Remember that DUI Bobby Brown was arrested for back in October? It was in L.A and his second drink-related mess-up of 2012 alone, and his third public DUI that we know of. The law isn’t being forgiving with him at all because he has been sentenced to 55 days in jail after pleading no contest in court yesterday. Apart from his forthcoming jailtime, he also has to go through a four year probation period and an 18-month alcohol program. The singer has to turn himself in by March 20, which is just around the corner. Yikes! On top of all that he also has to go for AA meetings until he is incarcerated. They’re not messing around! But he clearly, has screwed up multiple times so this is a sobering wake-up call if anything for Bobby.

Just last week we reported that Lindsay Lohan‘s jail time would most likely be reduced to a few minutes, due to the overcrowding in L.A cells. She didn’t spends minutes, but shouldn’t complain either way, as she was out just under five hours after being booked. Lindz checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, at 8:48 p.m. yesterday. There was a slight chance that she would pull an overnighter in the clink, but LiLo was out by 1.30 a.m.

Lindsay Lohan has a lucky star following her around. Yesterday, Lindsay was sentenced to 30 days of jail for violating her probation. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Office said she would end up serving only six days — or 20 percent — of that sentence and would have to adhere to a very strict probation schedule set down by Judge Stephanie Sautner.
Now, it seems that Lindsay will end up spending only a few minutes in the clink. TMZ reports that officials from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department have stated that any individual who is charged with a misdemeanor sentence up to 90 days will be processed but then released almost immediately because of jail overcrowding. Technically, 90-day sentencees have to be incarcerated for 20 percent of their sentence, but the officials have clarified that a federal law dealing with the issue of overcrowding “trumps everything.” Therefore, as the official explained, “She’ll be out without even having to change her clothes.”
The only reason Lindz will spend any extra time in jail — possibly overnight — is because of a vast number of people being processed at the same time, which will slow the system down. This begs a question though. Why would the judge sentence Lindsay to 30 days if she knew that she would get out immediately? Well, she didn’t know. L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca stated on Good Day L.A yesterday that there was space in his jail, making our head spin. Either way, it’s a win for Lindsay.
Lindsay Lohan’s stare-down with the law is almost getting impressive, were it not so amazingly stupid. Despite promising that she’d keep her nose clean (*zing*) after getting released from custody in May, Lindsay has been found in double violation of her probation and now could face time in jail. Maybe even in a real jail this time, and not staying in her house and watching DVDs, which some of us would call “the weekend.”
According to TMZ, the actress has failed to see her court-appointed psychologist once a week, as outlined in her probation terms. Lilo claims that she was unable to attend her shrink sessions because she was working out of the country, but the court says this is no excuse. In fact, Judge Stephanie Sautner specifically forbade her from work if it would interfere with the terms of her probation.
On top of that misstep, Lindsay has also been “kicked out” of her community service gig at the Downtown Woman’s Shelter for “violating the rules several times.” Apparently she “blew off” a total of nine visits, and when she did decide to show, she’d bounce after only an hour instead of the required four. Part of her probation agreement was for her to serve 360 hours of community service by May 2012 and so far she’s done twenty-on, which the judge hilariously calls this “unimpressive.” Lindsay’s now reportedly been moved to a new community service program at the Red Cross. But we should go easy on Lindsay lately, because she’s apparently very busy. From the looks of Lindsay’s brown teeth, she hasn’t even had time to get to the dentist in a while, either.

He’s only been out of prison a day, and already T.I. is involved in a shooting…for his new reality series, that is! *zing* The rapper has begun filming a new show that will chronicle life after his ten month prison sentence. In fact, the cameras apparently started rolling mere minutes after his release. The series will air on our very own VH1, which says the show will follow T.I. as he “re-adjusts to life as a free man.” The series has yet to be given a title, but it’s going to be choc full of intimate moments, including his emotional reunion with his wife and kids. It sounds like a real heart-stopper, nail-biter, tear-jerker, and other bodily functions we haven’t even considered! “Can the King stay on the straight and narrow while juggling the chaos of his kingdom?” asks the press release? Drama.com! The show is scheduled to premiere on December 5th. Will you be tuning in?

