For someone who is on the verge of mega-stardom, The Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson could not be a more easygoing, earnest and sweet guy to talk too. Seriously, some actors are good at laying it on thick and rolling out manufactured answers, but talking to Josh is like chatting with a friend. Kinda reminds me of another interview favorite whose name rhymes with Robert Pattinson. Wait, that is his name. Well, you catch my drift.
I was given two questions with Josh at the People’s Choice Awards, but as you can see in the video above, I just kept talking as he headed on to his next interview. I’m not gonna lie, guys, I was kinda tongue-tied and nervous. I’ve been waiting to talk to this dude for so long and am SO excited to see him as Peeta that my mouth turned to mush when he sauntered up to my spot on the carpet. It was like finally speaking to the guy you’ve had a crush on for months and then being too freaked out to form a sentence. But I did manage to ask him a few things: about his bond with Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence, his favorite scene to shoot in the movie, that kiss, and if he gets freaked out by the fame and Team Peeta movement. He’s all yours in the video above.
You know who we had a blast talking to on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet? Tia (on the right) and Tamera Mowrey, stars of your favorite childhood show Sister, Sister, that’s who. They were fun and adorable and finished each other’s sentences like proper twins. And they have their own reality show on the Style Network, called Tia &Tamera, of course, so you too can OD on their cuteness. Tamera confessed she was excited to see Robert Pattinson because she’s a huge Twilight nerd (welcome to the club, girl), and that led us down the road of gushing over Rob and Kristen Stewart‘s cute couple steeze. And gush we did!
“They’re both really edgy and romantic at the same time,” Tia explained of Robsten’s appeal. “They’re romantic, but it’s not that corny, whimsical kind of romance.”

We the people, vote you Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, the cutest couple ever. Seriously, if there were an award for being adorable and ridiculously attractive together, they would win it. The People’s Choice Awards took place last night, and the Vampire Diaries duo — yay for the kiss in the last episode, BTW — arrived looking pretty fly. Ian, or the “Smolderholder,” wore a natty gray suit and looked like he was straight out of a commercial. Nina wore a sweet, green Elie Saab dress, which the whole theater got a good look at as she won the award for Favorite TV Drama Actress. Being the good boyfriend, Ian tweeted, “Congratulations Nina!!! You won!!!! People DO like you. You rock babe, truly.” We’re feeling the love, guys!
We’re as surprised at this list of the worst-dressed ladies at the People’s Choice Awards as you are. A lot of our favorites are in there, so don’t bother throwing stones at us, because we’ve beaten ourselves up plenty already. But in the interest of fairness, we’ll just chalk their fashion missteps down as a bad day at the stylists. Each of these women are lovely, but bad decisions can happen to anyone right?
Leading the way, sadly, is Vanessa Hudgens. She does her hippie-meets-goth thing usually, but this Jenny Packham gown combined the worst of both styles. We don’t like the way it’s constructed and the two layers — the black gown and the gold spiderweb — are looking slopply. The Casadei heel look too clunky, as well. Still, top points for her luminous smile! Next up is Jennifer Morrison, whose severe, huge bun and slash of too-dark lipstick veers into matron territory. That Oscar de la Renta dress is vaguely reminiscent of a lampshade. We feel it would’ve looked a lot better if she had done something different with her hair and make-up — perhaps gone softer. Her buddy Ginnifer Goodwin is also on the list. We love the color of her Roksanda Ilinicic dress, but those sleeves looks like they’re going to eat her alive, just like those Jimmy Choo’s look like they’re eating her feet. It’s too much dress for such a tiny body. Another disappointment was Lucy Hale, who is so pretty, but her black Cengiz Abazoğlu number has a split personality. It feels like she couldn’t decide whether she wanted to wear a maxi or a mini, so ended up going with both. Read more…
As expected, there was a lot of traffic on the red carpet for the People’s Choice Awards and we’re happy to report that some new faces popped up on the best-dressed radar. We welcome Ashley Benson into the fold. She wore an adorable, trumpet-skirted, white (with a black underskirt peeking out) Alice + Olivia frock that we now covet. Also wearing the same designer was a very pregnant Alyson Hannigan who wore a form-fitting, embellished sheath that showed off her bump. Her How I Met Your Mother co-star and close friend Cobie Smulders rocked it in a strapless, electric-blue Reema Acra dress. That incredible gold necklace you see on her is by Etro. Blue works like a charm for Cobie — remember her turquoise Grecian gown at the Emmys last year? Julianne Hough is also on the list and she gets the sexiest ever award in a sizzling silver chainmail Kaufman Franco dress. It clung to every curve but covered everything up in the front. But when she turned — bam — totally backless. Faith Hill — who sang at the show — looked like a beautiful, tall drink of water in a tangerine, halter-necked cocktail dress.
Now to the usual suspects. Miley Cyrus and Lea Michele both wore white but to very different effects. Miley wore a very original David Koma dress which had a sheer panel down the front — it didn’t look smutty at all — and a touch of colorful texturing at the hem. Lea wore a spectacular flapper-like Marchesa dress with a draped back. It was possibly our pick for the night, especially paired with her slash of pink lipstick. Kristen Bell chose one of our favorite designers, Valentino, and wore a lovely sheer blouse and skirt in the punchy shade of vermilion. Chloe Moretz looked fabulous in a green-and-black, edgy Proenza Schouler dress — trust her to pick the coolest designers at 14. It’s beyond us. Rounding up the list, and making us want to say “Top of the mornin’ to ya,” is Emma Stone. It’s the most unusual outfit for the awards show, but she nails it. Emma wore head-to-toe Gucci with a shamrock green tuxedo jacket, black cigarette pants and white silk shirt that had two long panels trailing out.
Have a look at our gallery below to check out the outfits we’ve outlined above. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

So, What Do We Think Of Robert Pattinson’s Hair?

