Dear Universe: in case you had somehow forgotten, Lindsay Lohan isn’t just some super-freckly nude Playboy model and/or frequently participant in our nation’s judicial system. She is first and foremost a legitimate actress! As a reminder, Lilo casually let photogs get a glimpse of the screenplay she’s reading while arriving with Ali Lohan at New York’s JFK airport. What, you don’t carry your scripts with the cover out over your face? Clearly you’re not as dedicated to the craft! Now that we know Lindsay courting a potential new role (like real actresses do!), what film do you think she just happened to be perusing at that exact moment?
In case you were wondering what Heidi Klum looks liked without Photoshop…or pants….dressed as Kris Kringle…in a hotel elevator, the answer to your bizarrely specific query is: fantastic. “Mrs Claus going to work,” the Project Runway host tweeted this morning in the latest, and possibly greatest, sexy celebrity Santa costume we’ve seen this season. Ho Ho Ho my god, seriously, look at this woman’s flawless legs! You know Mrs. Claus is taping this photo in front of her elliptical as we speak.
It’s been a busy year for Robert Pattinson, who spent much of his time shuffling through airports in Vancouver, Toronto, St. Thomas, London and Los Angeles as he shot Breaking Dawn and Cosmopolis, promoted Water for Elephants and hung out with his better half. In between all the traveling and guitar-lugging, Rob fit in an eventful year filled with magazine covers (Amish Hat, never forget), an adopted dog-child, a bevy of gorgeous Gucci suits and a memorable Movie Awards appearance filled with F-bombs and awkward jokes. We salute the Year in Rob with our favorite photos and moments, below.
It has been one heck of a 2011 for Beyonce. She dropped her fourth studio album, 4, released over five music videos, performed at numerous award shows, joined Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign to end childhood obesity and … hmm, what are we missing? Oh, yeah, she made a little Babyonce! (Forgive us, we’re exhausted just typing all of that out.) It’s safe to say that Bey has had a pretty spectacular year both personally and professionally, and she managed to accomplish it all with style and grace. We are nearly paralyzed with awe, but we managed to mobilize enough to gather 30 of her most fabulous and stunning looks from 2011. There is nothing this talented woman can’t do, and do simultaneously. Check out shots of B before the bump and pics of her fiercely rocking her new addition!
When VH1 Diva performerJessie J stopped by to chat with our red carpet host La La Anthony about her jaw-dropping outfit, she explained: “I sat with Falguni and Shane Peacock and I explained to them that I need a dress that’s skin tight that makes me feel like a diva.” Mission accomplished, thrice! Her red carpet number, a sheer black dress with gold embroidery and crucifix imagery, was one of the most talked-about outfits of the night, possibly because it made only a feeble attempt to cover her bra and panties — although she sure kept her feet modest with that black curtain.
Is there anything hotter than a diva? How about about a man who loves divas? How about a man who loves divas, and is himselfa diva? We know; it’s almost too beautiful to consider. Whether they were performing at the taping of VH1′s Divas Celebrates Soul tonight or simply respecting the shine of the women and men who did, gentlemen like Common, Questlove and 50 Cent brought that red carpet elegance. Boyz II Men also shared cooleyhighharmony in every sense of the word, while Travie McCoy and Nas went casual in caps. Hey, we don’t blame them; it’s freezing in New York! And we don’t want anyone going into full diva mode, would we? VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul premieres Monday, Dec., 19 at 9PM EST.
Yank on your Spanx and prepare your side eye: the ladies of VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul, which premieres Monday, Dec. 19 at 9PM EST, turned it out on the red carpet. Metallics were huge at the event: Mob Wives‘ Drita D’avanzo slipped into skin-tight gold, Estelle shined in Grecian-style bronze and Love And Hip-Hop 2‘s Emily Bustamante shimmered in off-the-shoulder gunmetal. Jessie J paired her gold with sheer cut-outs and an asymmetrical bob, while The Good Wife‘s Archie Panjabi dressed in slinky black. Jill Scott looked royal in blue, La La Anthony paired a fuchsia lip with herringbone and a slick updo (because she’s business, not casual), and a tinyJennifer Hudson paired peach with a mint manicure. Looking heavenly, both Mary J. Blige and Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine upped the glamor with glittering white. We hope looking this hot doesn’t ruin anyone’s diva reputation. How can you demand to be shot from your good side when every side looks equally amazing? Check out the gallery below for the ten sexiest looks! (and a few more thrown in for good measure…)
La La Vazquez Anthony asked the most important diva-related question of all time tonight on the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul red carpet: which performer is destined to be the next Aretha Franklin? Keeping in mind that each performer is talented in his or her own way, plus there will never be another Aretha Franklin, the clearly crowd favorite seemed to be the one and only Mary J. Blige. That being said, you can’t deny singers like Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott and Jessie J offer some strong, sassy, well-coiffed competition. What do you think? Who should be graced with the title of The Next Aretha?
When we found out that Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol was heading to Rio (where they’re streaming the red carpet live), we realized that they’ve literally taken the movie across the globe. And by they, we mean actors Tom Cruise, Paula Patton (who is gorgeous, BTW) and Simon Pegg. Don’t worry, we already screamed, “Where’s Jeremy Renner” at the screen a bunch of times. Looks like he was busy doing the television interviews while they hopped on flights. The premieres started in Japan, moved to Seoul, covered Mumbai and Dubai, headed to Moscow, jumped to Madrid, Munich and Paris and made a pitstop in London. Gillian Anderson randomly turned up at the last one, FYI. So as you can see, that’s quite a journey they’ve been on. We figured it would be a good idea to put photographs from all the red carpets in one post so you can get your fill. But hurry up and look at the gallery, because this message will self destruct in five seconds.