She never allows us to miss her, does she? Lindsay Lohan is due in court this morning for testing positive for booze. That of course is a violation of her probation terms, and Judge Stephanie Sautner has ordered her to come in and face the repercussions. Here’s some extra bad news that doesn’t bode particularly well for her — the Probation Department wants her in jail!  They wanted Li.Lo to take two tests in May but were stymied by the actress’ lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, who stated the procedures weren’t mentioned in the probation clauses.
Never a good idea to throw the book at them, guys. They figured out a way to get Lindz to take two tests last week, one of which she tanked. She’s tested positive for booze and negative for drugs. C’mon … that’s progress! The Probation Department are having none of it though, because they’re also displeased that Lindsay’s been having parties at her pad while under house arrest! She had a rooftop barbecue ‘do recently, and one of the tests was taken right after the do. A source explains, “Lindsay tested positive for alcohol. The judge in her DUI case, Judge Elden Fox said she couldn’t consume any alcohol while on probation. The probation department has prepared a report, and Lindsay will be in court tomorrow.”
We don’t know how badly this reflects on her, but apparently, the electronic monitoring company responsible for her during the house arrest period, is bailing out. Another source explains, “They don’t want to continue to monitor since they have been notified that Lindsay violated terms of her probation. The drinking occurred while Lindsay was under house arrest.” It sounds like they’ve had enough of her antics, which definitely will not sound good in court. Stay tuned for the hearing today.
You would think he would have got it down to a science by now. Didn’t learn anything from your time with forensics? Ex-CSI actor Gary Dourdan was arrested early morning yesterday in L.A for ecstasy possession. He apparently had “a few pills” on him when cops got to him around 3.30am. Someone had called into to report that the actor had crashed into two parked vehicles. Gary was booked at a nearby police station and released around noon on $10,000 bail.
Needless to say, he’s pretty stupid to drive when that amped up. This isn’t the first time he’s been in trouble with the law regarding drugs, either. Gary was found with cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and prescription pills on his person after police found him asleep in his car in Palm Springs back in 2008. He was discovered around 5 am then. parked on the wrong side of the road, was subsequently arrested and released on $5,000 bail. Prices have gone up since then! Clean your act up, Dourdan. This is really dumb behavior.

We will always love Pimp Chronicles, Part 1; the bit about Michael Jackson has our jaws on the floor every time. But as Katt Williams’ arrest on Saturday suggests, maybe Katt isn’t doing a great job keeping all that insanity confined to the stage/his extensive suit collection. According to TMZ, while Williams was staying at a home in Palmdale, California, a landscaping worker driving a tractor at the house was allegedly attacked by three women wielding dirt and rocks. The man called his wife who came to pick him up, only to find Williams using his SUV to block their escape. The couple called 911, and Williams was arrested on a charge of felony intimidating a witness. The three women were also arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, but on the flip side just gave Katt a solid hour of new material.
This isn’t the first time Katt has been arrested for a crime that makes literally no sense at all; in 2009, Williams was picked up by police for burglarizing a home in Georgia. Williams was released later this past Saturday after posting his $50,000 bail. “if you admit to crimes on social networks or post evidence #youdumbashell,” Katt tweeted on Saturday, which already sounds like the name of his next Comedy Central special.
Summer for musicians normally translates into tours and festivals — happy time! But not for a sad few, unfortunately. Folks like Ja Rule are going to be heading to jail while the rest of the fraternity frolics. He’s turning himself in on June 8 and is going to be incarcerated for two whole years!
Ja’s being sentenced because of a felony weapons charge that he pleaded guilty to in court in December last year. He was busted by cops, back in 2007, with a loaded semiautomatic weapon in his car during a traffic stop in New York. During his trial, the rapper agreed to serve a two-year period which is now just three months away. That’s got to be the worst, right? Watching and waiting till you have to turn yourself in — that’s rough!
We hope that $2,500 necklace was worth it! Lindsay Lohan has officially been charged with felony grand theft as a result of her being seen with the necklace that was allegedly stolen from Kamofie & Company in Los Angeles on January 22.
Lohan was seen on the store’s security footage taking the necklace, which was later returned to the LAPD by LiLo’s stylist, but the actress maintains it was a loaner that just wasn’t returned on time. Her arraignment is set to take place this afternoon at 4:30 EST, 1:30 PST and bail has been set at $20,000, which, at that price could have bought quite a few necklaces and avoided the legal trouble. If she’s found guilty of a felony, Lindsay could face anywhere from sixteen months to three years in prison. We’ll keep you posted once her arraignment gets under way.
