"The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection" Fashion Show

New York Fashion Week kicked off with the always eagerly awaited, celebrity-model filled “The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection” fashion show, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom yesterday. The show was created to raise awareness for women’s heart issues and deatures stars walking the runway in red dresses loaned by top designers. This year, we adored Minka Kelly in a graceful, pleated and draped Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 gown. Kelly Osbourne wore a hot, strapless mermaid fishtail by Zac Posen, while Jamie Chung took on slinky deep cherry sequins from the David Meister Signature collection. Toni Braxton looked sultry in a halter Herve L. Leroux gown, while Gabrielle Douglas looked poised in a Pamella Roland mullet dress. The Jenner family walked the ramp too — Kris, Kendall and Kylie — in bright red Badgley Mischka gowns. We have to say, the girls looks absolutely lovely. Rounding up the ladies is, Roselyn Sanchez who had a blast in Tadashi Shoji as she shimmied down the runway. You can see all the looks in our gallery below. Whose gown is your favorite?

Vogue‘s Fashion Night Out Draws In Celebrities On Both Coasts

Everyone looks forward to the grand retail extravaganza that is Vogue‘s Fashion Night Out. Held in approximately 19 countries across a week, the U.S — due to Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour‘s dictact — has their big night on the first day of Fashion Week. It’s a smart move because everyone’s in New York then, and those celebrities who don’t need to be there on day one, can enjoy FNO in L.A, the other fashion capital of the country. That’s both coasts taken care of! Hundreds of stores and designers providing special gifts with purchase and exclusive FNO merchandise, discounts and deals. NYC was swarming with stars yesterday for FNO special apperances. AnnaSophia Robb was Fekkai Mademoiselle, Nikki Reed and Kate Upton were at Michael Kors. Nikki looks super hot in a golden sequined dress, FYI. She was the best-dressed of the night! Kellan Lutz, Pharrell Williams and Matchbox 20 were at Bloomingdales. Allison Williams was at the DVF store, while Alexa Chung was at Moschino. Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian made the rounds too, of course. Kim’s little sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and her mother Kris Jenner were at the Beverly Center in L.A. along with Lucy Hale and Kendra Wilkinson, as well. Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Fergie And More Give Us A Twit-Peek At Their Fourth Of July Festivities


Ridiculous hats — check! Crazy sunglasses — double check! Celebs can be just like us sometimes, especially when it comes to July 4 celebrations. Beyonce, Fergie and the Jenners were just a few of the celebs who couldn’t wait to show the world their fab 4th ensembles. We especially loved the candy-apple red lips on Miley Cyrus and Victoria Justice! And of course some took advantage of the red, white and blue day to show off their hot bikini bods. Tweeting pics from picnics, parties, and poolside, these stars clearly had a blast with fam and friends celebrating Independence Day.

Kendall And Kylie Jenner Get Their Suzanne Collins On, Announce Sci-Fi Novel Series

It seems Kendall and Kylie Jenner are out to prove they’re more than just pretty faces with their latest endeavor: a sci-fi novel series! Though their newfound literary prowess may set them apart from their Kardashian sisters, this undertaking follows the release of mother and manager Kris Jenner’s memoir All Things Kardashian in 2011. If you’ve been Keeping Up With the Kardashians, you’ll know that Kris’ book has sparked some controversy within her famous brood. Maybe the latest family drama explains why the Jenner pair is sticking to fiction.

In an interview with E! News, Kendall and Kylie detail their literary, um, method. Their debut novel, intended for the young-adult reader, is set 200 years in the future and will involve two sisters — shocker! Fans of successful YA series like Twilight, Harry Potter, and The Hunger Games, they are hoping their book will draw in a similar following. With such lofty goals, it’s a good thing they’ll have some professional help from writer Maya Sloane and publisher Simon & Schuster (the same as their mom!) Kylie assured E! that we will get to feast our eyes on this creation soon, saying, “I think we will definitely get it done with how fast [the process] is going.”

The Kardashians’ Vacation Music Video Is Cringe-Worthy And Sexy. But Mostly Cringe-Worthy

OK, it’s time to confiscate the Kardashian’s Macbooks. The first family of attention seekers have just released a music video made out of footage from their trip to the Dominican Republic. Sure, it does feature elder K-Sisters Kim and Khloe dancing in swimsuits, but tragically it also contains Kris Jenner smacking husband Bruce’s booty (and vice versa). That disturbing image has seared itself into our brain like a cattle brand, and we’re amazed YouTube didn’t make us confirm our age to view it.

The clip is set to Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize” and was posted online by junior Kardashian sisters Kendall and Kylie (16 and 14 respectively), whose rap-dancer bikini gyrations that we viewed for journalistic purposes now make us feel like we should be on some kind of watch list. “Here’s our latest family music video to Hypnotize by Notorious B.I.G,” they wrote. “We might get some hate but who cares, we had fun doing it! Hope you guys don’t take this too seriously!” And there you have it folks: rap videos are fun for the whole family! From mom and dad, all the way down to underage daughters. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to give our eyes a shower.

Kendall Jenner Goes The “Taylor Momsen” Hobo-Punk Fashion Route In L.A.

