We know that all celeb kids are cute. Obviously. We have eyes with which to see. It’s just that some celeb kids have a preternaturally developed sense of style, while the rest of us are wearing old soccer t-shirts with grape juice stains. As adults. So while we are more than happy to squee over the most shabbily dressed bundle of joy, we’d like to give props to the Best of 2012 celeb kids and babies, from Moroccan Scott Cannon to Suri Cruise, who will be dictating what America will be wearing in five to ten years. Or right now. We already feel compelled to wear short pants, bow ties and pull-ups. Don’t tell us we can’t because we already stopped listening!

We love sexy orthodontists and zombie Paul Ryans as much as the best person, but the best kind of costume would have to be the kid costume. Lady bugs, teddy bears, pumpkins, more teddy bears: there is nothing more adorable then a screaming, candy-filled kid on Halloween (provided, of course, they are not our kid.) Luckily, celebrities seem agree and have taken the Tums and migraine medication necessary to take their offspring out on the town in costume for us to squee over. They’re all super cute, but between Monroe and Moroccan Cannon and Honor Warren, we think we found the ten definitive cutest. Really. They’re like the Avengers of cute kid Halloween photos.
How could anyone keep up an arbitrary feud when they have cuteness like this in their lives, right? Not that we’re suggesting the timing of the release of another batch of super-adorbs pics of Moroccan and Monroe Cannon is in any way related to Mariah Carey quashing rumors that she’s feuding with fellow new American Idol judge Nicki Minaj. It’s just a very good argument in favor of Mariah being a sweet and fun mama, not the diva she’s been painted as.
“How are we gonna feud in two days? A feud takes a little longer to spread out [than that],” Carey told MTV News as she sat with the rest of the judges before taping auditions in New York on Monday. “It’s fun, it’s music, it’s singing, it’s laughter,” she added of what her first few days as a judge have been like.
And now for your own fun, and cooing pleasure, here are the “Dem Babies” photos Mariah and hubby Nick Cannon released yesterday, the proceeds from which will go to the Fresh Air Fund’s Camp Mariah.
As you book your brunches, scramble to order flowers, pick out the perfect card and all those other things you have to do before Mother’s Day this Sunday, we had a little revelation: Maybe our moms should be thanking US for a change.* We have arrived at this conclusion because of the very wise words of celebrity ladies, who, shockingly, appear to really, really like having children. The latest comes from a tweet brand-new mom Jessica Simpson wrote last night: “I am so in love with baby Maxwell. I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I’ve ever experienced,” she wrote.
Interesting fact: Jessica may have cribbed this line from someone else. Or all of the people. But specifically, Miranda Kerr who said this year of having baby Flynn: “I love it, I really love it. … He’s the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Oh, celebrities, why must you insist on making the rest of us look bad? Just over six months after giving birth to cuter than cute twins Morocco and Monroe, Mariah Carey is flaunting a hotter than hot body on the cover of Us Weekly.
But OK, she’s not trying to make us look bad. She’s just doing her job as new spokesperson for Jenny (f.k.a. Jenny Craig), and presumably trying to inspire us follow her example.
During pregnancy, Mariah told USA Today, she had edema, a painful retention of fluid in the tissue. “My legs looked three times the size of what my legs do right now. I thought I would never be the same person again.”
While Jessica Simpson is off maybe possibly selling her hugely surprising pregnancy news to OK! for a reported half a million, we have to applaud the latest move from Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. After showing off Monroe and Moroccan on 20/20 last Friday, they launched a website, DemBabies.com, that features photos absolutely designed to make your womb ache. Also, they are designed so that you can purchase them from WireImage.com, and the proceeds go to the Fresh Air Fund’s Camp Mariah.
“We deliberated for so long about how to reveal the first pictures of our babies to the world,” reads a message on the site. “We just didn’t want to do the typical thing and display them in a tabloid (not that there’s anything wrong with that ).”
Check out two more pics after the jump. Do it for the kids!
Mariah Carey is letting it all hang out tonight, and not in her usual belly shirt and pigtails sort of way. In addition to introducing twin babies Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon to the world, Mariah Carey’s 20/20 interview, airing this evening, reportedly touches on everything from her experience with IVF and the miscarriage she and Nick Cannon suffered prior to conceiving her twins, which Carey described as “really tough” to get through, to the five-year marriage to record exec Tommy Mottola that made her “afraid of the concept of marriage.” Ugh, remember him? The sweet, sweet presence of Nick Cannon almost wiped him from our memory completely. Almost.
Despite the hardships they’ve had to deal with, Mariah and Nick are making this relationship work. “But this is a different situation and … I’m a different person,” Carey explains. “It’s a different time in my life. And nobody will ever be able to steal my spirit again. So I’m just happy to be in love and to be here. ” Hearing how happy Mariah is just makes us want to put on our cutoffs and slow-motion rollerblade down the boardwalk with glee. Just watch out for that insane clown! And no, we do not mean Tommy Mottola!

Aww. We’re going to have to wait until Friday to see Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s babies, Moroccan and Monroe, from the front on ABC’s 20/20. And that’s when we’ll apologize to little Roc and Roe for forgetting about them while we’ve been counting down the days until Babyonce is born. We didn’t mean it!
In the meantime, we’ll distract you with pics of other super-cute celeb offspring. And to see just how much you know about famous kids, we’ll leave their names off until the very end. No peeking!
Mariah Carey’s twin’s names have dropped, and as to be expected, Mimi didn’t trifle with names that any other baby in the hospital would have. Or any other baby on the planet. The tiniest divas have been dubbed Moroccan Scott “Roc” Cannon and Monroe Cannon. It’s ain’t Apple, but we’re guessing unless you are some kind of infant clairvoyant, you just lost the office pool. We almost want to make you guess which sex goes with which name, but since we don’t want to torture you more than Mariah and Nick Cannon have already, we’ll tell you that Moroccan Scott is the boy and Monroe is the girl. Earlier today Mariah Carey fans guessed the twins’ names based solely on the hint that they started with the letter M. Were we the only ones convinced Mariah was going to go the George Foreman route and name both kids Mimi? You know it crossed your mind.
Reports CNN, Carey’s son is so named because “The top tier of Mariah’s New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room, because of the Moroccan-inspired decor. It’s also the place where Nick proposed to his wife, overlooking Manhattan!” Monroe is, of course, named after the late, great Marilyn Monroe. Count down to every kindergartner in the Western Hemisphere having those names in five…four…three…and somewhere in North Dakota, another Moroccan Scott is born.
