Blair Underwood stopped by Very VH1 today to make us swoon talk about his new NBC cop show, Ironside, and we seriously had to consider the principles of mathematics. Because, seriously, this guy is 49 years old? Is he some kind of vampire? Well, if you watch the Spreecast, you will get a sense of his maturity, but we think it’s pretty hard to tell his real age from project to project. After Pornstache, Pablo Schreiber Is Done Playing Creepy Guys (For A While)

Pablo Schreiber is having a moment. As menacing corrections officer George “Pornstache” Mendez  on Orange Is The New Black he stood out among so many amazing characters thanks to his horrifying, and at times hilarious, creepiness. With a simultaneous stint on Law & Order: SVU as serial killer William Lewis, Pablo’s perfected the art of playing monsters. Now he’s stepping out of the dark side to play good cop Virgil on Ironside, NBC’s new cop drama debuting tonight at 10/9c. (The show is actual a remake of one that aired on NBC from 1967-1975.) We chatted with the actor over the phone while he was on a break from shooting Ironside in Los Angeles and talked about fatherhood, fandoms and how Dolph Lundgren inspired that ridiculous Pornstache haircut.

If you’re too young to have crushed on Blair Underwood during his days as hotshot lawyer Jonathan Rollins on L.A. Law from 1987-1994 (we are too, but we loved the reruns!), you could have lusted after him on Sex and the City (as Miranda’s sexy neighbor) or In Treatment. Er, sorry. Not to downplay his considerable acting talent! Don’t tell him we objectified him when you join us on the Very VH1 Spreecast this Wednesday at 4:15 pm ET (1:15 PT). Instead, ask him all about Ironside, his new series premiering on NBC Wednesday night.
