Our favorite sullen, raccoon-eyed punching bag is back! Taylor Momsen attended the Material Girl clothing launch with Madonna and Lourdes Leon last night, and despite being in the presence of one of the world’s most famous women, she still couldn’t be bothered to smile. And what’s worse, her bitchface seems to be rubbing off on Lourdes, who also never cracked a smile. Nooo! You can grimace all you want, Taylor, but you can’t have our Lourdes!
Our favorite pic might be the one where Taylor – in what has to be the dictionary definition of “begrudgingly” – waves to the camera. “Must! Lift! Arm! And! Wave! Oh f*ck it, forget it.”
Thirteen years ago when Madonna announced that she was knocked up with some personal trainer’s baby, we thought, that is going to be the world’s most famous kid and that’s going to be one rough life. We’re happy to say we were totally wrong. Lourdes Leon seems to be one well-adjusted teen, and just like most other teens in America, she started her first day of high school yesterday, at New York’s La Guardia High School of Music, Art And Performing Arts. (Otherwise known as the school that Fame was based on.)
La Guardia is a public school, which, coupled with the fact that Madonna still rides the subway in New York means that really and truly, these stars are just like us. Except for the net worth of like a billion dollars. But still! Lourdes will be focusing her studies in the drama department, where she will not be studying her mother’s famous turns in Who’s That Girl? and Body of Evidence as examples of fine thespian work.
Can we just take a moment to say how old this makes us feel that we remember when those photos of Lourdes as a baby came out in Vanity Fair? And now that adorable baby has a blog, braces, a fashion line and will eventually be auditioning for the fall production of Fiddler on the Roof. Where did the time go?

Our obsession with all things Lourdes Leon continues with these shots of Madonna‘s eldest child and her siblings hanging out at a Paris amusement park over the weekend. We don’t know anyone else who can get away with those sunglasses, but Lourdes rocks them even in mid-ride. Check out Madge, who’s in France to direct her new film W.E., and the kids and their weekend adventures in France in our gallery below. Seriously, Lourdes, will you be our stylist?

Picture this: you’re dragging yourself from the subway to the office in a half-asleep, pre-coffee daze, and what do you see? A fashion shoot complete with various light reflectors and a twig-thin teenage model – not something totally shocking for a New York City commute. Look closer and you notice Madonna behind the lens, with 13-year-old daughter Lourdes supervising the shoot. And who’s the bleached-out model? That’s “I still wear pieces from when I was in f*cking middle school” Taylor Momsen. It’s a sight that would gawk-out the most jaded New Yorker.
Lourdes, ever the fashion blogger, looked effortlessly on trend while directing her collaborator/mama and the face of their line. As if Lourdes and Taylor weren’t already making us feel old and dowdy, even Madonna’s stylish street looks are causing us to get a case of the stabbies at our desk. [Photo: Splash News Online]
Lourdes Leon is proving to be just as industrious as her mama. Madonna‘s daughter, who has been famous since before she was born, is currently collaborating with Madonna on a fashion line called Material Girl, which will debut at Macy’s later this summer. Even better, she’s also doing some fashion blogging to drum up interest.
Judging from her first post, we are in love with this girl. She’s cool in a geeky way, she makes a sly reference to poop, she’s not allowed to dye her hair, and she has an awesome sense of humor. Here’s a paragraph from her first blog entry:
Helluuur thurrrr, I’m Lola and this is my first blog entry so it’s kind of like ummmm….
I’m just going to use this blog entry to tell y’all a little bit about myself. I’m 13 and I’ll be 14 in October, so I can’t wait for that because I am FINALLY allowed to dye my hair… THANK YOU MOTHER!! My favvvv color is black (just because it goes with everything) and my least favorite color is brown (because it resembles the color of something QUITE gross).
Honestly, when we heard “Lourdes Leon fashion blog” we figured it would be a lame, phony website written by some PR person, but we’ll happily take this instead. Sure she’s selling her Material Girl wares (today’s entry is all about their tie dye line) but we just about died when we read her take on gladiator sandals “good old 2010 is now coming along and people are STILL wearing them, and then I was just like OK NO! It’s been three years people COME ON!!!!!!!!! I’m just like what????” Lourdes, when can we get together and hang out on the corner making fun of bad fashion? Call us!
In the meantime, check out our gallery of Lourdes rocking some pretty good fashion for a tweenager.

Like mother like daughter. Madonna has always done things her way, and her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes Leon seems to be following in her footsteps. We’ve always liked her, especially when we saw her breaking it down in her Mom’s video Celebration. She even played the piano on one of her tracks at a gig in Israel. And we love the fact that she got Madge of all people to say, “If anything, I wish she’d dress more conservatively. How’s that for irony?”
Now mini-Madonna’s putting some of that eclectic fashion sense to good use. The mother-daughter duo have worked together on a collection of junior clothing which will debut August 3 at Macy’s. With a cheeky nod to Madonna’s tracklist, the line’s called Material Girl. The best part is that you don’t need to be pulling in a rockstar paycheck to afford the clothes, bags, shoes and bling. The collection retails between $12-$40. And Mom says it’s all Lola saying, “I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste.” Expect fun 80’s redux with Like a Virgin-reminiscent stuff with tutu-dresses and studded combat boots. Macy’s promises that there is also a yet-to-be-revealed celebrity muse who will be attached to the collection. As if Madonna and Lourdes aren’t enough!

Lourdes Leon may be a 13-year-old girl with fabulous style, her own fashion line and Madonna for a mother, but she’s still a 13-year-old girl. She certainly seemed to be giving her material mom a hard time, having to be pulled over to pose at last night’s “Bent For Learning” yoga benefit in NYC. The teens on Glee may think Madonna is the best, but that doesn’t mean her kid never treats her like the worst. Even more awkward appearances at the event included Sean Lennon‘s doorman outfit and Gwyneth Paltrow‘s wrinkled go-go dress (had she just made out with William Shatner on a faraway planet?). Way to sell yoga, guys. Check out these stars, the ominpresent Kelly Bensimon and more in the gallery below.

Madonna is in Malawi with daughters Lourdes and Mercy, and we’re shocked to see her looking like a real live mom. The pop princess turned awesome plastic surgery ad is in Africa to promote a new school she is building for girls, which is presumably why she dragged invited her daughters along. But if you can look past the Sex Book and Jesus Luz and the Kaballah obsession and her face, they kinda look like every other family out there. Cute, even!

Lourdes Leon has shown she has fabulous style, but now Madonna‘s 13-year-old daughter reportedly has a boyfriend! Madge’s first-born is apparently dating a guy named Carlos, and the private teen is working overtime to keep the relationship on the DL. According to a source, the singer is cool with Lola kicking off her dating life. “Actually, Madonna is totally fine with it because she knows its not that serious at the moment,” they said. “She allowed Lourdes to take him to the premiere of the movie Nine In New York last month and they have met up several times since.”
Though while Madge is reportedly down with the new beau, she and Lola often disagree on fashion. Says the insider: “Occasionally, they argue because Lourdes might like to wear something her mother doesn’t agree with. Like all mothers and daughters, they have disagreements. That’s OK with Madonna. Madonna told me, ‘I want her to learn to argue and stand up for herself. And if she can stand up to me, she can stand up to anyone.'” [Photo: Getty Images]
