Thank you, Details, for putting Jeremy Renner on your December cover. It’s like an early Christmas present! We weren’t too happy that we haven’t seen the actor covering many magazines lately. The interview was conducted as he was shooting The Bourne Legacy, and if that doesn’t scream “tough guy,” then the fact that he’s studied Filipino stick fighting and Muay Thai martial arts should. But then again, he’s played a multitude of macho characters including Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and the upcoming The Avengers, following his Oscar-nominated breakout role in The Hurt Locker. So where exactly does professional makeup artist fit in? Yep, he’s been one in the past. And that makes us love him even more. Imagine: He looks awesome in a suit, but would also be able to do up your face before a big premiere.
Kellan Lutz and his new girlfriend, Sharni Vinson, flew down to Sydney for the the GQ Australia Men of the Year Awards, yesterday. We’re loving native Aussie Sharni’s Alex Perry dress and shoes, and Kellan — with or without a koala in his hands — makes us melt. And although, sadly, he didn’t win any awards (and nor did she), they were joined on the red carpet by the Actor of the Year and the Woman of the Year, Alex O’Loughlin and Rachael Taylor. So basically, everyone on the little gallery below is remarkably hot. Happy Wednesday!
Do not hate us for putting up this photograph of Nicole Scherzinger‘s December Shape magazine cover. We’re all a month away from making our New Year resolutions and need to get inspired by forces of natures — like Nicole’s abs. God has really been kind to this woman. And sad as her breakup from Lewis Hamilton was, coming up with a cover like that right after the split is a case of excellent timing.
If any of you have been following Nicole as a judge on The X Factor like we have, then you know she isn’t afraid of standing up to one Mr Cowell. But her remarks about the judges in the magazine are all sweetness and light, and we wish the ex-Pussycat would get her claws out. Of her three co-judges she says, “I think we’re a good mix. Simon is empowering and encouraging. L.A. is very giving and inspiring. And Paula is as sweet in person as she seems on TV. As for me, well, sometimes I’m nice, and sometimes I’m not. I definitely watch the contestants with a very careful eye.” Nicole, gurl, it looks like you’re too hot … because your pants are on fire.
Well, well, well. Look who we have giving smolder-face off the cover of Entertainment Weekly. It’s Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart which is a no-brainer considering all the hype around The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. And they’re giving dish on the movie, especially on that love scene that has us all in a tizzy. Robert revealed, “There’s a version where it was really intense.” Kristen adds, “Cinematically, cut all together, it’s awesome. But we didn’t really do that scene.” Rob then pitches in with, “And when we did, they kept telling us to stop.” PG-13 can be such a killjoy.
Kristen also talks about wishing she hadn’t had to tone down the birth scene. She says, “That’s what I’m really disappointed about — and I’ve talked about it with Bill. It was more sympathetic or something when I played the scene with less energy, and it made it easier for him to tell the story.” It’s a different story altogether in the book, where, as Kristen put it, “Bella is screaming, ‘NOOOOO!’ And I did it like that — crazy and Exorcist-like. I was going for this weird mix of turning into the most feral mother you can imagine and also fighting for my own life. I mean, I was a nutcase. I was an absolute nutcase.” There’s a lot more there, EW promises, but we’ll have to wait for the issue out tomorrow.

