Nina Dobrev Says She And Ian Somerhalder Won’t Be Getting Hitched Soon, Kinda Disses Miley Cyrus

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev

While the Twi-hard world struggles to put the pieces back together following last week’s Kristen Stewart cheating news, fans of another vampire couple might be understandably wary of putting too much faith in their real-life romance. So far as we know, The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are still going strong. (And we’re reeeeallly hoping that now that Elena is a vampire, she’ll follow in the L.J. Smith books’ plot and fully fall for Damon onscreen too.) But that doesn’t mean that there are wedding bells in their near future, either.

“Eventually I am going to marry and have a family but not anytime soon,” she told Canada’s Fashion magazine, via “I’m not going to pull a Miley.”

Ashley Greene Covers Nylon Magazine, Just Wants To Do Her “Damn Job!”

Ashley Greene's August Nylon Magazine Cover

Ashley Greene‘s makeup on this August Nylon magazine cover is one of the better faces we’ve seen on her. Not that her face ever looks bad. We’re just sayin’ whoever created the look has done a pretty swell job. Got to love that strong, red lip! We’re just a bit perplexed by her pose. What’s up with the scrunched up arm, dudes? It’s a bit too emo for us. Perhaps they were setting her up for her sound byte about fame and all it’s trappings. “I got [to my casting], and there were cameras all around me. Everyone’s so obsessed with celebrity, I think more than ever before, ” she says, adding, “It’s the instant gratification of it — the tabloids an the Internet and the camera phones. We’re just so infatuated with it that basically everyone is a stalker. I was like, ‘Just let me do my damn job!'” You heard the woman! One of those jobs includes her role on The Apparition, due to release in late August this year. “… because I try to make everything as realistic as possible; I want to experience what the character is experiencing. So to make myself believe there was something after me … it was a dark time,”  she revealed about her stint shooting the movie. Yikes. We wouldn’t want to sleep alone in that frame of mind. But let’s face it, when you look like Ashley, sleeping alone is just an option, not a choice.

Jordin Sparks Is In The Best Shape Of Her Life

Jordin Sparks "Shape" Magazine August Cover

This is a treat for American Idol loyalists. One of the show’s most beloved winners has get herself a cover on Shape Magazine’s August issue. We’re talking about the fabulous Miss Jordin Sparks and all we can say about this shot is — dayum, girl! The sleeve feature an extremely svelte, but very fit looking Jordin killing it in a sexy purple bikini. Great hair and makeup add the finishing touches. This doesn’t even look mucho photoshopped, you know? She looks like herself. The body looks like it’s all hers even though we spy some smoothing touch-ups here and there. But they work done on a computer is completely minimal when compared to the work she’s done on herself — that much is pretty evident. Of her incredible 50 pound weight loss, Jordin has said, “I just wanted to be healthy. I remember thinking, ‘I’m in my prime. I should be happy and fit.’ That was the moment I decided that changes needed to be made.” And the great news is that the way she achieved those goals sound so healthy and balanced. Simple walking started off her regime, until she got confident enough to try hiking. Once she got used to that, and her body started changing, a gym and Zumba followed, as well as a change in diet. See? It was all slow and steady. No crazy, unhealthy diet fads. The proof is in the sugar-free pudding. You only have to look at her to realize that you shouldn’t have to shock your body into losing weight. It’s not a yo-yo!

Michael Fassbender And Charlize Theron’s W Magazine Spread Makes Us Fan Ourselves

Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender W Magazine August Spread

We’re not talking about the August W Magazine cover of Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron, guys. That released a few days ago, and you can see it here. It was steamy alright, but it did nothing to prepare us for the heat that lay on the pages inside the magazine. That gorgeous silver necklace Charlize is wearing on the cover, so visible thanks to the deep, plunging neckline of her Dior Archive dress, is by Tiffany & Co, FYI. If someone is feeling generous and would like to send it over a present, feel free. The newly released photo shoot of the two Prometheus stars is damp, sexy, slightly S&M and has us swooning. Not in a Mills & Boon kind of way, but in a Fifty Shades of Greykind of way, if you know what we mean. The cover story is pretty great two, with Fassbender and Theron both talking about life, movies and their friendship. A hilarious moment comes about when they’re asked, “What’s harder to do? A death scene or a sex scene?” Charlize replies, “It depends on who you’re doing the sex scene with. I don’t have issues being naked. That sounds very slutty.” But enough talk about reading and let’s talk photos again. Specifically the one that’s coming up after the jump. Warning: it’s Charlize in thigh-high stocking and Michael shirtless, again.  Read more…

