Tony Danza (or maybe Judith Light) may have been the boss on Who’s The Boss, by Alyssa Milano was always the best. For those of you 90s babies out there, the gorgeous grownup actress that we all know today got her start as the adorable Samantha Micelli on the long running sitcom. Teen super-stardom soon followed, complete with a record deal, made for TV specials starring Jason Bateman, and shoulder rubbing with a baby Neil Patrick Harris, Corey Feldman and other Reagan-era royalty. Don’t believe us? We’ve got the evidence right here! She’s long since moved on to more “adult” roles on screens small and large. She appeared for two seasons on Melrose Place before finding a new generation of fans as Phoebe Halliwell on Charmed. Most recently, she was one of the approximately three billion A-listers who appeared in the rom-com to end all rom-coms, New Years Eve. It’s hard to believe, but Alyssa turns 40 years old today! To celebrate, we’ve decided to take a look back at 20 awesome throwback photos from her Who’s The Boss era. Enjoy!

As though the gallery we posted yesterday of Heather Locklear through the years wasn’t jaw-dropping enough, the MILF poster child hit the beach with her fiance (and fellow Melrose Place alum) Jack Wagner. At times donning nothing but an itsy bitsy black polka dot bikini, Locklear was in tip-top form, with not a dimple to be seen. Fitness has always been a priority for the TV starlet (check out her scrunchy-socked workout video) and it seems her dedication to the gym is continuing to pay off. Lookin’ good! Just after her sister Ashlee Simpson was fired from Melrose Place, Jessica Simpson took to Twitter to slam the program. “CW catching up on MP. Who writes this crap? I have had bad scripts to work with, but this? Thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press,” she wrote.
Funny, just less than two weeks ago, Jessica was rallying her Twitter followers to watch the show. “Everyone watch my sis on Melrose Place tonight,” she wrote on October 20th. A source claims Ashlee was canned because she can’t act. “They hired her because they needed a good name to create buzz, ” a “set insider” claims. “She’s the worst actress, but nobody will tell her.” [Source: Us Weekly; Photo: Getty Images]
There was a lot of glitz and glam at the “Melrose Place” premiere, and like it’s sister show, “90210,” some of the original stars are back for the reboot. Original stars like Daphne Zuniga, Josie Bissett and Laura Leighton returned, presumably to show the new generation their “throwing your nemesis into a pool” moves. The next generation of stars living at the famed apartment complex was also on hand, including Ashlee Simpson, Katie Cassidy and Jessica Stroup. The show premieres on the CW on September 8.
