Summer concert season is supposed to be all about letting loose, drinking beer and enjoying great music with your friends, right? But it’s also a fantastic place to eye what the cool kids are wearing these days, which makes sense: When you can’t hear what anyone’s saying over the blasting beat, you have to communicate in other ways. And since it’s the earliest big festival on the camera, and jam-packed with celebrities, we like to turn to Coachella as an indicator of the coming season’s hot — and often batsh– crazy — trends. Two adorable couples (who happen to be friends), Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, and Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, gave us hope that this summer would be full of relaxed but colorful clothing. Vanessa Hudgens and Fergie, on the other hand, have us a little worried. And lord help us if anyone tries to make us buy a pair of studded denim hot pants, a la Rihanna. Some thighs are not meant to be adorned in such a manner. Let’s take a look at the trends we’ll embrace, the ones we fear, and a few we’re still on the fence about.

Emma Watson turns 22 today, but we still can’t help but want to pinch those grown women cheeks. The Harry Potter starlet exudes total adorableness. From her sleek cut to her polished threads, Emma is that pretty girl you always hated because you secretly wanted to be just like her. Can we blame all those screaming girls gushing tears when they meet her? Although Emma’s days of playing the smart and fearless Hermione have sadly come to an end, Emma’s career is still booming. The Brown University undergrad played the cute wardrobe assistant Lucy in My Week With Marilyn, a critically acclaimed film nominated for two Oscars. She’s got a lead in the much-anticipated Perks of Being a Wallflower, out in September. And the English beauty is currently switching gears to play bad-ass stick-up kid in The Bling Ring, scheduled to release in 2013. No matter the different roles Emma takes, she will always be that darling little lady we first met on the big screen in 2001. Let’s all wish Emma a big happy birthday with her 22 most adorable looks.

Veronica Mars was where we got our first glimpse of Krysten Ritter’s giant eyes, flawless skin and energetic nature. Her part was rather small, but very noticeable, and we thought big things were in Krysten’s future. She moved onto another small part in another much-loved series, Gilmore Girls, and we still thought she was just biding her time. We kept seeing her face, hearing her name associated with upcoming shows, and never really getting to know what she could do as a leading lady. Maybe if that Gossip Girl spin-off about Serena’s mom, Lily, we would now be referring to Krysten as “Carol Rhodes” in the same way we always just want to call Ed Westwick “Chuck Bass.” But it wasn’t meant to be. Nor were Gravity, or Love Bites. And a show called Woke Up Dead starring Jon Heder as a zombie wasted away on the streaming video network Crackle.
But perhaps the world was just waiting for the awkwardly named but promisingly quirky comedy Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, premiering tonight on ABC. Krysten’s pretty funny as Chloe, the B in question who feels like she’s doing her roommates a service by making their lives a living hell. And we’re looking forward to seeing how she and Alicia Silverstone look as vampires in Clueless director Amy Heckerling’s movie Vamps. Is this finally Krysten’s moment? Let us know what you think after you tune in tonight!

Kristen Stewart beats to her own funky fashion drum. And we’re willing to bet that drum has the Converse logo on it. She consistently sports dark shades, a knotted tee, and a pair of grungy kicks — when she’s not legging it up in mini dresses at her many premieres. The erstwhile Bella Cullen is most definitely doing her thing onscreen too. With two expected blockbusters due out this year, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 and Snow White and the Huntsman, and the buzzed-about On the Road, Robert Pattinson better be planning some extra special celebrations for his lady.
Today, we thought we’d honor one specific side of Kristen’s real-life and onscreen persona. Since her Panic Room days, Kristen has landed a number of tough-girl roles, and we already named her one of our 15 favorite current female actress stars. And when she’s not in a movie, she’s being rebellious with defiant poses in magazine spreads, giving mysterious answers in interviews, and shooting dark looks at the paparazzi. So, as Kristen celebrates her 22nd birthday today, we’ll be celebrating her 22 most bad-ass looks.

100 years after setting off on her doomed voyage, the Titanic is back in the headlines and back on the big screen! In honor of the ill-fated ocean liner’s centennial anniversary, director James Cameron has sent his record breaking blockbuster Titanic into another round of theatrical release. But this time the larger than life spectacle gets the 3-D treatment, so you’ll be able to see that steamy car love-scene like never before!
It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since the film first took the world (and the Oscars) by storm. It made an even-bigger star out of Leonardo DiCaprio, brought Kate Winslet to worldwide prominence, and probably bought James Cameron a couple dozen yachts or something. But despite the boatload of success stories, many faces from Titanic have been lost in the great sea of Hollywood bit parts. Billy Zane, where art thou!? Never fear, movie fans; we’ve managed to track down all of your Titanic favorites. Full speed a head to the gallery below to see how they look, and what they’ve been up to!