Nikki Reed‘s beaming on the December cover of Seventeen magazine, but on the topic of her Twilight castmates she isn’t exactly full of sunshine. We’re so used to seeing them chummy on red carpets, that we’d all like to believe that they’re BFFs in real life. That’s not always the case, as Nikki clarifies in the interview, “In the beginning, it was innocent and fun, and we were like one big happy family –– it was like being at sleepaway camp. And then success comes along and changes the dynamic.” That’s when we cutaway to a shot of the actress looking moodily into the future with a dramatic swell of music in the background. Easy now, we kid.
But after Breaking Dawn, the actress realistically said that not all on-set relationships will spill over to real life. “We’re not all best friends, and we’re not all going to hang out together after the final movie is done.” Does that include Kristen Stewart? Those two used to be besties, but we haven’t heard a peep about them in a while. “She makes really good dessert,” is what Nikki answered when asked what she’d miss about KStew the most. That’s it? There’s got to be more to miss!
The second we saw Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart in the Snow White and the Huntsman trailer, we’ve been obsessing. We think the fact that they play mortal enemies onscreen, does not mean that they shouldn’t be BFF in real life. And by that we mean that in our heads, these two are besties. Charlize’s December Vogue cover interview is responsible for that. We’re not even going to get into how amazo she looks because it’s not like all of you aren’t aware that she’s a 5-foot, 10-inch knockout.
A fair amount of the interview deals with her new film, Young Adult, but then segues into her relationship with Kristen and what it was like working with her. “She just turned 21. She’s a child,” says Charlize. “When I think about myself at 21, I had just done The Devil’s Advocate, and Keanu [Reeves] had paparazzi following him and Al Pacino said this thing to me: ‘If I knew that my life would be under this kind of scrutiny, I would have never become an actor.’ And Kristen is just living this to the max and still has a sense of humor about it.”
The next part is what convinced us that these two are homies. Charlize summed Kristen up with, “There’s this really lovely quality about her that just doesn’t give a f—. A lot of people say they don’t, but then they go home and cry and pop a Xanax. Kristen actually doesn’t give a f—. That’s what’s so refreshing about her. I’m looking forward to killing her and taking her beauty. That’s what happens, right?” Yeah, we know. Soul mates.
Madonna‘s film W.E has been in the news a fair amount, mostly because … it’s Madonna’s film. All the attention directed towards it — as if Madge needed anymore — had landed the singer on the December cover of Harper’s Bazaar along with the movie’s leading leady, Andrea Riseborough, a very lovely, youthful 30-year-old. Madonna on the other hand, is looking like a very lovely, youthful 53-year-old. God bless magazine covers for being fountains of youth, right? It’s like gravity, sun damage and a ticking clock don’t exist.
The interview itself, which profiles the singer and her directorial journey with W.E., is very Madonna, and we thoroughly enjoyed one quote in particular. She told the writer, Naomi Wolf, “For some reason, I feel like I never left high school, because I still feel that if you don’t fit in, you’re going to get your ass kicked.” See? She’s just like the rest of us. Only without wrinkles.

Kristen Stewart‘s gorgeous mug made it onto four different magazine covers this past month, each with an entirely different look. Glamour gave us girl-next-door Kristen, W won us over with gothic, ’60s-inspired glam, GQ U.K. was an homage to Old Hollywood style and Glamour U.K.’s shoot was edgy and electric, with a rock-and-roll feel. Asking you to pick a favorite is like the Sophie’s Choice of magazine covers, but we have to do it. Yes, they are all stunning and so very different, but surely there’s one that you love just a little more than the rest. Go on, vote in our poll below the jump. Because really, any cover with Kristen on it is a winner in our eyes.
We’re happy to see Jennifer Lopez looking so radiant on the cover of Glamour magazine’s December issue. The shots have emerged just days after J.Lo broke down onstage at a concert in Connecticut. So this is great timing — the world needs to see happy, smiling Jen after her composure cracked so publicly. The interview itself is quite upbeat and hopeful (though also a tad PSA-ish, but everyone loves those). “I think I’ve finally learned the biggest lesson of all. You’ve got to love yourself first. You’ve got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else,” she says. “You’ve got to value yourself and know that you’re worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can’t really have a healthy relationship.” Preach, sistah! We feel a song coming out of that speech. She gets top marks for that tan decolletage and fabulous hair too. There are more shots of Jennifer on Glamour’s Facebook page in case you’re so inclined.

How hot it this shot of Ashley Greene in Allure? We love the cobalt blue corseted Zac Posen dress, the big hair and it goes without saying that throwing a drink in a man’s face gets our vote of approval too. Ashley kept apologizing to the male model after every take, which is hilariously sweet! The actress is also on the cover of the magazine and talks about the good stuff: men!
She dismisses any rumors of those claws coming out between her and Demi Lovato over Joe Jonas, saying, “She and I never had a problem with each other. But, you know, it doesn’t go away…. Jen Aniston still gets asked about Angelina Jolie.” She’s also completely denied that anything’s going on with Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane, stating, “Seth and I are friends, and he texts me: ‘I didn’t know that not only were we dating, but we have since been confirmed to not be dating.’ I can assure you that we’re not.” She practically linked up with every guy she’s photographed with! Considering they’re all pretty hot, it’s not the worst thing in the world. Saving best for last though, Ashley does a spot on Robert Pattinson-in-the-spotlight imitation, with, “Rob. Oh, Rob. He’s very endearing, but you’ve seen his interviews. He’s like, ‘Ah, I don’t know…. Oh, God’.”
If a photograph isn’t enough for you, check out her behind-the-scenes video at the cover shoot!
