Howdy, partner! While last night’s Bernie premiere wasn’t the first time Matthew McConaughey has shown off his new ‘stache, his decision to top off his ensemble with a cowboy hat certainly brings out the Marlboro Man vibe—or the John Holmes vibe depending on your cultural reference point. Do you dig the look, or would you rather he bring back the smooth-faced Surfer, Dude aesthetic we’ve seen for years? Check out the gallery below for shots of mustachioed Mateo with wife Camila Alves and co-stars Jack Black and Shirley MacLaine. You have to assume movie is relatively serious if Jack isn’t pulling his Kung Fu Panda craziness on the carpet.
We’re used to seeing Chloe Sevigny deck herself out in bizarro fashions on a regular basis, but she really outdid herself at the Go International Designer Collective launch party with her leopard-bow tie-garter ensemble. The things is, she seemed to take all the other normally trendy, stylish women in attendance down with her, which is unfortunate. Liv Tyler, Olivia Munn, and Lake Bell (pictured in our gallery below) all wore some weird variation of high-waisted mini-skirt and none of them really looked amazing, to tell the truth. Take out poll below and, in the grand tradition of American Idol, vote for the worst.
This can’t be happening!!! Justin Bieber, perhaps under the influence of Rascal Flatts, has cut off his hair helmet for their upcoming video together, saying he wanted a more “mature look.” “i got a lil haircut…i like it,” Bieber tweeted. “and we are giving all the hair cut to CHARITY to auction. Details coming soon.” Smart guy—now fans can’t get mad unless they’re anti-philanthrophy. But do you like the new look? Is it a little too Emma Watson or a necessary evolution from the Bieber brain bullet? Let us know!
In a disturbing turn of events, The Hunger Games IMDB page has an actor listed for Peeta Mellark, and it’s not anyone we predicted. A relatively unknown actor and essentially the opposite of what we imagined while lusting for Peeta as we peeled through the series, Gabriel Liotta is listed to play the lovestruck golden boy. While we recognize that anyone with a pro account can contribute to IMDB’s pages, why hasn’t it been corrected if false? We’re having a mini meltdown here. What happened to our original prediction of Garrett Hedlund? Or Hunter Parrish? Even Alex Pettyfer?!
We’ll keep you posted with further casting news and rumors. Until then, who’s your dream Peeta?
Dr. Dre has been a background player in the music business for the better part of the last decade, choosing to act as producer rather than performer during that time. But Dre has announced that he’ll be performing live with Eminem at the Grammy Awards this Sunday, his first television appearance in over ten years and his first Grammy performance ever. Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine is also reportedly joining the pair during their performance. Dre’s appearance is just one of many in the pretty amazing Grammy night lineup—dare we say that the scheduled performances are actually a pretty good representation of “cool” music this year, with acts like Mumford & Sons, Florence And The Machine, Cee-Lo, Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire taking the stage.
The Grammy Awards air this Sunday, February 13 on CBS at 8 p.m. EST.