First, let us say, Tom Cruise is hilariously good at singing Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” in the new Rock of Ages trailer. But that’s not what impressed us the most about this preview of the movie (in theaters June 15) and certainly not what made us fork over our dough to see the musical on Broadway, from the front row. Nor was the touching love story of smalltown kids just trying to live out their dreams in L.A., or the cautionary tale about how fame and fortune will destroy your soul. Nope. It is the impressive way in which this musical actually makes us nostalgic for the most embarrassing fashion and music trends of the late ’80s and early ’90s. The perms, the sweaty leather, the man makeup, the sappy ballads, the over-the-top guitar solos, the bras worn alone as perfectly acceptable tops — we might cringe with regret (or, for those who didn’t live through the era, gape in wonder) in any other setting, but Rock of Ages reminds us of how totally rad it was to look as trashy as possible and bang your head to the sounds of Motley Crue, Poison and Def Leppard. It was true with the unknown actors of the theatrical version, but it’s even more evident when we see it all played out by the all-star cast of Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti, Malin Akerman, Julianne Hough and newcomer Diego Boneta.
Without further ado, we present to you a countdown of the 20 most rock-and-roll looks from trailer #2.

Friday’s come early this week, because today is officially the day that Nicki Minaj drops her latest album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded! The record features the hit song “Starships”, as well as guest spots from hip-hop royalty like Lil Wayne, Cam’ron, Nas and more. A new album always brings new performances, and hopefully those will include more of Nicki’s crazy faces! In addition to her booty and her way-out style, the singer’s otherworldly facial expressions have become her trademark. We’re never totally sure what emotion she’s trying to convey (surprise? anger?) but it’s always fierce! So in honor of her latest album, let’s take a look back at some of Nicki’s most insane faces of all time. Enjoy!

So, the audio of Chevy Chase’s voicemail message for Community executive producer Dan Harmon is making the rounds today, complete with the sound of people laughing as they listen to the actor calling the showrunner a “fat f—,” “sh– stinko” and “g–damn bad writer.” This was reportedly in response to Harmon leading chants of “f— Chevy” at a wrap party, after Chase walked off the set before finishing the last episode. Such antics, by both Chase and Harmon, would have seemed a whole lot more shocking a few years ago. Before Charlie Sheen. And Christian Bale. And… well, let’s just go through our favorite examples of celebrities telling off their bosses is a way none of us would ever dare. Then vote and tell us which you think was the most outrageous.
Bill O’Reilly: At some point during his tenure on Inside Edition (1989-95), O’Reilly took issue with the TelePrompter cues for him to throw to a Sting video. And thus, “F— it! We’ll do it live!” became his most infamous catch phrase.
Lily Tomlin: A whole new generation got to know the comedian after videos surfaced of her various fights with director David O. Russell on the I Heart Huckabees set in 2004. “F– you, mother—-er. F— you, f— you, f— you,” she says as Dustin Hoffman, Elizabeth Huppert and Mark Wahlberg sit quietly in the car with her.
Rihanna doesn’t stick with one look for very long! Just a few weeks after dying her brunette tresses blond, the Barbadian beauty went back to black, with a punky side-buzz twist! She unveiled her new look on Twitter over the weekend, where she posted a photo montage with the caption/explanation “Cuz I’m black, bitch.” #UnnecessarilyAgressiveTweet?
Riri has proved to be quite the chameleon since she burst onto the scene. In fact, it seems like the only look she does stick with is “pantsless.” The singer changes her ‘do more often that most of us change our socks. Check out the gallery below for a look at 50 (yes 50!) hair styles Rihanna has rocked over the years!
Paris Hilton stepped out onto the beaches of Sydney yesterday looking as though her top had been attacked by a grizzly bear. We were starting to wonder if she’s hooking up with X-Men’s Wolverine, but then we realized it’s just some kind of new-fangled fashion forward swimwear. The heiress is no stranger to strange beachwear, having graced many shores in outfits ranging from glam to gross.
Of course, Paris isn’t the only star who likes to bare her bod in unique styles. Head on down to the gallery below to catch some of the craziest (and hottest!) celebrity bikinis of all time! From Kim Kardashian to Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria to Ke$ha, we’ve got ‘em all. Let the weird tan lines begin!