The People have spoken. They apparently like Supernatural more than The Vampire Diaries, but we’ll forgive them for that, because they made some other good choices that wound up giving us a pretty cute People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night. Like any awards show, there was singing, dancing and overly scripted jokes. Also there were kisses and giggles and sweet thank yous. We thought we’d highlight a few of our faves:
10. We saw Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence bonding backstage with co-star Liam Hemsworth’s gf Miley Cyrus. Good thing they get along nicely!
9. Emma Stone, daring to be different in her awesome green tux jacket, managed to make a clichéd message sound sweet: ” You have to stay true to yourself and don’t be afraid even if people say what you do isn’t cool.”
8. Paul Wesley called Ian Somerhalder “Smolderholder” as he opened the envelope for the Favorite Comedy Movie award.
7. Lea Michele pointed out her cousin in the audience WHO LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE LEA MICHELE.
6. Ian Somerhalder was sitting next to Nina Dobrev when she won Favorite TV Drama Actress, but he tweeted her anyway: Congratulations Nina!!! You won!!!! People DO like you;) You rock babe, truly.”
5. Chloe Moretz realized she’s too young to really say “when I was a kid” and then she ended her speech like she was on the phone with all of us, “All right, bye.” Bye, Chloe, see you soon!
Well, it’s not like this is the first time he’s done this to us. Still, after waiting for hours to see Robert Pattinson appear at the People’s Choice Awards (sometimes known as the Twilight Awards, only this year, there was no actual eligible Twi-movie), it came as a bit of a shock. There he was, sitting in the front row with Betty White, sans his adorably mussed locks. And when he got up to accept the Favorite Drama Movie award for Water for Elephants, he seemed a little shocked himself — how does one accept an award without running your hand through your hair? Well, he did it like a champ, of course. Anyway, more on the PCAs soon, but in the meantime, let’s hear your thoughts (eulogies?) on RPattz’s buzzcut in the comments below.

People’s Choice Awards Cutest Moments
Katy Perry won’t be able to make it to the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday. She has other stuff going on. Like that one big horrible stuff she has with Russell Brand. It’s called a divorce; we don’t know why we’re being so coy about it. Despite being among the nominees for the January 11 ceremony, Perry tweeted this afternoon, “Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People’s Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS.” Hey, if we were in Katy’s position, we’d still be curled up in the fetal position, watching Toddlers & Tiaras and weeping. Heck, we’re going to do that tonight anyway, and we aren’t even getting a divorce.
The People’s Choice Awards would have been the “One That Got Away” singer’s first scheduled public appearance since news of Katy Perry’s divorce hit the blogosphere December 30. While she might not be up for a night on the red carpet, Katy did break her recent silence to thank her fans via Twitter. “I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again,” she tweeted. “Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, ‘close sources’ or my family.” Well…maybe the makers of the Forever Lazy suit do. Those people know exactly what a woman with a broken heart needs.
The nominees for the 2012 People’s Choice Awards — the bane of all snooty critics — have been announced. And since you can go ahead and see all of the nominees when you go to vote (through December 6) for the show’s winners, to be announced in the January 11 ceremony, we thought we’d concentrate on some important numbers revealed on the list.
9: Nominations for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (including Favorite Movie, four of the five nods for Favorite Actor Under 25 and Favorite Book Adaptation)
0: Nominations for Deathly Hallows, Part 1, which came out last November and missed last year’s cut-off.
7: Nominations for Katy Perry, who, in addition to the expected music categories received nods for Favorite Animated Movie Voice (for Smurfs) and TV guest star (How I Met Your Mother).
7: Nominations for Glee, including two for TV comedy actress (Jane Lynch and Lea Michele), two for comedy actor (Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith), two for guest stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristin Chenoweth, and one for network TV comedy. We are holding out hope for a Heather Morris nod one of these days.
6: Nominations for vampires, that’s just from True Blood and The Vampire Diaries.
13: Last year’s nominations for vampires, because Eclipse came out in the summer. Reminding us just how long it’s been since we’ve had a Twilight movie!
3: Nominations for Water for Elephants/Robert Pattinson. The frustrated Twilight vote finds its outlet!
0: Nods for women in the Favorite Movie Icon category.
0: Nods for women in the Favorite Action Star category.
1: Nod for a woman in the Favorite Superhero category: Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique in X-Men: First Class.
1: Nomination for a Kardashian. Kim, for fave celebreality star. Sorry, rest of the family!
rnrnAs the old saying goes, “Every yin has it’s yang.” Then again, maybe we’re thinking of “Every rose has it’s thorn.” Or even “What goes up, most come down.” Where’s that copy of Bartlett’s when we need it? Regardless! For all of the SQUEEing we did when Robsten (PHOTOS) emerged at last night’s People’s Choice Awards or OOOHing we did while watching last night’s other best dressed stars, we did an equal amount of SHUDDERing when we saw some of our favorite stars, um, well, not necessarily looking their best.rnrnFrom unfortunate spray tan disasters — yo Tiz, shoulda checked yourself before you wrecked yourself — to Leighton Meester’s unusually disheveled appearance, here’s our selection of last night’s seven biggest fashion flops.rnrn