Should Marie Claire Have Photoshopped A “Hyper-Real” Kate Middleton Onto Their Cover? Discuss

Kate Middleton On Fake "Marie Claire" South Africa Cover

I consider myself the Kate Middleton flag-bearer of this team. Seriously, you can see how much here. It’s total fangirl territory. So when I saw this latest Marie Claire South Africa cover of Kate, some alarm bells went off. First, because it just looked off. Secondly, and no offense or anything, but that does not look like an outfit Kate would wear. Turns out, I was right, because it isn’t Kate at all. The magazine has actually taken Photoshopping to the next level and the image is “a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion’s new royal icon.” The magazine is spinning this whole fake cover by saying, “We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern-day princess, which is why we elected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue.” Except, she didn’t really agree to be their cover star, so they just went ahead with it anyway? So, now we’ve come to a point where if we can’t get a royal or a celebrity on the cover, we just make an image up and call it a tribute? Is it just me, or is that not cool? There’s a whole system with actually contacting an individual, setting up dates and having them show up in flesh-and-blood and interviewing them. I’m a bit wary of an art department creating a cover out of nothing. I’d really like to hear your thoughts about this, because I find it rather disturbing that an entire team is being so gung-ho over the fact that their entire cover story has been spun out of composite imagery.

Allure Publishes Their Blandest Cover Yet, With Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale Allure August Cover

Allure is essentially a beauty magazine, so we can’t understand how they came up with this? They have Kate Beckinsale on their August cover, who is gorgeous. They also have access to the best products and makeup stylists, so no excuses again. How is it that they made such a lovely woman look so bland? We’re not saying they should have put her in teal eyeliner and fuchsia lips, but the combination of the dark brows, non-descript eyes and nude lips is just completely blah. And that smile looks forced. Somebody give the woman a tube of lip gloss, please? Luckily, some of the shots inside make up for the cover, and Kate also compensates by jumping off the page with her personality. She has a laugh about herself, especially with regard to her upcoming film, Total Recall, saying, “It’s an odd trajectory, I’ll give you that. If you’d asked me when I was at Oxford, ‘Do you think you’ll ever be running up and down holding a machine gun as a bad guy in a big American movie?’ I would have said, ‘God, no!'” Which also subtly reminds the ready that this beauty has brains thanks to the Oxford name-drop.

The laughs continue with her talking about her training regime, which we’re guessing also applies for the Underworld series. “On the first day, they took me out and said, ‘We just want to kind of get a sense of where you’re at. So let’s just see how you run,'” she says. “They had me run across the parking lot. I ran like a girl, with my arms up, so that had to be knocked out of me. Then it was ‘All right, let’s see you throw a punch.’ I did, and therefore earned myself a couple months of boxing training.” Badass, beautiful and brainy — this woman deserved a better cover, Allure peeps! It’s not particularly … alluring.

Michael Phelps Goes Shirtless For Details Magazine And It’s A Seriously Good Look For Him

Michael Phelps On Details Magazine Cover

Considering this story comes hot on the heels of ESPN‘s body issue, posted yesterday, and Scarlett Johansson in a bikini, published today, our self-esteem is hitting an all-time low. Michael Phelps in on the cover of Details magazine’s August issue, and he is looking slamming! He’s giving his buddy, fellow Olympic swimmer and mega hottie Ryan Lochte some serious competition, and not just in the water, if you know what we mean. The article also deals with that marijuana issue that threatened to derail Phelps’ career three years ago. Of what went down, Michael says, “It was a learning experience. I’m the kind of person who has to go through the learning experiences myself. Somebody could tell me, ‘If you eat this much you’ll be fat,’ and I’d be like, ‘Yeah, okay, let me try it.’ Growing up, my mom taught us to make our own decisions, but also that you have to pay for the consequences of those decisions. I’m thankful for that. I’ll be the first to say I’ve made thousands of mistakes, but I’ve never made the same mistake twice.”