So we’ve been championing both Kendall and Kylie Jenner‘s girly, pretty style for some time now. We genuinely like them, because they always look tasteful and classy. Admittedly, we were a little worried that they were going their big sister Kim Kardashian‘s route at The Hunger Games premiere, as both girls’ dresses were tiny. We were concerned that at 14 (Kylie) and 16 (Kendall), they needed to pull it down a notch.

But our inner scolding mother didn’t exactly want them to cover up like this: Kendall’s walking around in those tights. She was photographed coming out of LAX, arriving from New York, wearing ripped, Taylor Momsen-esque leggings, which made us scream, “No. Not you, Kendall! Kylie looks fine in jeans, a T-shirt and a muffler and seems to be lowering her head in shame at her sister’s moth-eaten/post-wild-cat-attack look. Ripped tights are fine on a punk rocker girl, in moderation. Giant, calculated holes on a Jenner girl? Nuh-uh.

The Kardashians Kollectively Perform “Lady Marmalade” For Your Viewing Pleasure

This video had us strangely hooked, for some reason. Even though we couldn’t stop cringing while watching it. The Kardashian clan decided it would be an awesome idea to shoot a home video of themselves lip-synching to “Lady Marmalade.” Kim Kardashian explained on her blog, writing, “We didn’t have time to finish the whole song, but we thought we would put this out anyway! It was so much fun to make it … it’s sort of become a tradition now to make family music videos. Hope you guys enjoy it! Kylie directed it!” This was shot while the Kardashians posed for their Christmas card last year.

Do watch it and tell us what you think. Because, and this was surprising to us, the unsexiest thing in this video is Kim. Seriously. She has zero sex appeal in this but still hogs the camera. Kourtney is working it. Khloe seems more like comic relief because she can’t seem to stop giggling. And mamma Kris Jenner has about 5 seconds to herself and makes them … memorable. Bust out the popcorn!

Kylie And Kendall Jenner: Looking Great Or Looking Like Sister Kim Kardashian?

You can’t deny that Kendall and Kylie Jenner are two gorgeous young ladies. We also love what they had on at the Hunger Games premiere in L.A. yesterday, but would’ve preferred the dresses on someone older. Way too short for girls who are 14 (Kylie) and 16 (Kendall). We feel like we’re looking at a retrospective of older sister Kim Kardashian‘s fashions. Especially with Kylie’s teeny, tight, white number which we’ve seen various versions of on Kim over the years. Are you really comfortable with a 14-year-old being all about the booty? We gave them a pass when we saw them last at The Vow premiere because they look genuinely sweet. But those hemlines are getting dangerous and someone should say something, no?

Look at how members of their peer group like Hailee Steinfeld or Dakota Fanning (when she was younger) did carpets looking stunning and age appropriate. Our editor and all-around YA fiction boss (that’s you, @shalapitcher) also very correctly pointed out, a certain ironic factoid about these two. Considering a very important theme of The Hunger Games is built on a very strong critique of kids and (or on) reality shows, it makes us wonder about what sort of people are monitoring Kendall, Kylie and their ilk.

Some Hits, Some Misses At The Vow Premiere

Y’all know we love Rachel McAdams, right? And this The Vow movie with Channing Tatum is already giving out The Notebook vibes (and it’s not even based on a Nicholas Sparks book!), so we’re getting our tissue boxes out in preparation. We so wanted her to nail it at the Hollywood premiere of the film last night. She looks … fine. But that’s the problem. Rachel McAdams is not supposed to look just “fine,” or like any other pretty starlet. But that’s what her pastel blue Vivienne Westwood dress and nude Christian Louboutin pumps left us feeling. It’s pretty, but it’s not smashing it. Love the lipstick, though.

Very surprisingly, the best dressed for us was the duo of Kendall and Kylie Jenner. If you can get over how short the dresses are for a 16- and a 14-year-old, respectively. But these girls never make anything look déclassé, though because they always look really sweet. Yes, a Kardashian (sorta) can look sweet. We’re not feeling Kendall’s “welcome to the ’90s” bun, but are totally digging her white mini-sheath and bronze pumps. Sadly, who we’re really not feeling is Channing’s wife, Jenna Dewan in the pink, ruffled Tadashi Shoji dress and red pumps. The dress is wearing her, and it makes her look like a Valentine’s Day present.

The Breaking Dawn Shortlist: Who Rocked The Minis?

There were gowns aplenty on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 black carpet. But we sifted through piles of photographs and found lots of leg as well. Many celebrities rocked mini dresses, holding their own against the likes of Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Elizabeth Reaser. Ashley Tisdale wore tight, lacy white and leopard-print booties. Kylie Jenner looked lovely in a nude A-line mini with a cinched waist, while sister Kendall Jenner wore a similar peach version. Cassie Scerbo (whutup, Make It or Break It fans) worked it in a bodycon, red number and Melissa Joan Hart wore the same color, only in a more elegant, ’40s silhouette. We’d also like to give special mention to 12-year-old Kiernan Shipka — a.k.a. Sally on Mad Men — who looked lovely and age appropriate in a black and navy blue bell-skirted frock. She may just be our pick for best dressed of the night.
