Taylor Swift Vs. Lea Michele: Who Rocked The Time 100?

Time‘s gala for the 100 Most Influential People brought out everyone from Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin to Elton John and Neil Patrick Harris, but we’re most interested in which outfits deserved to be influential. Our favorites were Taylor Swift‘s sheer-sided dark mini and Lea Michele‘s strapless gold gown. Jedward: Should They Keep Their Hair Up?

Even Jedward may be getting tired of their crazy hair. Though the infamous X Factor contestants (best known for that horrifying “Under Pressure/Ice Ice Baby” mash-up) were up to their pointy-headed antics at an ad shoot for British carpet freshener Shake & Vac earlier today (those lucky English!), they also let photographers shoot them sans gel outside the Mayfair Hotel, where they still grinned like idiots and did air-kicks. Are the brothers hoping to outgrow their most memorable bit of shtick and get by on talent alone? And who’s stupid idea was that? Natalie Portman At The NYC Ballet: Ravishing In Red?

So many galas, so little time! On top the DKMS leukemia benefit with Halle Berry and the Chopard party featuring Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow, the NYC Ballet held their Spring Gala last night in Lincoln Center, with Sarah Jessica Parker and Natalie Portman showing their support in style. Portman, who wore a striking red dress from Lavin, also happens to be dating the ballet’s principal dancer, Benjamin Millepied. Let us know what you think of the lady in red in our TheFABLife poll.

Colin Farrell’s Gangster Look: Dapper Or Dumb?

Hands in the air! For reasons known only to Colin Farrell, the Irish actor showed up at the premiere of his new film Ondine one tommy gun short of a St. Valentine’s Day massacre. Wasn’t he worried about being assassinated by the coward Robert Ford? You’d never guess this movie was about an Irish fisherman who falls for a mermaid. Jessica Alba Vs. Kate Hudson: Who Looks Hotter?

Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba shared the stage at the NY premiere of their new film The Killer Inside Me last night at the Tribeca Film Festival, giving us a perfect opportunity to compare and contrast their styles. Alba, who has previously posed with Hudson at Dior shows in Paris, chose an ethereal, off-white layered look courtesy of Chloe, while Hudson went with dramatic lipstick and a short black skirt and shirt from Louis Vuitton (the less said about her poncho the better, as we’re not throwing her in a style war with spaghetti western-era Clint Eastwood). Should Elton John Replace Simon On Idol?

Really, why do they consider anyone else? Former Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that no one is better suited to replace departing judge Simon Cowell than Elton John (“he’s absolutely it“). Though we understand the logic behind such rumored frontrunners as ex-Sony head Tommy Mottola and Madonna manager Guy Oseary, we have to agree with Nigel. Mottola and Oseary may bring industry respect, they’re mostly famous for respectively marrying Mariah Carey and letting Madonna release “American Life.” John is a trash-talking British sweetheart (we like those) who could probably use an excuse to get off the road, and his star power could keep Ellen DeGeneres from being Idol‘s Cousin Oliver. Plus he’s pals with the other judges—even Simon, as proven by their goofy photo ops in the gallery below.

Kathy Ireland Defends Her Red Carpet Wreckage On Twitter

Don’t think you can call Kathy Ireland a druggy robot and get away with it. The former model and current entrepreneur has been responding to criticisms of her pre-Oscar red carpet interviews on Twitter, whether or not they were directed to her account. Here are some of our favorite polite retorts from the Necessary Roughness star (typos hers).

Laughed @ being hot topic on twitter 2night. So many mis understood that the J.O.Y. was being invited 2 co host. Grateful to all. Thank You!…Some say I looked pregnant.LOL! Not true…others say I was drinking…would LOL if it were not so sad. Just excited 2 be involved. Grateful…not nervous..just having fun. Next time, pls hit your remote control. LOL!…No Red Bull or chemicals…just J.O.Y.! It should be noted that none of these responses were directed towards a person named Angel; she just uses it the way others use “dude.” Explaining why she felt the need to personally acknowledge the hatorade, she tweeted “When you build a company like ours, you reply to all—good, bad and everything. Lady Gaga Goes Costume Crazy In London

Lady Gaga wore over 100 hot outfits in 2009, and 2010 is looking to be just as wild. For all the nun habits and mossy monstrosities worn at her concerts in London this weekend, Gaga looked just as outrageous stepping in and out of her hotel. Among our favorites were Friday’s red and black RoboMountie one-piece, the lobster mask she wore to her afterparty at Mr. Chow (glad guest Bruce Springsteen—you read that correctly—was around to enjoy it) and the fringe-festooned golden dress she wore Saturday, suggesting she could always settle for simple glamor if she ever gets tired of the au courant insanity. Not that she is, judging from the black lace we-don’t-know-what she wore to the Mac Viva Glam launch earlier today. See these looks and shots from the concert in the gallery below.
