Christina Hendricks Is Two Much On The Cover Of The Hollywood Reporter

Christina Hendricks, The Hollywood Reporter cover

We’re always happy when we see Christina Hendricks on the cover of a magazine. More, we say! She is, in our opinion, one of the sexiest women on the planet. You know who else agrees with us? Esquire who named Christina their “best-looking woman in America” in 2010. The Hollywood Reporter is on board as well, putting the lovely actress on their cover this week. We love the fact that they’ve been shining the spotlight on strong, female actors recently. Remember the cover with all the TV actresses last week? This is the perfect time to have Christina — who looks starkly beautiful in a low-cut, long-sleeved black dress — on the face of the magazine as well. Have you been watching Mad Men recently? Without giving anything away, our jaws have been hitting the floor, especially with the last two episodes.

Don’t read the piece if you haven’t watched, because the first paragraph itself has a major spoiler. But, the main body of the article is broader deals with everything about her role as Joan Holloway on the show and her castmate’s opinions about her — as a character and as a woman. “I thought Joan was such a bitch, and I struggled sometimes trying to make her as real as possible because I thought, who would be so mean?” says Christina. John Slattery, who plays Roger Sterling, provides another opinion. “People want to think because of how stunning she is that she’s just this torpedo, but she’s way more complicated than that, ” he says, adding, “My first scene was walking in with Don Draper at the end of a scene in which she’s telling Peggy to, ‘Go home, take a paper bag, tear out two eye holes and put it over your head.’ I didn’t know what I was getting myself into until I saw her. It was that scene that kind of woke me up to the potential for this whole thing.” Now, watch the episodes if you haven’t already so we can discuss more!

Glamorous Kristen Stewart Shuts It Down On The Cover Of Vanity Fair

Kristen Stewart, Vanity Fair, July Issue

We can’t stop staring at this photograph of Kristen Stewart on the cover of Vanity Fair‘s July issue. It positively drips glamor! And it’s not like we’ve been starved of gorgeous K.Stew images around these parts. She’s been covering every possible magazine for the last couple of months, and each new one has been a completely different, awesome, look. Remember the recent Interview stunner with Charlize Theron? Or the chic drag shots in Elle? Let’s not forget how louche and sexy the Jalouse cover with Garrett Hedlund was, as well. But this one for Vanity Fair, we reckon, is in a league of its own. More so, because of the interview, which has a fair share of fighting words from the actress.

“I have been criticized a lot for not looking perfect in every photograph. I get some serious sh— about it. I’m not embarrassed about it. I’m proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker!” Kristen says, adding, “That thought embarrasses me so much that I look like sh— in half my photos, and I don’t give a f—. What matters to me is that the people in the room leave and say, ‘She was cool. She had a good time. She was honest.’ I don’t care about the voracious, starving s— eaters who want to turn truth into sh—. Not that you can say that in Vanity Fair!” She did say it in Vanity Fair and we’re applauding her for saying it.

Claire Danes, January Jones And More Of Our Fave TV Actresses Class Up The Hollywood Reporter

Hollywood Reporter Cover, TV actresses

This is quite a cover. We have Claire Danes, Mireille Enos, January Jones, Julianna Margulies, Emmy Rossum and Kyra Sedgwick looking so incredibly elegant on next month’s The Hollywood Reporter. That’s HomelandThe Killing, Mad Men, The Good WifeShameless and The Closer repped respectively. Talk about your power television sextet. We know these lovely ladies all do films as well, but the TV angle is the one that smacks you in the face. The interview — or round table discussion — has everything from Jones discussing “Fat Betty” to Rossum talking nude scenes to Enos talking about kissing Brad Pitt. That last bit especially caught our attention, with the actress admitting, “Is it wrong to admit that having to kiss Brad Pitt was very, very terrifying? It was on World War Z, which I shot last summer and it was the second day of shooting.” We’d take her place anytime.

We actually laughed out loud at January’s description of the moment she first saw the heavier version of her Mad Men character onscreen. “I saw it on the air, paused it and went screaming into the other room,” she jokes. And where else are you going to get Emmy saying, with regard to her nude scenes, “But originally, when they made the contract it was like, “You will show partial side boob, you will show two cheeks …” Julianna chimed in with, “Those contracts are always so funny.” Read the full interview here to get your fix, because it gets much funnier.

