on sale now!” Thanks but no thanks, guys! We have to go stare at our hands and think about the nature of humanity when we could be logging onto Fandango.

Listen, we love boobs and butts and dude’s bare chests as much as the next blog. You know we do. Maybe more than anything, really. Plus, we know controversial and/or awful photos like this are usually taken for the express purpose of getting people all riled up, thus generating more buzz around a particular film. However! When it comes to gun violence, we are total prudes. Super prudes about guns being aimed at people’s heads, that’s us. Vanessa and Ashley, this is bad enough on your end, but Franco? We could not be more disappointed in you. Isn’t that shirt offensive enough?

Katy Perry’s Interview Magazine Cover Gets Leaked

Katy Perry‘s April cover for Interview Magazine was leaked yesterday so they hurriedly put up a ‘sneak peek‘ of the shot on their website to minimize damage. We’ve never seen Katy like this before and are totally enamored of this photograph. A lot of buzz on the internet has been about Amy Winehouse comparisons, because of the hair and eyeliner. We think she looks more like an early 90’s supermodel with that styling. The metallic bustier, the gloves, the earrings, the pout … she could totally be Tatjana Patitz or someone of her ilk. We also can’t wait to read the issue because the interview has been conducted by one of our favorite funny ladies, Kristen Wiig, so you know it’s going to be a hoot.

Scarlett Johansson Lands Two Major December Covers

How different does Scarlett Johansson look on these covers. The one on the left is the December issue of Vanity Fair, and the one on the right is Interview Magazines December offering. We love the red hair, pink lips and soft lighting on the VF one, but it’s the sexiness of the Interview photograph that has us sold. She’s wearing Dolce & Gabbana in the shot and it’s so much more angular and harsher — right down to the darker, thicker brows — than the other cover photograph. We don’t blame either magazine for wanting to end their year with ScarJo! Which one do you prefer?

Anne Hathway Covers Interview Magazine, Talks Affinity To Snooki And JWoww!

Okay, the September cover of Interview Magazine with Anne Hathaway is drop dead gorgeous. It reminds us of the Kate Moss 2008 Interview cover which is admittedly more feline. But hey, Anne is Catwoman and we feel this cover is a more couture nod to that role. But apart from our sartorial thumbs-up, we truly appreciate Chelsea Handler‘s interview with Anne, which only made us love the actress more.

We find out that the actress is, in fact, a Jersey Girl, which obviously leads to a full discussion about her love for that seminal show — Jersey Shore. And her similarities with Snooki and JWoww. Anne reveals, “… I like to watch MTV for escapist pleasure, but when I saw Snooki, I saw my twin. I couldn’t lose myself in the show anymore because there I was… That being said, I think JWoww is amazing. I love JWoww. She’s intense. See, JWoww to me is proper Jersey because she will scrap for a friend.”  Because, and you and I did not know this about Anne, but she can get pretty scrappy herself.

She explained this pugilist side with, “My best friend got married this past weekend in Barcelona, and I was one of her bridesmaids. She’s one of my best friends from Jersey, and this guy was messing with her, and I was totally like, “Who am I punching?” She was like, “No one. You’re not going to punch anyone. And I was like, “Fair enough, but if a fight breaks out, who do you want me to swing at?”

We want to be besties with Anne now and vacation with her Positano too.

Alexander Skarsgard Sexes Up Interview Magazine

Our other favorite vampire, Alexander Skarsgard covers Interview Magazine’s June issue. And not just anyone is interviewing him — Arcade Fire‘s lead singer Win Butler plays journalist for the day and asks the questions. Which is all well and good but holy s—t, Skarsgard looks just devastating on the cover! Team Eric all the way!

A lot of the conversation centers about his role on True Blood and he talks about not wanting to play the same stock character all the time. He explained, “I do get a lot of scripts sent to me where they basically want me to play Eric from ‘True Blood,’ but just a different name in a different movie. That’s not interesting to me. I don’t want to play a character that I’ve played for four years on a television show, change the name, and make him a zombie instead of a vampire.” We don’t care what he plays. As he long as he looks like that, and acts like that, we’re sold.