He also talks about how he picked himself up after the enormous backlash that hit him after the picture went public. “I realized that I probably hadn’t reached my full potential. There was still more in the tank,” he says, adding. “As I come to closure on my career, am I going to look back in 20 years and say, ‘What if?’ That’s something I don’t want. This is it. I’ve always said I wouldn’t swim past 30. I don’t want to be that guy who’s hanging on, but I want to reach my max potential. I don’t care how much pain I have to go through or the sacrifices I have to make. I’ll get it.” A little more than two weeks to go for the Olympics. We wish him luck!

Emma Stone Rocks Vogue‘s World, First Covers The U.S Edition And Now The U.K

Emma Stone Covers Vogue U.K

Are we going to see any covers that don’t have Emma Stone on them in the next few months? Because she’s just everywhere lately. Not that we’re complainingg. We love her and her sartorial sense so much that we compiled an entire of all Emma’s looks from The Amazing Spider-Man premieres across the globe. She’s also clearly become Vogue‘s darling. Emma was featured, looking stunningly sexy and wide-eyed on the July cover of the U.S edition of the magazine wearing a coffee colored Nina Ricci dress with black lace accents. Ms. Stone’s eyes are amazing, as well — a pale, clear jade. Which have now been turned into a aqua for her latest Vogue U.K August cover. She’s now literally their blue-eyed girl. Contacts, or Photoshop? It’s an edgy cover shot by the legendary Patrick Demarchelier. We love the black Max Mara newsboy cap lowered seductively over the eyes, and it goes perfectly with the black-and-white houndstooth jumper, also by the brand. The interview has been conducted by Brit style maven Alexa Chung and according to the mag, Emma’s discussing, “sex scenes, suffering from anxiety and the problems with fame.” The inside spread is pretty spectacular too — we’re loving the slightly retro tone and is that a quote by Taylor Swift we see in the last scan?

Mila Kunis Looks Gorgeous On The Cover Of Elle UK, Discusses Ashton Kutcher Rumors

Mila Kunis Covers Elle UK August Issue

You got to love a girl who can talk about poop, as Mila Kunis does, and is able to look that good most of her waking time on this planet. Hell, she probably looks that good asleep! And while we’ve all seen plenty of pictures of her roaming the street looking damningly awesome in jeans and no makeup, you can’t beat a fully styled Mila. She’s on the cover of Elle UK‘s August issue wearing a plunging Dior embroidered gown. Check out that sloe-eyed, come hither stare! The cover was shot by Doug Inglish in L.A and the woman actually had the gall to discuss the fact that she’s “not good at sexy.” This cover begs to differ. Mila also talks about all the rumors swirling around her and Ashton Kutcher as well as past buzz with Justin Timberlake. Speaking of which, that cover line, “Casual Sex Is Back, Can You Handle It?” totally feels like a nod to her movie with Timberlake, Friends With Benefits. Mila also discusses the fact that the Olsen twins line, “The Row” is far too pricey. We agree. A backpack for $35,000? Come on. Wait … do you think Mila secretly has one?

Anne Hathaway Discusses Her Various Transformations For Film Roles In Allure Cover Story

Anne Hathaway Covers July Issue Of Allure Magazine

How are we feeling about this July Allure cover of Anne Hathaway? We actually find the photographs inside the magazine — like the one we have on the right — far sexier than the picture chosen for the face of the magazine. We’re fans of the thick cat-eye eyeliner, the tousled hair, the strong eyebrows, as well as the black Alexander Wang top she has on. The cover itself has much of the same makeup, but she isn’t selling it. The expression — which we think was supposed to be a soft, serene smile — looks flat. But it’s nice to see her long hair again, since Anne has been sporting a buzz cut for her Les Miserables role of late.

She’s dishing on her various film roles in the cover story, which is interesting to read. Of her unforgiving latex suit for her portrayal as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, the actress moans, “[It was] a psychological terrorist… the suit, thoughts of my suit, changing my life so I would fit into that suit… it dominated my year. I went into the gym for ten months and didn’t come out.” Add to that, her crazy regime for Les Miserables, and you have one very … hungry woman. She explains, “I’m doing some crazy weight stuff right now… I’m on day six of detox … this diet makes me break out, so I love that. Nothing like living on hummus and radishes and then being all like ‘And I got a pimple’ Yeah.” The things people do for art, huh? We couldn’t. And we’re not putting down this Snickers bar, either.