David Beckham Is The First Male Celebrity Ever To Get A Solo Cover On Elle

David Beckham, first male solo cover ever on Elle magazine

… And what a shot it is. David Beckham is on the cover of Elle UK‘s July issue. He’s their first ever solo male cover celebrity and the decision was made in honor of the impending Olympic Games to be held in London. And they’ve gone all out. There’s so much testosterone oozing out of the image that we want to fan ourselves. We all know that Beckham is pretty frickin’ gorgeous. But this Beckham is shirtless, with his ab’s out in all their splendor, soaking wet, and in tight Dior Homme leather pants. It’s almost too much to handle. It’s no wonder that his wife, Victoria Beckham, tweeted, “Looking good on ELLEUK!!!! X vb” along with a picture of the cover.

She isn’t the only one who wants to write sonnets about buff Becks. The magazine themselves seem to be very proud of themselves — for good reason, we may add. “David Beckham is a national hero. He is an icon and Elle is known for featuring icons on its cover. This is a first for us on the newsstand and I believe he is loved by men and women alike,” says the editor-in-chief Lorraine Candy. “Anyway, who doesn’t want to see a picture of one of the world’s most handsome men on the front cover of a magazine? …” On another note, we find the quote given by Beckham quite hilarious. He says,  “How would I sum myself up? I don’t know, I prefer other people to do that. Erm… a little bit shy.” Right … shy. With that cover? We don’t think so!

Andrew Garfield Is All About The Sexy Stare On The Cover Of GQ

Andrew Garfield GQ UK cover

There are few people who can do the intense stare as well as Andrew Garfield can. Remember this Spider-man photo? Emma Stone didn’t stand a chance! We’re very happy to report that a version of that famous stare is now … staring … straight at us off the cover of GQ UK’s June cover. We’re giggling over the fact that the cover line is “Fly Guy,” but can’t deny the fact that it is the truth. Andrew Garfield is pretty flippin’ fly.

We’re also loving the snippets of the interview that have been revealed so far. The one that made us laugh out loud was when he described what happened during a moment where he was about to Google search himself. Apparently, his dog put his paw on Garfield’s hand, almost as if he was admonishing him. Garfield says, “[It was as if he was saying] ‘No! Don’t do it!’ and I looked at him and said, ‘All right. You’re right.’ And I didn’t.” There’s another quote that also made our ovaries explode so, fair warning.  When asked if Garfield ever wanted kids, he replies, “I’d love to be a dad! I’d love to. But I want to be sure of what my value system is before that happens.” Emma is one lucky, lucky woman.

Bruce Wills Adds A Shot Of Testosterone To The Cover Of Esquire

Bruce Willis Covers Esquire

This interview — and it’s a long one, folks — was clearly written before Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, gave birth. “All I want right now is to be with her, to stare at her belly,” he tells the interviewer. Right now, all he wants to do, probably, is to stare at his newborn daughter, Mabel Rae, of which a twitpic has already been posted by Emma. Adorable! But, this wasn’t the situation when Bruce sat down for this interview which accompanies his cover shot of Esquire’s June-July issue. This chat is all about the movies. But on another note, we’d like to add that we appreciate the styling of the cover. It’s simple and classic with a T-shirt and boots by John Varvatos, Calvin Klein jeans and a Paul Smith belt. No frills, no fuss. Sounds like Bruce!

He’s a very, very busy man these days. Apart from being a new dad, he’s got five films out this year — Wes Anderson‘s Moonrise Kingdom, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Expendables 2,The Cold Light of Day with Sigourney Weaver, and Looper, a “return for Willis to visionary science fiction.” He’s also going to start filming the fifth installment of  Die Hard. “I had to think about what I won’t say,” Willis states, “as much as considering what I think is important about the work of these movies.” But then, the interviewer, Tom Chiarella, finally gets an in when Bruce reveals, “I’ve been through enough of these, enough of these to know. I get cranked up, I start talking about Hollywood and what’s wrong with what. Or politics. I might start in on Mitt Romney.” Willis talking movies and talking Romney? It’s a must-read.

Out Magazine Tells You “Why You Should Be Crushing On Channing Tatum”

Channing Tatum for Out Magazine

We’ve been saying over and over again, that this is Channing Tatum‘s year. Yesterday, we posted his cheeky EW cover with his Magic Mike crew, which had us pretty much fanning ourselves. But that’s just the beginning for Tatum. With Magic Mike out next month, everyone wants a slice of the star. The searing photograph you see above is the cover of Out magazine’s June-July issue. The long interview about him is titled, “From Stripper to Superstar,” so you know exactly what it’s going to be about, right?

Not quite, because the article opens with a series of quotes that really got our attention. Stuff like, “With Joe Manganiello naked in a movie, I think even straight guys are going to be, ‘Shit, I need to see that. That man is a specimen.'”  Or, “Elton John had his hand up my ass the other night.” That probably went down when Elton and Channing got some sexy time onstage dancing at the Revlon Concert for the Rainforest in New York last month. When writer Aaron Hicklin asked what that was like, Channing’s response was, “Like any other hand up my ass, but more knightly. I can check that box now. It falls under the umbrella of doing sexual sh– with Elton John in public. I’m sure I’m not the first.” See what we mean? Add to that his hilarious “texture” issues with fruits and vegetables — “F— eggplant — it’s too spongy. I hate spongy stuff.” — and you’ve got yourself a nice little afternoon read.

Michael Fassbender Makes Us Weak In The Knees On The Cover Of June’s GQ

Michael Fassbender GQ June Cover

What more can one say about this? It’s Michael Fassbender, staring at you with those icy blue eyes, on the cover of the June edition of GQ. It’s enough to make you go completely slack-jawed. When we recovered enough to start writing this piece, our research took us to the his photo shoot inside the magazine. Bad move. Because it took us another 15 minutes to recover. It’s pretty hot, guys. There’s a reason why the cover line says, “Amp Up Your Sex Appeal — Learn From This Guy — Michael Fassbender.”  The interview itself is a bit old, even though the cover shot is very new. It’s a fab piece, still, in which Michael talks about his love for metal and how he looked the part back in the day — “I had long hair, down to here … [he says, holding his hand level with his chest] …ten-hole Doc Martens, and combat shorts cut at the knee.” But if that’s distracting you from looking at the photographs, don’t bother. We totally understand!

The Original Spidey, Tobey Maguire Interviews Current Spidey, Andrew Garfield For V Man

Andrew Garfield Cover V-Man, Interviewed By Tobey Maguire

Before we get into anything else, can we please just say how delicious Andrew Garfield looks on the June cover of V Man? We’re crushing hard-core. What’s really awesome about this spread, though, other than the pictures, is the fact that they got the original Spider-Man himself, Tobey Maguire to interview Andrew. How cool is that? It’s like — Peter Parker, meet Peter Parker! The whole piece is quite conversational in nature and full of them cracking jokes. For instance when Tobey, laughingly, asks Andrew, “Would that be the release of The Amazing Spider-Man?!” and Andrew replies, “That’s the one! Do you know about this movie?”

The conversation reveals the actors’ mutual admiration, as Tobey responded to that previous statement, “I do know about it! Actually, when it was coming together, I was particularly excited at two moments: One was when [director] Marc Webb got involved. I think he’s an interesting and cool choice. And then I was certainly curious as to who was going to play Peter Parker. When I heard it was you, I was literally like, F— perfect!” The two also chat about the audition process for the role, and how physically demanding it is, while comparing notes about their own particular experiences. We have to say, it sounds kind of grueling, emotionally and mentally more than anything!

Ke$ha Raises The Flag High On V Magazine’s Americana Cover

Ke$ha Covers V Magazine'z Americana Issue

You won’t be able to miss V Magazine‘s Americana issue, out on newsstands on May 10, even if you wanted to. The cover features Ke$ha‘s face with tricked out big hair, like a lion’s mane, and her face painted with the Stars & Stripes. It’s colorful and almost hypnotic. We never thought we’d call someone who pees on the street hypnotic, but there you have it.

The magazine’s editorial team published a bit on why they chose the singer to cover the issue, amid the regular explanations of the magazine’s contents. They said, “In this edition of V you’ll find historic fashion figures, musical geniuses, and a fair amount of kitsch. Our cover star, the indomitable Ke$ha (shot by Inez & Vinoodh and styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele), ticks all three of the aforementioned boxes.” They also propped her up, adding, “Not only is she fearless with her style, but as the self-made songstress from Tennessee reveals to senior editor Patrik Sandberg, she is equally passionate about her loyal fanbase and her furry four-legged friends. ”

Ke$ha herself reveals a hilarious take on what she thinks about her image in the magazine, stating, “I do feel like there are the pop stars of the world and then I’m like their dirty little sister, running around with sh– on my face in combat boots because I can’t walk in heels.” As far as quotes go, we have to applaud the self-effacing honesty of it. What do you guys think of her cover?
